Claims (17)

1. 4. Etau selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que la came et/ou l'organe d'entraînement (13) sont réalisés de telle manière qu'il se produise un blocage automatique.

Etau selon la revendication 3 ou 4, caractérisé en ce que la came se compose de deux curseurs (47) disposés de part et d'autre du levier (41) et roulant sur des galets (53) dans le support (1), curseurs qui présentent une rainure de came (57) qui est inclinée selon un angle aigu par rapport à la direction de mouvement et dans laquelle s'engagent des galets (59) montés sur le levier.
6. Etau selon l'une quelconque des revendications 3 à 5, caractérisé en ce qu'il est prévu deux organes d'arrêt (63, 64) qui sont manoeuvrables au choix pour limter la course de la came.
7. Etau selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 6, caractérisé en ce que l'articulation qui relie le levier (41) à la premère mâchoire (5) est une articulation sphérique (43).
8. Etau selon la revendication 7, caractérisé en ce qu'il est prévu des moyens (71) pour limiter ou interdire une rotation de la première mâchoire (5) sur la surface de glissement (3) du support (1).
9. Etau selon l'une.quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, caractérisé en ce que le support présente une cavité (24) qui est remplie d'huile.
10. Etau selon la revendication 9, caractérisé en ce qu'il est prévu, dans la surface de glissement (3) du support (1) et/ou dans la surface d'appui de la première mâchoire (5), au moins une rainure (65) dans laquelle se trouve une garniture d'étanchéité (66).
11. Etau selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 10, caractérisé en ce que l'organe d'entraînement (13) est un vérin pneumatique.
12. Etau selon la revendication 11, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte .au moins un tiroir de distribution (81) qui présente deux positions et qui règle l'alimentation du vérin pneumatique (13) de telle manière que les mâchoires soient déplacées dans le sens de leur écartement dans l'une des positions du tiroir et qu'elles soient déplacées l'une vers l'autre dans l'autre position.
13. Etau selon la revendication 12, caractérisé en ce que le tiroir de distribution (81) présente une troisième position dans laquelle le vérin pneumatique (13) peut être actionné par une valve à quatre voies.
14. Etau selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 13, caractérisé en ce que les mâchoires (5, 6) sont munies, aussi bien du côté frontal que du côté superieur, de forures d'enfichage disposées suivant des dimensions modulaires, présentant un diamètre cylindrique calibré et un filetage sous-jacent, de telle manière qu'aussi bien du côté frontal que sur le dessus, des mâchoires rapportées (19, 21) de dimensions modulaires prédéterminées ou des mâchoires spéciales adaptées à la pièce à usiner puissent être fixées au moyen de boulons calibrés (17) ou de douilles creuses ajustées et de vis de serrage introduites à travers ces douilles.

Etau selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 14, caractérisé en ce que le support (1) est muni, sur la face inférieure, de forures calibrées (87) disposées suivant des dimensions modulaires, avec lesquelles l'étau peut être enfiché et vissé sur une plaque de montage, une équerre de montage ou simlaires.

Etau selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 15, caractérisé en ce que la seconde mâchoire (6) peut être serrée contre la surface de glissement (3) du support (1) et fixée sur le support (1) par des contreclavettes descendantes (35) qui peuvent etre actionnees par des cames de serrage (11).
17. Etau selon la revendication 3 ou 4, caractérisé en ce que la came se compose de deux curseurs qui sont disposés de part et d'autre du levier (41) et roulent sur des galets (53) ou des surfaces de glissement, curseurs qui présentent une rainure de came (57) qui est inclinee suivant un angle aigu par rapport à la direction de mouvement et dans laquelle s'engagent des coulisseaux montés sur le levier.
