  • the above described pouring adapter insert has been tested for dispensing a liquid having a viscosity ranging from 50 to 100 CPS.
  • the result to be reached was to have 37 cc delivered with 2 sec. without spurting or glugging and without the need for a measuring device. This was absolutely impossible without insert since the flow was dependent upon the user as no controlling means were provided.
  • the type of flow control device as described in the above U.S. patents 3,693,847 or 3,980,211 after having adapted the dimensions to the viscosity of the liquid to be dispensed, it was found that, in order to dispense the desired quantity, more than 2 sec. were required and some glugging still occurred when it was tried to dispense the liquid more rapidly. Testing the inserts witha transparent bottle neck clearly indicated that it was the way in which the incoming air was meeting the egressing liquid, that was creating the glugging.

Claims (3)

1. Kombination eines Ausgießereinsatzes (1) und einer Flasche mit einem vertikalen Flaschenhals (2), wobei der genannte Einsatz eine kreisförmige, in einen vollen oberen, vertikalen Abschnitt (3) und einen unteren, konischen Abschnitt (4) geteilte Wand, eine Bodenfläche (6) und Stützmittel (7) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der genannte untere, konische Abschnitt (4) mit vertikalen Schlitzen (5) versehen ist, wobei das obere Drittel des genannten unteren, konischen Abschnittes (4) längsseits des unteren Teils des vertikalen Flaschenhalses (2) angeordnet ist.
2. Kombination eines Ausgießereinsatzes und einer Flasche mit einem vertikalen Flanschenhals nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der durch das obere Drittel des unteren, konischen Abschnittes (4) und den unteren Teil des vertikalen Flaschenhalses (2) gebildete Winkel 5° beträgt.
3. Kombination eines Ausgießereinsatzes und einer Flasche mit einem vertikalen Flaschenhals nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in dem unteren, konischen Abschnitt (4) der kreisförmigen Wand wenigstens fünf vertikale Schlitze (5) vorgesehen sind.
