Definitions
- the invention relates to a multi-pole electrical connector according to the preamble of the main claim.
- Such plugs are connected and held together in a conventional manner by means of screws as a fastening element.
- one housing part carries the screw, while the other housing part captively has a corresponding nut or threaded bush.
- Such fasteners lead to a not inconsiderable assembly effort when assembling such plugs, but also when changing them or when changing the cable. Even the cost of these parts of the fastener is taken into account, but considerable quantities.
- Another disadvantage is that the screw and / or nut can sometimes fall out and then be lost, especially during assembly or disassembly. This increases the Her - position and cost. If this happens later to the user, the connector can even no longer be used if there is no spare part.
- the multipole electrical connector according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that the two housing parts can be plugged together quickly and easily and can be permanently connected to each other by the snap connection of the snap connector.
- the elements of the snap connector can be molded in the preferred production as plastic injection parts. So they are captively solid parts of both housing parts, so they can not be lost.
- the co-molding reduces the cost of fasteners of this type during manufacture, which in terms of costs is significant in the case of large quantities to be taken into account.
- the snap connector provides a reproducible clamping force between the two parts of the housing that are plugged together. This eliminates such harmful cases in which the tightening of a screw as a fastening element may damage one or the other housing part.
- the snap connector is permanently secured against tearing out and automatic unlocking in that the snap head has locking surfaces on the rear, which engage behind the recess in a locking manner.
- the pull-out strength that exists shows everything when pulling the plug out of a socket, is significantly increased by the features in claim 9.
- the securing section of the screw completely fills the passage in the finger, in the area of its snap head, so that even strong forces, which could possibly result in an automatic radial deflection in the area of the snap head and thus unlocking, are absorbed .
- the snap connector is thus able to withstand extremely high pull-out forces.
- the features of claim 11 also contribute to increasing the resistance to tearing; because here the pulling forces acting on the outer housing part when pulling the plug out of a socket are guided over the housing wall to the externally accessible head of the screw and are taken up by the latter and at the other end are guided by the snap ring axially fixed to the screw onto the end face of the inner housing part.
- the snap connector is either not loaded at all or only to a small extent with the forces acting when the plug is pulled out. The forces transmitted during insertion from the outer housing part to the inner are transmitted anyway through fitting and support surfaces on the housing, so that the snap connector is relieved.
- the multipole electrical connector 10 shown has four poles and is adapted to the sockets 12 of a plug distributor 13 with regard to the arrangement and design of the contact pins 11.
- Each socket 12 contains four contact sockets 14, which are grouped essentially concentrically around the center.
- a threaded socket 15 is located in the center.
- the plug 10 has an inner housing part 20 made of plastic, which carries an outer molded portion 21 corresponding to the contour of the socket 12 and the four projecting contact pins 11 and the associated electrical connections 22 for connecting the cables 23.
- the connections 22 are separated from one another by walls 28 formed on the housing part 20, so that there is reliable insulation even against skipping on the air gap.
- Two walls 28 each form an angle, e.g. one in Fig. 1 upper and lower, in which the respective connection 22 is stored.
- the inner housing part 20 fits into an outer housing part 30 made of plastic, which for this purpose contains an inner cavity 31 which is open towards the housing part 20.
- the cavity 3 1 is closed on the side facing away from the inner, inserted housing part 20 by means of an integrally formed housing wall 32, which has a passage opening 33 for contains the plug cable 34.
- the usual strain relief with two screws 35 and a cross bracket 36 sits on the side of the housing wall 32.
- Both housing parts 20 and 30 are held together in the plug-in direction by at least one fastening element, which consists of an automatically engaging snap connector 16.
- This has a protruding finger 37 on the housing part 30, which is integrally formed there on the housing wall 32 and from there leads out through the cavity 31 and out of the housing part 30 and protrudes toward the housing part 20.
- the finger 37 is shaped like an internally hollow sleeve. This inner, continuous passage is designated 38.
- the finger 37 carries a molded, somewhat thicker snap head 39, which consists of an approximately ring-shaped head part with a larger diameter.
- Such snap heads are known per se in plastic snap connections.
- the finger 37 has, over a partial length, including the snap head 39, four longitudinal slots 40 which are arranged at equal circumferential angular intervals and which divide radially deflectable spring tongues 41.
- the finger 37 with the snap head 39 is assigned a recess 24 in the form of a through hole which allows the finger 37 to pass through and is axially locked behind by the snap head 39 in the region of a radially inwardly projecting annular shoulder 25.
- the recess 24 in the form of the through bore with the annular shoulder 25 is arranged essentially in the center of the contact pins 11 arranged approximately concentrically thereto.
- the finger 37 is coaxial.
- the recess 24, viewed in the direction of plugging together, has a section 26 upstream of the annular shoulder 25, which is designed as a guide section for the finger 37 with a snap head 39 when plugged together.
- the passage 38 of the finger 37 is penetrated by a screw 17, the head of which strikes the outside of the housing wall 32 from the outside and which projects with an end section 18, which carries a thread 19, in the same direction as the contact pins 11.
- the screw 17 can be additionally axially secured at the left end of the inner housing part 20 in FIG. 2 by means of a snap ring, not shown.
- the thread 19 of the section 18 fits into the threaded bushing 15 of the sockets 12.
- the outside diameter of the section 18 with thread 19 is kept approximately the same size as the inside diameter of the passage 38 in the finger 37.
- the section 18 with thread 19 is designed as a special securing section , which, when the screw 17 is in the desired position, which is shown in FIGS.
- the two housing parts 20 and 30 cannot yet be plugged together in the finished state according to FIG. 1.
- the screw 17 in FIG. 1 must first be shifted to the right until the section 18 with the thread 19 out of the axial area of the spring tongues 41 in the manner described.
- the finger 37 with the snap head 39 engages in the guide section 26 of the housing part 20.
- the front bevel of the snap head 39 which then runs onto the annular shoulder 25, causes with the annular shoulder 25 a spring-elastic compression of the spring tongues 41 in the area of the snap head 39 so that the snap head 39 pass through the narrower passage of the annular shoulder 25 and behind it automatically resiliently can jump up.
- Both housing parts 20, 30 are then locked axially in this axial position.
- the screw 17 can then be pushed all the way to the left, into the position shown in FIG. 2.
- the section 18 with thread 19 holds the spring tongues 41 in the region of the snap head 39 in the disengaged position. A radial deflection is not possible in this position of the screw 17.
- This is axially secured by the two locking projections 42 and 43.
- a snap ring can also serve as a further safeguard.
- the plug 10 can now be inserted into a socket 12. Due to the precise shape of the shape of the shaped section 21, only a relative rotational position with respect to the socket 12 is possible here.
- the insertion position is secured by tightening the screw 17, which engages with its thread 19 in the threaded bush 15.
- the screw 17 is first unscrewed in opposite directions, which leads to the contact pins 11 being pressed out of the contact sockets 14 because of the axial displacement lock. This makes it easier to pull out the plug.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 3 eine Draufsicht des Steckers,
- Fig. 4 eine Unteransicht des Steckers,
