Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a binding for cross-country skiing intended to receive, by interlocking from the top to the bottom, the anterior end of a shoe and to keep it integral with the ski, while allowing the lifting movements of the heel.
In the bottom bindings of this type there is provided a locking lever biased by an elastic member, which prevents the removal of the toe of the shoe after its installation in the binding.
To remove his binding, that is to say to leave his ski, the skier swings the locking lever against the elastic member, generally using the tip of his ski pole so as to release the shoe; then he raises the tip of the foot to extract the shoe from the binding. However, this last operation is often long and inconvenient because the ski tends to lift with the foot so that it is generally necessary to shake the foot and the ski several times to achieve heaving. In addition, it frequently happens that the contact zones between boot and binding freeze during skiing, which has the effect of strongly bonding the boot to the binding, making the heaving operation even more tedious.
The invention proposes to remedy this drawback.
To this end, the locking lever of the binding object of the present invention is provided with an extractor appendage arranged to exert under the toe of the shoe a thrust directed from bottom to top when the lever pivots, against the elastic member, towards its shoe release position.
The extraction of the shoe is thus carried out in a positive manner and the heaving is particularly easy and rapid.

- FIG. 1A is a top view of the toe of the shoe,
- FIG. 2, similar to FIG. 1, shows a loosening of the binding using the stick,
- FIG. 3 is a front view of the second embodiment cut by the verticallongitudinal plane of symmetry of the ski, the boot being in place in the binding,
- FIG. 3A is a top view of the front part of the shoe,
- Figure 4, similar to Figure 3, shows a release of the attachment using the stick.
La pointe du ski, non représentée sur les figures, se trouve vers la gauche de celles-ci.The tip of the ski, not shown in the figures, is to the left of these.
The binding and the cross-country ski boot of the first embodiment of FIGS. 1, 1A and 2 are of the same type as those which are the subject of French patent application No. 82.03673 of the applicant.
This binding comprises a
According to the invention, the
During skiing, the heel lifting, the front part of the sole, the
To remove the binding, the skier swings the
Note that it would be possible to remove the
The binding of the second embodiment, shown in Figures 3 and 4, comprises a
The
The binding also includes a
The front part of the sole 33 of the shoe C has a front bearing
To take off the binding, the skier causes the
It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the two exemplary embodiments which have just been described and that various variants are possible.
Thus the extractor appendage carried by the locking lever does not necessarily form an integral part of this lever but could be attached thereto, for example by riveting.
These could act against the lateral edges of the front part of the sole or, in the case of the second embodiment, act against the ends of the
Finally, it would be possible to provide under the front part of the sole suitable notches or bosses improving the grip of the extractor appendage with this part during the heaving.
