Description

The invention relates to a built-in arrangement for an electric hotplate with a supporting ring surrounding it, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Built-in plates made of glass or ceramic have already become known, which are stiffer and less sensitive and have an easy-to-clean surface. The heat shock sensitivity of these plates makes it necessary to take special measures to protect the built-in plates against the heat of the hot plates.

From FR-A-2 457 052 is the installation of a hotplate in a wooden or the like. existing worktop become known, with an annular ceramic plate interposed as a mounting plate. A flat support ring rests on this, and it has a rib on the underside on which a lower end cover is supported. This ring plate replaces the usual built-in plate of the cooker. It would be less suitable for use as an intermediate ring between a hotplate and a glass ceramic plate because of its own sensitivity to breakage and difficult to manufacture.

From US-A-3 838 249 it has become known to install an electric hotplate in the opening of a built-in plate made of glass or ceramic, an intermediate ring having a high and steep outer section being interposed between the support ring and the built-in plate. However, this takes over no supporting, but only shielding functions and therefore does not mechanically bridge the distance between the hotplate body and the glass ceramic plate, which almost reaches the hotplate body. The result is a very high installation which is unfavorable for the use and the break resistance of the mounting plate.

From DE-A-2 126 614 an installation arrangement has become known in which a very high intermediate ring is used, which is made of solid material or double-walled in such a way that its flat underside, which is set back somewhat from the outer edge, can accommodate a seal that opens onto the mounting plate rests. This intermediate ring has a complicated structure and requires a very precise adjustment of the seal compared to the contact pressure, so that the installation is tight on the one hand and on the other hand the outer edge lies against the mounting plate, so as not to produce an annoying gap. The shielding of the built-in plate against the heat of the electric hotplate is to be achieved by mounting the hotplate completely above the built-in plate, which is, however, optically and functionally disruptive because pulling the cooking vessels from the built-in plate onto the electric hotplate is not possible. In addition, the material of the mounting plate extends close to the hotplate circumference, because the seal located centrally under the intermediate ring requires this.

From DE-U-7 914 082 a flat and wide support ring has already become known which is supported on the ceramic mounting plate with a seal in the outer region. Although this ring makes it possible to keep the edge area of the mounting plate at a lower temperature level, it requires a special design with regard to the support ring of the electric hotplate and, because of its wide, flat shape, must be made of relatively strong material in order not to yield resiliently under greater load. In addition, due to the relatively large temperature gradient between its inner and outer circumference, different discoloration of this ring due to tarnish colors is to be feared, which is visually disturbing.

The object of the invention is to provide a built-in arrangement which enables a relatively flat installation of conventional, not to be specially adapted electric hot plates in temperature-sensitive built-in plates, in particular made of glass or ceramic, also with sheet metal intermediate rings.

Diese Aufgabe wird durch den Anspruch 1 gelöst.This object is solved by claim 1.

By using such an intermediate ring, conventional hotplates with a relatively narrow support ring (also known as the "overflow rim") can be used. Since it lies on the mounting plate with the outside edge and, if necessary, its seal is located there, the opening in the mounting plate can be significant The opening edge of the built-in plate is therefore at a considerable distance from the outer circumference of the electric hotplate and can therefore be kept at a lower temperature level. The choice of a flat intermediate ring enables a relatively flat hotplate installation with all the resulting aesthetic properties The problem of tarnishing colors is solved by the enamelling. Since the intermediate ring is made of a different material than the supporting ring, there is anyway an optical separation, the intermediate ring optically either as a separate part or possibly also as an installation plan proper section is felt. Since the intermediate ring is made of a thicker sheet material than the supporting ring, there is a comparable stiffness for both rings, because the supporting ring is narrower on the one hand and profiled more strongly on the other hand, while the intermediate ring is wider and flatter. The surface coating in the form of an enamel not only ensures that a material with a high level of strength and thermal properties can be used, the cost of which is orders of magnitude less than that of a stainless steel ring, but also an optically and thermally favorable transition to the glass plate is achieved. The surface of the enamelled ring adapts ideally to the mostly dark-colored glass surface of the mounting plate, and the ring is extremely easy to clean.

The enamelling is also a surface insulation. Without special earthing measures, earthing of this ring could not be absolutely guaranteed.

The relatively wide ring covers a gap between the hotplate and the built-in plate and it would be possible for a cable loosening on the underside of the hob to protrude into this gap and to put tension on the intermediate ring from the inside. Complete electrical safety is also established for this unlikely case.

Advantageously, an insert ring can be provided in the installation arrangement, which is completely covered by the intermediate ring and has an essentially annular shielding section covering the opening edge of the opening and means for positioning a seal in such a position that the effective between the mounting plate and the intermediate ring Sealing area is close to the outer circumference of the intermediate ring. This separate insert ring shields the parts of the mounting plate facing the hotplate, namely the inner opening edge and its upper edge. At the same time, he positions the seal so that it interacts with the outer edge of the intermediate ring. There, the seal is least thermally stressed and makes it possible to make the opening as large as possible.

The insert ring has a generally L-shaped cross section with an outwardly projecting upper flange.

The seal can be a sealing ring enclosing the installation opening with a substantially U-shaped cross section, on the upper leg of which the sealing area is provided and which preferably has inwardly directed ribs centering the insert ring. This sealing ring forms an additional mechanical and thermal shielding of the sensitive opening edge and is also thermally shielded and centered by the insert ring and secured against jumping off the opening edge. The centering ribs form the smallest possible contact area between the insert ring and the seal and an insulating air space between them. The means for positioning the seal can thus be formed by the outer circumference of the cylindrical part of the insert ring or also by the end region of the flange around which a sealing lip can wrap. The width of the intermediate ring can preferably be two to four times greater than its height between the support of the outer edge of the support ring on it and its support on the mounting plate.

The intermediate ring has an inner edge which is covered by the supporting ring and is directed inwards at an incline upwards and which, in cooperation with the supporting ring, forms a centering edge. On this inner edge, which extends quite high into the supporting ring, the hotplate is centered on the one hand on the intermediate ring or, if the hotplate is itself centered by its fastening, the intermediate ring in its position relative to the mounting plate. The intermediate ring has a flat S-shaped cross section with three sloping sections sloping outwards, in which there is a very flat middle section between the inner edge and a likewise steep outer edge. The inner edge and outer edge can preferably be steeper than 45 ° (preferably 60 °), while the central region has a slope between 3 and 10 °. The intermediate ring can be a simply lying sheet metal ring with a flat cross-section. So it does not need to be double-walled or made of solid material, which not only brings manufacturing advantages, but also improves the function. If the insert ring advantageously has means for centering the hotplate on its inside, it serves a triple purpose, namely the exact positioning of the seal and the intermediate ring to the outside, the thermal shielding of the edge of the glass plate and at the same time the exact positioning or centering of the electric hotplate inside. The invention makes it possible for hotplates of different outside diameters to be used in mounting plates with a certain hole size. For this purpose it is provided according to the invention that insert rings with differently long, inwardly directed tab parts for adapting hot plates of different diameters are provided for a specific hole diameter in the mounting plate. Furthermore, the insert ring can be provided for the indirect centering of the hotplate in a substructure for the mounting plate, in that centering projections of the substructure are supported on the insert ring.

  • Fig. 1 und 3 zwei Teilquerschnitte durch die Einbauanordnung, d.h. den Verbindungsbereich zwischen Kochplattenkörper und Einbauplatte;
  • Fig. 2 und 4 verkleinerte Teilansichten in Richtung der Pfeile II und IV;

Further advantages and features of preferred embodiments are evident from the description and the drawings. Two exemplary embodiments are shown in the drawing and are explained in more detail below. Show it:
  • 1 and 3 show two partial cross sections through the installation arrangement, ie the connection area between the hotplate body and the installation plate;
  • Figures 2 and 4 reduced partial views in the direction of arrows II and IV;
  • Fig. 5 is a plan view of a cooking device.
  • 1 and 2 shows an electric hotplate 11, the hotplate body of which is made of cast material, which has an upper flat, closed cooking surface and is electrically heated by heating resistors (not shown) inserted in grooves on its underside.

The hotplate has on its upper outer circumference a projecting flange 12 against which a support ring 13 made of sheet metal is supported from below, which has an inverted and irregular U-shaped cross-section, the outer leg of which extends obliquely at an outside angle of approximately 45 ° . The outer edge 21 of the support ring lies on an intermediate ring 15 which has a flat S-shaped cross section. At its middle section 43, which slopes outwards at a very flat angle, there are steeper inner and outer edges 39, 41 on the inside and outside, which have an incline of more than 45 ° (preferably 60 °). The out Senrand 21 of the quite wide support ring 13 lies in the area of the kink between the inner edge 39 and the central portion 43 on the latter. Between this support position and the outer edge of the outer edge, the intermediate ring 15 has a height h which is approximately half to a quarter of the width b measured between the same points. The inner edge 39 rises up in the support ring and forms a centering edge.

While the support ring 13 normally consists of relatively thin stainless steel in the order of magnitude of 0.4 mm thickness, the intermediate ring consists of thicker sheet metal of approximately 0.8 mm thickness, which has a surface coating 25, for example enamelling, on its outside.

This makes the intermediate ring stand out in color from the support ring and is easier to clean than a ring made of stainless steel. The inside diameter of the opening 16 is considerably larger than the outside diameter of the hotplate including the support ring 13.

An ihrer Innenseite hat die aus wärmebeständigem Kunststoff hergestellte Dichtung vorstehende, ringförmig umlaufende Rippen 30.The outer edge 41 of the intermediate ring 15 lies on a mounting plate 19, which consists of a plate made of relatively heat-resistant glass or ceramic. The flat mounting plate carries the cut-out openings 16 for several hotplates and is itself built into an opening of a worktop of a kitchen furniture or a cooker. The opening edge 23 of the mounting plate 19 is encompassed by a seal 26 which has a U-shaped cross section with legs 37 facing outwards and covering the upper and lower edge regions. On its inside, the seal made of heat-resistant plastic has protruding, annular ribs 30.

An insert ring 31 has an essentially L-shaped shape with a cylindrical shielding section 32 and an outer flange 33 which is slightly beveled downwards in accordance with the shape of the sealing ring. The flange 33 ends somewhat in front of the end of the leg 37 of the seal, so that the outer end of the leg of the seal 37 abuts against the inside of the outer edge 41 of the intermediate ring and seals it.

The insert ring 31 shields the seal against direct heat radiation both from the hotplate and also from the inner regions of the support ring and the intermediate ring, so that the seal only comes into contact with its outer region with the connection to the hotplate formed by the support ring and intermediate ring. Air gaps form between the ribs 30 and the shielding section 32, which provide additional insulation. Under the mounting plate 19 there is a trough-shaped or plate-shaped substructure 49, on which the mounting plate rests with the interposition of a sealing flange 51 which engages under the opening edge 23. The substructure also has an opening in the area of the installation opening 16, but is underlaid there by a trough-shaped or bow-shaped part 48, on which the plate can be braced via a central bolt. As a result, the clamping force does not apply any bending stress to the mounting plate 19. On the substructure 49, several, for example six, centering projections 53 are provided on the inner circumference of its opening, which have the shape of inwardly directed tabs, which can be somewhat bent and preferably have a blunt, inwardly directed tip (FIG. 2), which the Heat conduction minimized. They cooperate with the hotplate edge 14 to center it directly on the substructure. The shielding section 32 extends down to the substructure 49 and shields the seal 26 and mounting plate 19 against radiation.

Kanten von Flansch 12, Tragring 13, Zwischenring 15 und Einbauplatte 19 liegen auf einer flach ansteigenden Kurve, deren maximale Steigung unter 50° liegt.3 and 4 show an arrangement which corresponds to FIGS. 1 and 2 except for the differences described below. The same or comparable parts have the same reference numerals and are not explained again. The intermediate ring 15 is made at substantially the same height h with an even greater width b, but its remaining shape corresponds to that already described. With the same basic shape, the seal 26 has a different shape and dimension of the ribs 30, which press against the insert ring 31 in the manner of a sealing lip. The upper leg 37 of the seal 26 has an outer sealing lip 45 which is tipped back inward in a C-shape and which lies around the outer edge of the flange 33 of the insert ring 31 and thus forms a large-area contact between the outer edge 41 of the intermediate ring and the seal, which forms extends into the bend to the middle section 43. Here the seal is not completely shielded against the electric hotplate; however, this is justifiable due to the larger width of the intermediate ring. In this embodiment, the difference between the diameter of the opening 16 and the outer diameter of the electric hotplate is even greater than in the embodiment according to FIG. And is more than twice the width of the support ring visible from the outside. In all versions, however, the intermediate ring is advantageously considerably wider than the supporting ring, especially when one considers the areas of the supporting ring and / or intermediate ring that are visible from the outside. The outer surfaces or edges of flange 12, support ring 13, intermediate ring 15 and mounting plate 19 lie on a gently rising curve, the maximum slope of which is below 50 °.

Sie reicht bis kurz vor den Kochplattenrand 14.The shielding section 32a extends below the lower edge of the seal 26 and the level of the substructure 49, the centering projections 53a of which interact with the insert ring 31a. On the inside of the circumference, a plurality of sheet-metal parts L-shaped in cross section L-shaped are welded, one leg abutting the shielding section 32a of the insert ring 31a, while the other leg projecting inwardly forms a tab 47 with a rounded or pointed end. It extends to just before the hotplate edge 14.

The electric hotplate 11 is thus exactly centered with respect to the insert ring and thus indirectly with respect to the mounting plate 19 and, via the centering projections 53a, also the substructure 49.

Furthermore, it is shown that at least one of the centering projections is designed as a step-shaped projection 53b, the middle part 55 of which engages in a recess 56 of the shielding section 32a and secures the insert ring against rotation, while the recessed side parts 57 cooperate with the outer surface of the shielding section for centering.

The embodiment shown in FIG. 5 shows a plan view of a cooker with conventional hot plates 11 which are arranged at a distance from one another and which are installed in a hot plate 60 made, for example, of sheet metal. An elongated rectangular area of the hotplate 60 is recessed in the shape of a trough and in this area, essentially flush with the surface of the hotplate, a built-in plate 19a made of tempered glass is installed. It has two circular openings, the edge 23 of which is indicated by dashed lines, which are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the mounting plate and overlap somewhat in the middle so that they are connected to one another. In these openings, two hotplates 11 of conventional design are installed, the support rings 13 of which are supported on a double ring 15a, which in its cross-sectional shape and the other properties can correspond to the rings 15 of FIGS. 1 and 2, but consists of two rings, which in the Middle are coherent. The double ring 15a, like the opening, has an 8 or glasses-like shape. It can be formed from two rings of different sizes, in which two hot plates of different sizes are then inserted. It is also possible to design the connection area differently, for example by rounding out the resulting inward recesses 61 or the like.

Instead of the bracket 48 in the previous embodiments, a continuous support bracket 48a is provided, which extends from one narrow side of the mounting plate 19a to the other and has supports 62 in the lateral central region (near the indentations 61). The support bracket thus also ensures that the mounting plate 19a is protected against heavy loads or bending.

Here, the two hot plates 11 are arranged very close to one another, whereas previously a minimum distance of 5 cm was customary. Both hot plates each have a single, but possibly structurally combined switch and can be switched on and off individually. They can therefore be used both as single hot plates and as coherent hot plates. For this, however, it is necessary that their upper cooking surfaces are exactly aligned with each other, which was not possible with the usual sheet metal constructions due to stress and heat-related shapes. The glass mounting plate 19a, however, ensures that this flatness is maintained, especially when the bracket 48 is used. The double intermediate ring 15a likewise provides the stiffening and enables the hotplates to be aligned well with one another and also ensures that thermal expansions, which can have considerable values across the dimensions of both hotplates, are compensated for.

The mounting plate 19a can either be used in stovetops or independently in worktops. A stove with four normal hot plates and a double cooking unit according to FIG. 5 is particularly preferred.
