Description

The invention relates to a socket or plug connector made of plastic for tapping current from current-carrying lines by means of plug pins.

Plug connection elements, in particular for electronic devices, are known from DE-A No. 2260783 and US-A No. 4013331, in which only one plug block is fixed in the connection element by the retaining lug.

In known sockets or power strips, for example, the earthing bracket and the phases are screwed or pressed into the base element made of insulating material. Designs are also known in which the metallic phases and the grounding bracket are placed in a plastic injection mold and partially encapsulated with the insulating material.

Common to all of these designs are the disadvantages of the elaborate assembly or the exact insertion of the metal parts into the injection mold.

This is where the invention comes in, which has set itself the task of avoiding the disadvantages of the known prior art and, in particular, of ensuring simple attachment of the metallic phases or grounding bracket within the socket or power strip. According to the invention, it is proposed that the phases or the earthing brackets are overlapped in sections by retaining lugs of resiliently designed retaining webs, which retaining webs are formed in one piece with the plastic material of the base unit.

The determination of the phases or the earthing bracket according to the invention can take place both in the cover of the socket or power strip and in the base part.

It has proven to be advantageous here that the holding webs are designed in cross-section such that they spring back by the length of the holding lugs when the phases or the earthing clip are pressed in and return to their holding rest position after the pressing-in process has ended. It also appears to be expedient that the holding webs in the working position are pressed slightly outward from the rest position while the plug pins are pressed in between the phases while maintaining the holding property. In this case, it appears advantageous that the holding webs have a ratio of locking length to locking path between 10: 1, preferably between 7: 1.

The holding webs are expediently arranged here under pre-tension against the engagement openings for the plug pins.

The advantage of the determination of phases and earthing clips in sockets or plug strips according to the invention is seen in the fact that the phases or earthing clips can be fixed in the interior of the sockets or plug strips by a simple latching process. So there is no need for the elaborate assembly or insertion work of the known state of the art.

The object of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing. It was deliberately avoided to play a socket or power strip. Rather, only the non-essential parts of the invention are shown schematically.

Es zeigen:

  • Fig. 1 eine Halterung der Erdungsschiene,
  • Fig. 2 eine Halterung einer Phase, und
  • Fig. 3 eine gehalterte Phase mit eingeschobenem Steckerstift.
Show it:
  • 1 is a holder of the grounding rail,
  • Fig. 2 is a holder of a phase, and
  • Fig. 3 shows a held phase with the plug pin inserted.

In Fig. 1, the base unit 6 is shown, of which the holding webs 3 protrude. The retaining webs 3 have at their free ends retaining lugs 4, which overlap the U-shaped grounding bracket at the edges of the free U-legs. The retaining lugs 4 each have insertion slopes 41 facing each other, on which the U-shaped earthing slide slides along when pressed in. The retaining webs 3 spring back by the width of the retaining lugs 4 during this pressing-in process. At the end of the pressing-in process, the retaining lugs 4 snap over the free edges of the U-shaped earthing clip and fix this to the base unit 6.

In Fig. 2, the holder of a phase 2 is shown, the support of phase 2 is not shown in the drawing. The phase 2 is overlapped on its right edge by the holding nose 4 of the holding web 3, the holding web 3 being connected directly to the base unit 6. Phase 2 is shown in section through the gated engagement area for the plug pin, not shown. The engagement opening 61 for the plug pin is formed directly below the opening in phase 2. Here too, the retaining lug 4 has the sliding bevel 41, on which the phase 2 slides along during insertion until it latches in accordance with the shape described for FIG. 1.

Fig. 3 zeigt die gehalterte Phase 2 mit eingeschobenem Steckerstift 5.3 shows the held phase 2 with the plug pin 5 inserted.

It is clear here that the engagement opening of phase 2 for the plug pin 5 is enlarged by pressing in the plug pins 5, i. H. phase 2 is pressed outwards when plug pin 5 is inserted.

In this case, phase 2 also displaces holding web 3 with holding lug 4, but only so far that holding lug 4 continues to overlap the upper edge of phase 2 and holds it in its resting position. After the connector pin has been pulled out of the engagement opening of phase 2, the latter springs back into its original opening size, whereby the holding web 3 with the holding lug 4 again assumes the position in FIG. 2.

Aus Festigkeitsgründen soll jede dieser Eingriffsöffnungen mit wenigstens einem Haltesteg 3 versehen sein.2 and 3, the latching of phase 2 is shown only on one side, the retaining web 3 connected to the base unit 6 with the retaining nose 4 being located on the right side of phase 2. It is within the scope of the invention to also arrange the retaining web 3 in the retaining lug 4 on the other side of the base unit 6, and thus the phase 2 to be halved on both sides tern, as shown in Fig. 1 for holding the grounding bracket 1. However, it is important that at least one holding web 3 with the holding lug 4 is arranged on and above each engagement opening of phase 2. In this way, connector strips of any length can be equipped, with a plurality of engagement openings arranged one behind the other or next to one another in phase 2 for the connector pins 5. For reasons of strength, each of these engagement openings should be provided with at least one retaining web 3.
