Definitions
- the invention relates to a massage device with a massage plate which can be made to vibrate by means of an electromotive drive unit and which is L-shaped with two rectangular sections provided with knobs, the upper sides of the sections being at an angle of approximately 270 ° to one another and the first section being for a vibration massage can be set in motion by means of the drive unit with movement components that are approximately perpendicular to the second partial area and the second partial area executes lifting and lowering movements for a tapping massage in accordance with these movement components.
- a massage device of this type is known from DE-A 19 51 644.
- This known massage device is designed as a massage head and therefore has only very small massaging areas. The massager must be guided by hand when used.
- the massage device is designed as a standing device for a foot and leg massage, that the two partial areas are integrally connected to one another via a convex, undulating intermediate area, that the massage plate is held in two angular housing cheeks and that the drive unit is accommodated in a housing which is triangular in cross section and which closes off the space delimited by the partial regions of the massage plate between the housing cheeks.
- the two housing cheeks can carry large massage plates.
- the massager can be set up, whereby the wave-shaped transition area between the massage plates can be used for massaging the soles of the feet, thus expanding the area of application of the massager.
- the use of the massage device in conjunction with a container for the wet vibration massage that can be set up on the first section of the massage plate remains unaffected, although the coupling and decoupling between the drive unit and the impeller in the container according to DE-PS 32 37 333 are retained can.
- An embodiment is advantageous, which is characterized in that the upper sides of the partial areas of the massage plate have nubs of different sizes, the nubs being smaller in the second partial area.
- the partial areas of the measuring plate are connected to one another in one piece via a convexly rounded intermediate area
- this intermediate area can preferably be used for massaging the soles of the feet.
- the intermediate area is wave-shaped, the wave crests being divided into a plurality of partial sections by cutouts and that the divided wave crests extend perpendicularly to the movement component of the first partial area of the massage plate.
- the first section of the massage plate can be made to oscillate, the movement components of which are directed perpendicular to the second section of the massage plate.
- the vibrations of the first partial area thus have a full amplitude on the lifting and lowering movements of the second partial area of the massage plate.
- An improvement of the vibration massage without impairing the lifting and lowering movements of the second section of the massage plate is achieved according to one embodiment in that the first section of the massage plate can be set into circular or elliptical oscillating movements.
- the tapping massage - movement of the second section of the massage plate - is additionally superimposed on a vibration massage movement.
- the structural design of the massage device is designed according to one embodiment so that the massage plate is held in two angular housing cheeks and that the drive unit is housed in a triangular-shaped housing which closes the space delimited by the undersides of the partial areas of the massage plate between the housing cheeks. It is also provided that the housing cheeks protrude from the underside of the housing and end at the ends in rounded surfaces. If the massager is parked on these shelves, then the first section is in an optimally inclined position for foot massage.
- a housing cheek is wider and preferably accommodates the operating elements and display elements in the region of the partial region of the massage plate which can be made to oscillate.
- the configuration is such that the underside of the second partial area of the massage plate is supported on elastic buffers which are attached to the housing and / or the housing cheeks, then the second partial area of the massage plate is supported under load and protected against overload.
- the position of the partial areas of the massage plate can be changed in that the housing is set back in the area of the housing cheeks and that fold-out legs are rotatably mounted between the housing and the housing cheeks.
- the optimal position of the second part of the massage plate for the calf-tapping massage results from the fact that the legs are articulated in the end region of the second part of the massage plate and hold the second section of the massage plate approximately horizontally in the unfolded position.
- the stability of the massage device can be improved in that the free ends of the legs are connected to one another by means of a cross strut.
- the massage device according to the invention is approximately roof-shaped, the massage plate 13 having the two partial areas 14 and 18. These partial areas 14 and 18 are at an angle of 270 ° with their tops provided with the knobs 15 and 19.
- the knobs 19 are smaller than the knobs 15.
- the convexly rounded intermediate region 16 with the subdivided wave crests 17 connects the subregion 14 in one piece with the subregion 18.
- the subdivided wave crests 17 run transversely to the oscillating movement 27 of the subregion 14 Swinging movement 27 is a pendulum movement which is derived from the electromotive drive unit and which takes place in the plane of the partial region 14.
- the massage plate 13 is held by the two housing cheeks 11 and 12.
- the operating elements 20 and 21 for switching on the massage device and for setting the oscillating movement, as well as the display element 22, are accommodated in the wider housing cheek 11 in the region of the partial area 14 of the massage plate 13.
- the drive unit is accommodated in the housing 10 which is triangular in cross section and which covers the space between the housing cheeks 11 and 12 delimited by the undersides of the partial regions 14 and 18 of the massage plate 13.
- the housing 10 is set back, so that legs 27 can be rotatably supported between the housing cheeks 11 and 12 and the housing 10, as indicated by the reference number 29 in FIG. 4.
- the ends of the L-shaped housing cheeks 11 and 12 are rounded and protrude as shelves over the lower parts of the housing 10.
- the feet 23 can also be placed on the intermediate area 16 with the divided wave crests 17, so that the soles of the feet 25 of the feet 23 are subjected to a vibration massage, as can be seen in FIG. 3.
- the vibrations of the partial area 14 of the massage plate 13 can also be in the form of circular or elliptical movements 28 are performed. It is important that the movements 28 have components that are perpendicular to the partial area 18 of the massage plate 13 in order to set this partial area 18 in corresponding lifting and lowering movements.
- the massage plate 13 has the play required for the adjustment in the housing cheeks 11 and 12, the underside of the partial region 18 being supported on buffers which are connected to the housing cheeks 11 and 12 and / or the housing 10.
- the section 14 of the massage plate 13 is coupled to the drive unit in a known manner.
- the partial area 18 of the massage plate 13 assumes an approximately horizontal position.
- the feet 23 are placed in such a way that the calves 26 rest on the partial area 18 with its knobs 19.
- the calves 26 are subjected to a tapping massage by the lifting and lowering movements of the partial area 18 of the massage plate 13.
- the legs 27 of the massage device are stiffened at their ends by means of the cross strut 28, so that the stability of the massage device in the position according to FIG. 4 is improved.
- the embodiment shows a massage device that is specially designed for foot massage.
- the basic idea of the two partial areas of the massage plate which are at an angle to one another and the massage plate which is driven by a single drive unit can also be used for other massage devices in order to be able to carry out either a vibration or a tapping massage.
