Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for achieving a predeterminable basis weight distribution in the transverse direction of a fleece formed on a moving support from lignocellulosic and / or cellulosic particles mixed with at least one binder, such as chips, fibers or the like for the production of chip, fiber and the like Plates. Furthermore, the invention is directed to an apparatus for performing this method.
- a spreading device to compensate for different basis weights in the transverse direction of chip or fiber nonwovens or the like for the production of chipboard, fiberboard and the like in which above a metering conveyor belt a stripping roller or the like for sprinkled on the metering conveyor belt Chips, fibers and the like is provided.
- the gap width between the metering conveyor belt and the stripping roller can be adjusted to compensate for different grammages in the transverse direction of the fleece in that the metering conveyor belt is infinitely adjustable and its height can be adjusted differently in the transverse direction.
- the object of the invention is to design a method of the type defined at the outset in such a way that the basis weight distribution in the transverse direction of a nonwoven can be specified very precisely, and fluctuations in the raw material composition and fluctuations in the chip geometry can be immediately compensated for in order to maintain a desired basis weight distribution and a change from one fleece thickness to another fleece thickness can be carried out without problems.
- the structure of the device for carrying out the method according to the invention is intended to be particularly simple and easy to operate and be reliable and are also suitable for retrofitting in existing systems.
- the part of the task relating to the method is achieved according to the invention in that the thickness of the entire nonwoven or, in the case of a nonwoven having a multi-layer structure, at least one of the nonwoven layers depending on a desired basis weight distribution over the width of the nonwoven, at least in regions, by mechanical intervention over the width of the nonwoven is changed.
- the mechanical intervention is preferably carried out after the middle layer scattering and before the upper cover layer scattering, because at this point such a mechanical or pneumatic contact of the nonwoven is possible which does not adversely affect the surface character of the finished plate.
- the material removed from the fleece during the mechanical intervention is preferably returned, for example, via a screw conveyor or pneumatically into the upstream metering bunker.
- several directly adjoining correction sections are formed in the transverse direction of the fleece, with the gap between the base supporting the fleece and a stripping device being changed in each correction section as a function of a basis weight measurement carried out for the respective section, which advantageously takes place immediately before and / or is carried out after the mechanical correction intervention.
- the respective weight per unit area of which can be specified very precisely owing to the influence of a wiping member assigned to the specific area, and the elimination of mutual influences of adjacent areas enables a very differentiated volume profile in the transverse direction of the Achieve fleece.
- the basis weight correction in the pre-web formation has the considerable advantage that the corrections to be carried out in the subsequent web formation are minimized and, accordingly, the amount of the material to be returned is also small.
- the middle layer is preferably scattered with an excess of material which is greater than the maximum negative scattering error to be expected in each correction section. If the preliminary fleece is corrected, the excess material to be used in the middle layer scattering can again be minimized, which is also the result of the advantageous interaction of the corrective measures in the preliminary fleece formation and in the final fleece formation.
- a preferred device for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized in that in the area between a middle layer and a top layer scattering station, a backscattering device designed as a scraper rake or in the form of endless belts 12 is provided with a plurality of adjacent and vertically adjustable segments , and that the adjustment of the segments of this stripping device is controlled as a function of the - nominal basis weight distribution in the transverse direction of the fleece.
- At least one traversing measuring device is assigned to the rear stripping device, which consists of vertically adjustable segments, the instantaneous position of the segments being controlled as a function of the measured values supplied by this measuring device.
- the measuring device can work, for example, with gamma rays or on an optical basis with reflection light analysis. If several measurements are carried out for each section, the correction is carried out as a function of the mean value formed section by section, the accuracy of the correction system increasing with the number of measurements. Taking into account the function and the investment costs, the measuring device is preferably installed in the form of a traversing measuring device behind the correction device, and as close to the correction device as possible.
- the individual adjacent scraper rake segments can consist, for example, of known, two-armed computing elements or of endless belts fitted with drivers, in the latter case all adjacent endless belts being guided on the one hand by a common drive roller and on the other hand by a height-adjustable deflection roller.
- the rotating back rake comprises a plurality of rake elements which are arranged next to one another and are adjustable in length, in particular telescopically extendable, wherein in each case a plurality of adjacent rake elements form a segment with elements which can be adjusted in length.

- a preferably traversing measuring device 6 Located upstream of the stripping device 10 is a preferably traversing measuring device 6.
- the stripping device 10 works together with a device 26 for returning the material stripped back from the device 10.
- the stripping device 10 consists of a plurality of endless belts 12 which directly adjoin one another in the transverse direction of the fleece carrier 22 and which are provided with drivers 13 on their outside.
- strip-shaped endless belts 12 which together form the device 10, are guided over a common drive roller 15 and each with its own deflection roller 16.
- the deflection rollers 16 can be adjusted both together and individually in terms of their distance from the fleece carrier 22, as is indicated by the arrow 9.
- the distance between the drive roller 15 and the fleece carrier 22 is always significantly greater than the respective distance of the individual deflection rollers 16 from the fleece carrier 22, so that the stripping effect required to compensate for fluctuations in the basis weight can always be guaranteed and, after the stripping device, a fleece consisting of a lower cover layer and middle layer 23 is present with the desired basis weight distribution, which is no longer distorted in any way by the subsequent spreading of the cover layer.
- a measuring device 6 for determining the weight per unit area is assigned to the stripping device 10 and is arranged on a traverse so that it can be moved transversely to the fleece 23 in the direction of arrow 7 and thereby determines the weight per unit area transversely to the direction of movement of the fleece.
- This measuring device 6 is connected downstream of the stripping device 10 in FIG. 2, but is preferably arranged directly in front of the stripping device 10.
- FIG. 2 an adjustment in the sense of a is shown for one of the adjacent sections of the stripping device 10 Enlargement of the gap between fleece carrier 22 and corresponding roll 16 indicated.
- the consequence of such an adjustment is that the corresponding section of the fleece 23 - as also indicated by dashed lines - has a greater height or thickness over the width of the corresponding section.
- FIG. 3 shows, for example, four adjoining sections 11 of the stripping device 10, as shown in a side view in FIG. 2.

- the deflection rollers 16 are preferably provided with a circumferential notch in which a corresponding attachment of the endless belt 12 engages and thus ensures that an absolute straight running of the respective belt is ensured.
- the deflection rollers 16 can be adjusted in the direction of the arrows 9 relative to the fleece carrier 22, as a result of which the amount discharged over the respective segment width is increased or decreased. This is indicated in FIG. 3 by the offset of the endless belts 12 which define the various segments 11.
- the discharge volume can also be changed over the entire effective width by simultaneously adjusting all deflection rollers 16, which corresponds to a kind of basic adjustment.
- the rotational movement between the individual deflection rollers 16 is transmitted by special couplings which are installed between the rollers 16 and allow a large axis offset.
- the profiling of the preliminary web in the transverse direction shown in detail in FIG. 3 corresponds, for example, to a constant weight per unit area taking into account a different volume resulting from chip material of different density.

- each segment can be set to a different gap width with respect to the fleece carrier 22, as a result of which the volume becomes different and can thus be selected that there is again a constant basis weight in the transverse direction of the fleece 23.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for achieving a predeterminable basis weight distribution in the transverse direction of a fleece formed on a moving support from lignocellulosic and / or cellulosic particles mixed with at least one binder, such as chips, fibers or the like for the production of chip, fiber and the like Plates. Furthermore, the invention is directed to an apparatus for performing this method.
From DE-OS 31 48 800 it is known to detect fluctuations in the basis weight of nonwovens by a large number of individual measurements in the transverse direction of the respective nonwoven and to compensate for this by influencing the scattering device used to form the nonwoven. Although this makes it possible to counteract fluctuations in the basis weight in the transverse direction of the fleece, this involves an effort which, at least in some cases, cannot be readily accepted.
From DE-PS 22 14 900 a spreading device to compensate for different basis weights in the transverse direction of chip or fiber nonwovens or the like for the production of chipboard, fiberboard and the like is known, in which above a metering conveyor belt a stripping roller or the like for sprinkled on the metering conveyor belt Chips, fibers and the like is provided. The gap width between the metering conveyor belt and the stripping roller can be adjusted to compensate for different grammages in the transverse direction of the fleece in that the metering conveyor belt is infinitely adjustable and its height can be adjusted differently in the transverse direction.
The disadvantage of this known solution is that when the metering conveyor belt is lowered or raised section by section, the respectively adjacent segments are also always influenced and changed in an undesirable manner. Another disadvantage is that the metering conveyor belt can be damaged due to different expansions across the width, in the area of the seals to the bunker side wall, there are looping effects on the metering conveyor belt, and moreover in this case dosing conveyor that is difficult to guide can never be sealed dust-tight with respect to the bunker side wall.
From DE-Gbm 75 15 958 a device for metering wood shavings or other chip or fiber-like substances and binders for the production of chipboard is known, in which at least one scraping rake is provided in a bunker with a metering conveyor belt on the bottom, which is provided in its entirety is adjustable in height depending on signals obtained by means of a measuring device. With this arrangement it can be achieved that a certain amount of glue is always brought together with a certain amount of chips and in this way possible over-gluing or under-gluing of the chip material can be avoided.
From EP-A 100 69162 a method for influencing the density distribution of a chip fleece to be scattered over its scattering width is known, in which the amount of at least one partial stream is reduced from at least one part of its width from a chip stream consisting of several partial streams, for which purpose at least one height - and laterally adjustable suction nozzle of a given width is arranged opposite discharge rollers and the extracted partial quantity is transported back into the bunker. This arrangement is very complex and difficult to control in terms of accuracy.
The object of the invention is to design a method of the type defined at the outset in such a way that the basis weight distribution in the transverse direction of a nonwoven can be specified very precisely, and fluctuations in the raw material composition and fluctuations in the chip geometry can be immediately compensated for in order to maintain a desired basis weight distribution and a change from one fleece thickness to another fleece thickness can be carried out without problems. The structure of the device for carrying out the method according to the invention is intended to be particularly simple and easy to operate and be reliable and are also suitable for retrofitting in existing systems.
The part of the task relating to the method is achieved according to the invention in that the thickness of the entire nonwoven or, in the case of a nonwoven having a multi-layer structure, at least one of the nonwoven layers depending on a desired basis weight distribution over the width of the nonwoven, at least in regions, by mechanical intervention over the width of the nonwoven is changed.
The mechanical intervention is preferably carried out after the middle layer scattering and before the upper cover layer scattering, because at this point such a mechanical or pneumatic contact of the nonwoven is possible which does not adversely affect the surface character of the finished plate.
The material removed from the fleece during the mechanical intervention is preferably returned, for example, via a screw conveyor or pneumatically into the upstream metering bunker.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, several directly adjoining correction sections are formed in the transverse direction of the fleece, with the gap between the base supporting the fleece and a stripping device being changed in each correction section as a function of a basis weight measurement carried out for the respective section, which advantageously takes place immediately before and / or is carried out after the mechanical correction intervention.
By creating a plurality of non-woven areas adjoining one another in the transverse direction, the respective weight per unit area of which can be specified very precisely owing to the influence of a wiping member assigned to the specific area, and the elimination of mutual influences of adjacent areas enables a very differentiated volume profile in the transverse direction of the Achieve fleece.
It is particularly advantageous, in addition to the basis weight compensation during the fleece formation process or after the fleece formation process, to carry out a basis weight compensation upstream of this in the dosing hopper during the preliminary fleece formation, in particular both processes of basis weight compensation being carried out in an analogous manner using corresponding correction sections.
The basis weight correction in the pre-web formation has the considerable advantage that the corrections to be carried out in the subsequent web formation are minimized and, accordingly, the amount of the material to be returned is also small.
In order to be able to carry out an optimal correction in any case, the middle layer is preferably scattered with an excess of material which is greater than the maximum negative scattering error to be expected in each correction section. If the preliminary fleece is corrected, the excess material to be used in the middle layer scattering can again be minimized, which is also the result of the advantageous interaction of the corrective measures in the preliminary fleece formation and in the final fleece formation.
A preferred device for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized in that in the area between a middle layer and a top layer scattering station, a backscattering device designed as a scraper rake or in the form of
These measures make it possible to set an exact outlet height between the fleece carrier and the individual streak segments without changing the respectively preset outlet height of adjacent segments.
At least one traversing measuring device is assigned to the rear stripping device, which consists of vertically adjustable segments, the instantaneous position of the segments being controlled as a function of the measured values supplied by this measuring device. The measuring device can work, for example, with gamma rays or on an optical basis with reflection light analysis.
The individual adjacent scraper rake segments can consist, for example, of known, two-armed computing elements or of endless belts fitted with drivers, in the latter case all adjacent endless belts being guided on the one hand by a common drive roller and on the other hand by a height-adjustable deflection roller.
Both versions have in common that each segment can be regulated very precisely and that there is no disruptive influence on neighboring segments.
As a variant of the scraper rake segments that can be adjusted in their distance from a non-woven base, those scraper rakes can also be used whose effective range can be adjusted by changing the length of the respective computing elements. In this case, the rotating back rake comprises a plurality of rake elements which are arranged next to one another and are adjustable in length, in particular telescopically extendable, wherein in each case a plurality of adjacent rake elements form a segment with elements which can be adjusted in length.
Further advantageous features and refinements of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

The
The discharge volume can also be changed over the entire effective width by simultaneously adjusting all
The rotational movement between the
The profiling of the preliminary web in the transverse direction shown in detail in FIG. 3 corresponds, for example, to a constant weight per unit area taking into account a different volume resulting from chip material of different density.
Fig. 4 zeigt eine Ausführungsvariante einer Vorrichtung nach der Erfindung, bei der gleiche Teile mit den gleichen Bezugszeichen wie in den Figuren 1 bis 3 versehen sind.FIG. 4 shows an embodiment variant of a device according to the invention, in which the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals as in FIGS. 1 to 3.
In this embodiment, the stripping
