Definitions

  • the invention relates to a dispenser for pasty masses, with a housing in which a piston which can only be displaced in the emptying direction is arranged and which has an external actuating handle which is formed on a wall of the head piece which can be pressed in the direction of the piston and which has a dispenser.
  • a dispenser of this type is known from EP-A-51 790.
  • the actuating handle which is designed as a bellows, causes the piston to be pulled over the level column by its resetting. This retraction of the piston occurs primarily, i. H. before the remaining amount in the tube, which acts like a stopper, could balance the vacuum with air.
  • the pasty mass itself forms the valve.
  • the classic valve such as that used by DE-AS 12 10 149, is dispensable, so the design is considerably simplified.
  • a dispenser with a dome-like application wall with a central outlet opening is known from European patent publication 0 100 204.
  • the pasty mass is applied via a manually operated screw piston.
  • a mechanism known from lipstick housings is used. This is relatively complex. In addition, inaccurate dosing, especially overdosing, easily occurs.
  • the object of the invention is to design a generic dispenser in a technically simple, advantageous manner in such a way that the dispensing is regulated without loss when the dispenser is used.
  • the actuating handle itself forms the application area that spreads the pasty content, for example cream.
  • the actuation handle is designed as a dome-shaped cap.
  • the latter stands together with the membrane-like wall, with the projecting tube of which it is connected in a simple manner via a collar.
  • the cap and collar are expediently constructed in one piece.
  • the tube sits concentrically in the dome-shaped wall and is surrounded by an elastic ring zone.
  • the concentric position of the tube leads to a high degree of mobility of the wall.
  • the resilience is favored. In terms of assignment, it has a favorable effect that the wall sits on a plug in the housing.
  • the stopper, wall and tube form a single unit.
  • the optimal material for the reset function and tightness can be used.
  • a sufficient distance between the inner surface of the cap and the wall must be left.
  • the cap is covered by a sealing cap. The latter extends at a distance from the cap, so that its inner surface does not come into contact with the application surface. This prevents the inner surface from smearing.
  • the closure cover is also used to seal the dispenser outlet opening in that it has a stopper entering the opening mentioned.
  • the closure cover is held on an annular wall of the housing, which runs at a distance on the outside of the edge of the cap edge. The edge edge plunges into an annular space in the housing.
  • the cylindrical housing 1 of the dispenser contains a piston 2. Its oppositely aligned edge lips 2 'lead to the cylindrical housing inner wall 1'.
  • the housing 1 is closed at the bottom by a base part 3 'forming a base 3'. It has a central opening 4 for air compensation in the event of piston displacement.
  • the piston can only be moved in the direction of discharge (arrow x).
  • the housing 1 carries an actuating handle in the form of a cup-shaped cap 6 which applies the pasty mass.
  • the latter is designed in a dome shape. Its approximately spherical section merges with a curvature 6 ′ close to the edge into the downward-facing cap edge 6 ′′.
  • the cap 6 Centrally located, the cap 6 has an outlet opening 7 for the pasty mass M contained in the housing 1.
  • a channel 8 connects to the opening 7.
  • Channel 8 is formed by one Tube 9.
  • the tube 9 is integrally formed on a wall 10 forming the head piece K of the dispenser such that its inner end section 9 'protrudes into the pasty mass M over its entire length projecting inward, ie the inner, always open mouth end of the tube 9 is completely exposed from the mass M, while the outer section 9 ′′, that is to say outwardly or upwardly projecting beyond the wall 10, is connected to the cap 6.
  • the cap 6 forms a collar 12 for this purpose
  • the cap interior accommodates the outer section 9 "of the tube. This can be a fixed plug connection.
  • a screw connection is preferred, for which purpose the tube carries the corresponding outer and the cylindrical inner wall of the collar the corresponding internal thread.
  • the end of the tube is covered with the cap material.
  • Channel 8 and outlet opening 7 have the same clear diameter.
  • the channel cross section corresponds to a fraction of the cross section of the container interior.
  • the channel 8 has a length that corresponds approximately to five to eight times the channel diameter.
  • the wall 10 continues on the housing side into a hollow plug 13. Its lower, outer edge zone forms a clip ring 14, which engages behind a horizontal ring shoulder 15. The shoulder is preceded by a ramp 16.
  • the back of the clip ring also has an undercut 17.
  • the insertion depth of the plug is defined by an annular collar 18 molded onto it, which lies on the end face of the housing 1. Starting from this bulge-like ring collar 18, the wall 10 extends in a dome-shaped manner over the interior of the housing 1. This wall thus takes a contour-like course with respect to the cap 6 extending thereabove at a distance y. While the central region of the wall surrounding the tube 9 is relatively thick-walled is designed and runs horizontally, the area adjoining this annular section merges into an elastic ring zone 19.
  • the increased elasticity and flexibility results from a significant reduction in wall thickness by approximately 50% compared to the actual wall thickness. This creates a membrane with high mobility and tiltability. This tilting movement is initiated via the cap 6 serving as a spreading tool. The distance y between the inner surface 6 ′′ of the cap and the top of the wall 10 is even matched to extreme displacements.
  • the dispenser outlet opening 7 is closed by means of a stopper 20 of a sealing cap 21 projecting into it.
  • a screw connection is used. If necessary, a simple clamp assignment is sufficient.
  • the closed position is exactly defined in that the downward drawn edge of the closed lid comes with its end face against the annular shoulder 22 of an annular wall 23 molded onto the housing.
  • the assignment is coordinated so that the inner surface of the closure cover extends at a distance z in front of the outer surface of the cap. Any remaining amounts of the pasty mass that are still on the dome-shaped coating surface of the cap cannot be transferred to the sealing cover.
  • the incoming plug 20 additionally secures the position of the cap. Even an abrupt load, such as occurs, for example, when the dispenser has fallen down, does not lead to the cap 6 being tilted.
  • the annular wall 23 protrudes from the housing jacket wall.
  • the dispenser head K is essentially mushroom-shaped.
  • the peripheral projection is designated by 24 in FIG. 1. It takes a concave ring shape, so that a circumferential annular space 25, into which the lower edge zone of the cap 6 protrudes slightly, is achieved between the housing wall still running upward and the annular wall 23 running parallel to it. In the second exemplary embodiment, this annular space is still within the cylindrical cross section of the housing 1.
  • the reference numerals are, as far as is necessary for understanding, correspondingly transferred.
  • the piston 2 has a projection lying in the dispensing direction, which fits exactly into the cavity of the stopper 13, as a result of which the pasty mass is dispensed essentially without residue.
  • the piston cavity region 2 ′′ provided for the inner end section 9 ′ of the tube 9 has a larger clear width than this, so that the desired tilting movement of the membrane M is not impeded in the final phase of the dispensing.
  • the dispenser described works as follows: after removing the closure cover 21, the dispenser is directed with its cap against the surface of the body part to be treated and is placed on it. A slight application of pressure leads to the bulging wall 10 being pressed in.
  • the piston 2 is supported by the clamping module 3, so that it cannot deflect downward.
  • the pasty mass M thus pushes through the inner mouth end 11 through the channel 8 in the direction of the outlet opening 7 and out of it.
  • a vacuum is created inside the housing.
  • the flexible wall 10 returning to its basic position pulls the piston 2 in the direction of the arrow x over the filling material column.
  • the tube 9 forms a corresponding resistance in cross-section and length in coordination with the viscosity of the paste-like mass and the flow velocity that occurs occurring vacuum bridges. Also, only as much pasty mass is always dispensed as is also required when spreading. The slight intake of the stopper-forming mass on the mouth side at the end of the treatment avoids any overhang, so that the stopper 20 does not have to displace any material that swells out. Rather, it finds a paste-free zone corresponding approximately to its insertion depth.
