Description
The invention relates to a locking buffer for an automatic firearm according to the preamble of claim 1.
In a known sealing buffer of this type (see CH-C-352'257 and 582'342), a gas-filled container is used as the elastic element. This container can be made from either rubber or metal bellows. However, this known closure buffer has several shortcomings, which are mentioned below.
In another known device of this type (see DE-C-710'302) the elastic element consists of a steel spring. However, the device serves as a liquid brake for the weapon barrel of a firearm and not as a locking buffer for a firearm.
A machine gun with a movable barrel is also known (see DE-C-695,584), which has ring springs for braking the forward and return of a barrel.
The object which is to be achieved with the present invention is to provide a closure buffer which does not have the shortcomings of the known closure buffer, which therefore has a longer service life, is easier to use, in which a compressed air source is no longer required and the existing one Fluid pressure and the amount of fluid present are easily recognizable. The longer lifespan is achieved in particular by avoiding hard impacts from damping elements.
- 1. The gas-filled container has the disadvantage that a corresponding gas bottle is necessary for refilling the container and that it is not possible to tell whether there is still sufficient pressure in the container.
- 2. The rebound energy of the buffer piston cannot be sufficiently damped in this known locking buffer, so that the wear of the entire locking buffer is relatively large.
- 3. The leakage losses of the hydraulic fluid are relatively large in the known locking buffer, this has the disadvantage that it must always be checked whether sufficient hydraulic fluid is still available.
The present invention aims to provide a closure buffer which no longer has the three disadvantages mentioned above. In particular, the remaining liquid pressure and the remaining liquid quantity should be displayed. Furthermore, damping and sealing of the parts movably arranged in the closing buffer, in particular the buffer piston, are to be improved.
In addition to the features in the preamble of the claim, the closure buffer according to the invention also has the features in the characterizing part of the claim.
- 1. Thanks to the use of a plate spring assembly as an elastic means instead of a gas container, the locking buffer is largely insensitive to temperature fluctuations.
- 2. Thanks to the rebound buffer, the wear of individual parts of the locking buffer is significantly lower.
- An embodiment of the locking buffer according to the invention is described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing. It shows :
- 1 shows a longitudinal section through the closure buffer
- 2 shows a cross section through the same buffer along line 11-11 in Fig. 1st
- The described
closure buffer 10 is located at the rear end of the path of a closure in a firearm, which is not shown in the drawing. After a shot has been fired, the breech moves rearward and impacts thebuffer piston 15 of thebreech buffer 10. The impact of the breech on thebuffer piston 15 shifts and compresses the liquid contained in thefirst chamber 12, e.g. B. silicone oil. With this compression of the liquid contained inchamber 12, thecheck valve 35 prevents liquid from getting into thesecond chamber 13 from thefirst chamber 12. As soon as the breech moves forward again and no longer presses on thebuffer piston 15, the liquid in thefirst chamber 12 can relax again, the buffer piston also moving forward and bumping against therebound buffer 17. The movement between thebuffer piston 15 is damped by the friction between the three spring washers. In thesecond chamber 13 there is also liquid in front of thepiston 27, which is under pressure due to the prestressedplate spring assembly 30. The preload of theplate spring assembly 30 can be screwed in with the aid of the screw. Adjust the pot-shapedlid 29. This preload has reached the desired value when the end of thepiston rod 28 is flush with the bottom of thecover 29, as shown in FIG. 1. From the position of thecover 29 in thebuffer housing 11 it can be seen whether there is sufficient liquid in the two 12 and 13. If the twochambers 12 and 13 contain enough liquid, the bottom of thechambers cover 29 is flush with the rear end face of thebuffer housing 11, as shown in FIG. 1. Thus, the describedclosure buffer 10 contains two display devices which indicate how great the pressure in the 12 and 13 is and how much liquid is in these twochambers 12 and 13.chambers
