Description

Stand der Technik -State of the art -

The invention relates to a container lid according to the preamble of the main claim. A cover of this type, which has become known, for example, from EP = A 000 4834, consists of a relatively thick carrier layer formed by injection molding from a thermoplastic material, with the inside of which a relatively thin aluminum / plastic laminate plate is connected as a barrier layer. For easy opening of the cover, a weakening line surrounding a tear-open part is arranged in the carrier layer, which partially completely penetrates the plastic layer and which is formed during injection molding. Such a container lid is expensive due to the way it is manufactured. First, the backing layer is made as an outer part in a mold injection molded, which is very slow and expensive. An aluminum / plastic laminate plate is then sealed to the carrier layer. To do this, the carrier layer and the laminate plate must be fed and positioned individually. Furthermore, the known lid has the disadvantage that when the laminate plate is applied, folds form on the angled sealing flange of the lid, which folds can prevent the tightness of the containers sealed with such a lid.

Also known from DE-AS 20 23 923 is a container lid with a tear-off part surrounded by score lines, which is formed from a metal / plastic laminate. This lid has a relatively thick carrier and barrier layer made of a metal plate, with the inside of which a relatively thin plastic layer is glued as a corrosion and protective layer. The notch lines surrounding the tear-open part are stamped into the thick metal plate on this cover. The well-known lid is probably stiff and tight, but it is very expensive due to its high metal content.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide an easy-to-open container lid that is stiff, strong and tight and that can be easily formed from a laminate strip.

Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

The container lid according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that it is formed from a commercially available plastic / metal laminate strip in large numbers without creasing by deep drawing. And its weakening line can be produced in a simple manner. Depending on the configuration of the cover, the lines of weakness can be pressed quickly and precisely into the plastic carrier layer using a heated notching tool before or after molding.

The measures listed in the subclaims permit advantageous developments of the container lid specified in the main claim. The arrangement of beads on both sides of the line of weakness is particularly advantageous. Such a thickening of the material provides good guidance when tearing the tear-open part and prevents the tear line from running. It is also possible to have a grip tab on the outer carrier layer, which is made of a heat-sealable plastic exists or is coated with such, without high effort directly attached by heat sealing.

The container lid according to the invention can be produced in large numbers and in a simple manner by a method with the characterizing features of claim 5.

Beschreibung der AusführungsbeispieleDescription of the embodiments

A packaging container with a body 10 made of a multilayer packaging material is closed at its upper opening with a lid 11 which has an easy-to-use opening device for removing the contents. The fuselage 10 and lid 11 have a plan in the form of a square with rounded corners. The cover 11 has a U-shaped edge fold 12 which engages around the opening edge of the fuselage 10 and is sealed or welded to it. It is formed by deep drawing or deep drawing.

A multilayer composite material is used for the production of the cover 11, which has an outer layer 14 made of plastic, a middle layer 15 made of metal, preferably aluminum and an inner layer 16 made of a heat-sealable plastic. The individual layers can be connected to one another by means of a lamination adhesive. The outer layer 14, which gives the lid its stiffness and strength as a carrier layer, is about 100 to 400 microns, preferably 200 microns thick and consists of a thermoplastic such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyester (PETP), polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC) or the like. The middle layer 15, which contributes to a high tightness of the cover, consists of an aluminum or steel foil with a thickness of 2 0 to 40 / um. The inner layer 16, which is used for heat sealing or welding to the body 10 and acts as an insulating layer has a thickness of about 50 / um and consists of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), polyester (PETP) or from a heat seal lacquer.

The opening device in the cover 11 has a removable tear-open part 20 which is surrounded by a weakening line 21. The tear-open part 20 can have various shapes, for example a circular area (FIG. 1) for inserting a drinking straw, teardrop shape (FIG. 2), or a full tear-open area adapted to the lid level (FIGS. 4 and 5).

The weakening line 21 is only arranged in the outer carrier layer 14 and penetrates its thickness in the form of a notch 22 completely or almost completely. The notch 22 is hot-stamped into the carrier layer 14 by means of a heated notching tool, plastic being melted and displaced under the action of pressure and heat. In this case, beads 23, 24 protruding on both sides of the notch 22 of the weakening line 21 over the plane of the top of the carrier layer 14 (FIGS. 2 and 6). The thickening of the carrier layer 14 next to the notch 22 produced by the beads 23, 24 contributes to the fact that when the Tear-off part 20 the break runs along the weakening line 21 and does not run out of it.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, two circular tear-open parts 20 are arranged, one of which is provided for forming a pouring opening and the other for forming a ventilation opening. The diameter of the circular weakening line 21 is greater than that of a drinking straw, so that a drinking straw can be placed on the tear-open part 20 and the tear-open part 20 can be broken out of the lid mirror by applying pressure, the middle metal layer 15 and the inner plastic layer 16 being only a controllable one To offer resistance. To stiffen the tear-open part 20, this can, as the embodiment according to FIG. 6 shows, bulge outwards.

To tear off the tear-open part 20, a heat-sealable grip tab 25 made of a plastic plate is welded to the plastic layer 14 by means of a welding field 26 at its narrow end.

In the case of the cover 11 according to FIG. 4, the line of weakness 21 runs parallel to the fold edge 12 in order to completely remove the cover mirror and additionally forms a drop-like start section 27, to which a grip tab 29 is connected by a welding spot 28.

Beim weiteren Ziehen an dem Doppelhebel 30 wird dann der gesamte Aufreißteil 20 aus dem Deckel 11 ausgetrennt.5 has a rigid double lever 30 with a breaking edge 31 in register with part of the weakening line 21 in the starting area as a grip tab. The double lever 30 is connected to the outer plastic layer 14 by means of a welding line 32, which is the axis for the double lever 30 forms. When the free, longer arm 33, which is opposite the shorter arm 34 with the breaking edge 31, is pulled up, the weakening line 21 is torn inward in the region of the breaking edge 31. When the double lever 30 is pulled further, the entire tear-open part 20 is then separated from the cover 11.

Previous some embodiments for the design direction of the breaking, which is surrounded by the weakened line heißgekerbten / explained. However, other design forms are also possible within the scope of the invention, including those in which the line of weakness is not self-contained, so that the tear-open part remains connected to the remaining part of the cover for environmental reasons. Furthermore, a composite material with three layers is specified for the production of a cover according to the invention. However, the use of composite materials with others is also within the scope of the invention Construction possible, in which, however, the carrier layer consists of a thermoplastic material and the melting temperature of the adjacent layer is higher than that of the carrier layer.

The lines of weakness can be hot stamped into the strip material used to make the lids prior to forming the lids, or into lids already formed.
