Definitions
- the invention relates to a corrugated cardboard gluing machine with a heating device which has a plurality of heating plates which are spaced apart in the feed direction and cover the maximum width of the corrugated cardboard web, which can be connected to a heat source via a control device and against whose upwardly facing heating surface the corrugated cardboard is guided under load through a load belt and / or compressed air.
- Such a corrugated pasting machine is known from FR-A-1 502 060.
- the heating plates extend over at least the maximum width of a corrugated cardboard web.
- steam is used for heating.
- the supply of steam can be adjusted using suitable fittings to achieve certain temperatures on the heating surface.
- the energy supply is among other things made dependent on the web speed. Naturally, the heat supply must be increased when the web speed is increased. Conversely, the heat supply must be reduced at a lower speed and, if possible, stopped immediately if the train comes to a standstill. Otherwise there is a risk of damage to the corrugated cardboard due to excessive temperatures.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of improving a heating device for a corrugated cardboard gluing machine in such a way that it enables uniform drying over the width of the corrugated cardboard web.
- Conventional corrugated cardboard gluing machines generally have a plurality of heating sections, each of which has a plurality of elongated heating plates which are arranged transversely to the feed direction.
- the same or similar heating plates can be used in the device according to the invention, but in an orientation rotated by 90 °.
- four or five such plates can be arranged parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction.
- the outer plates can be at a higher temperature than the middle ones.
- a further embodiment of the invention consists in the fact that a heating plate is assigned to a heating plate in the running direction in front of the heating device.
- the moisture sensors measure the moisture content of the web strips supplied to the respective heating plates, so that the heat supply to the respective heating plates can be adjusted in a corresponding manner.
- Such moisture sensors are known per se and work without contact, for example on an infrared or microwave basis. With the aid of such moisture sensors, according to a further embodiment, it is possible to couple them to the control device for the purpose of automatically controlling the temperature of the individual heating plates.
- further moisture sensors assigned to the heating plates are arranged in the running direction behind the heating device and are connected to a controller by comparing the measured moisture values with a setpoint value in each case in order to adjust the heat supply to the heating plates by means of the control device also regulate the degree of dehumidification automatically. This not only ensures uniform drying, but also the degree of drying can be determined.
- a speed sensor measures the web speed of the corrugated cardboard and gives a signal to the control device for the purpose of controlling the heat supply to the heating plates as a function of the web speed.
- a speed sensor measures the web speed of the corrugated cardboard and gives a signal to the control device for the purpose of controlling the heat supply to the heating plates as a function of the web speed.
- the heat supply to the heating plates can also be controlled in the individual sections arranged one behind the other.
- this is on known.
- the front heating plates are heated more than the rear ones, in order to prevent impairment due to excessive heat input when the material is already largely dry.
- the invention also includes constructions which provide for a subdivision of the heating surface transverse to the feed direction.
- a continuous heating plate in the transverse direction would also be conceivable, which is subdivided into individual chambers which are largely thermally insulated from one another.
- a fan is located in the printing device, or the printing device is connected to a compressed air source via one or more hoses.
- the air pressure in each sub-hood can now be set separately, so that a different loading of the corrugated cardboard web can be set over the width of the heating device. Since, as already mentioned, the load also influences the heat transfer, the dehumidification over the width of the corrugated cardboard web can be controlled with the aid of the measure according to the invention in addition to the divided heating plates.
- the gluing machines have several sections in a row, which according to the invention are each provided with a plurality of heating plates arranged transversely.
- an embodiment of the invention provides that the compressed air hoods each cover a heating plate section and are selected in number and arrangement such that they extend over the dividing line between heating plates adjacent in the transverse direction. In this way, the more or less sharp transition between the adjacent heating plates in the transverse direction can be compensated for at different temperatures.
- the device shown in FIG. 1 is divided into three sections A, B, C.
- Each section contains elongated rectangular heating plates 10, namely five plates 10 arranged side by side in parallel. They lie on a frame construction 11 which is not shown or described in further detail.
- the number and dimensions of the heating plates 10 are such that the total width of the total heating surface formed by the individual heating plates is wider than the largest web width.
- the direction of advance is shown by arrow 12.
- Each heating plate 10 is provided with two connections 13, 14 for the supply or removal of heating medium, for example steam. As will be explained later, the supply of the heating medium to each individual heating plate 10 can be controlled separately.
- a moisture sensor 15 is assigned to each row of heating plates 10, for example A1, B1 and C1.
- the moisture sensors 15 are of a known type and can be non-contact microwave sensors.
- Moisture sensors 16 can also be assigned to the individual rows of heating plates behind the heating device.
- a control device which may also include a controller, is designated 17.
- Corresponding control or setting commands go to control valves 18.
- Each heating plate 10 is assigned a control valve 18.
- a speed sensor 19 outputs a speed signal to the control device 17.
- the control valves 18 control the heat supply accordingly.
- the edge plates A1 and A5 can have a temperature of 180 ° C on the heating surface, while the remaining A2 to A4 have a temperature of, for example, 100 ° C. Since most of the moisture is broken down in the first section A, the next sections B and C are operated as usual at low temperatures. With the help of the moisture sensor 16, regulation can also be carried out in such a way that the degree of moisture or the degree of dryness becomes adjustable.
- the speed sensor 19 ensures speed-dependent heating of the heating plates 10.
- FIG. 3 three sections of the gluing machine (not explained in detail) are provided with heating plates 30, similar to the heating plates A1 to A5, B1 to B5 or C1 to C5 according to FIG. 1.
- the individual sections are hoods D1 to D3, E1 to Assigned to E3 and F1 to F3. Their length corresponds to the length of the heating plates 30. However, they have a larger width. Since the width of the pressure hoods is greater than that of the heating plates, the longitudinal dividing lines between the individual heating plates 30 are always covered by a pressure hood.
- the pressure hoods D1 to D3, E1 to E3 or F1 to F3 are each supplied with their own fan or from a common compressed air source, but the connection from the compressed air source to the individual hoods can be controlled in such a way that the pressure within the hoods can be changed is. 3, the last hood G seen in the conveying direction extends over the entire width of the gluing machine.
- the compressed air supply within the hoods described can also be controlled with the aid of the moisture sensors 15, 16 according to FIG. 2.
- their signals therefore control further control valves for the compressed air supply to the hoods or the fan drives within the hoods.

Description
Stellbefehle an Regelventile 18.
