Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a control and remote display device for pneumatically operated fuel dispensing devices, in particular small dispensing devices.
Control and remote display devices for fuel devices have so far been used in self-service petrol stations only for fixed petrol pumps. The signals are transmitted electrically. The legal regulations for explosion protection and calibration technology (regulation for flammable liquids and calibration regulations) must be taken into account.
Such control and remote display devices have hitherto not been known for small dispensing devices, as are usually used for refueling with a two-stroke mixture. Such small dispensers are operated either manually or by inserting a coin. These types of actuation do not offer reliable protection against fuel theft. In addition, the use of coins for comparatively small amounts of fuel requires a higher level of operating effort than is required for the fuel delivery in the conventional self-service petrol pumps.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a control and remote display device of the type mentioned at the outset which, in particular, can be used without problems for small tap dispensers.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that a pneumatic control line, which can be acted upon in different directions, is arranged between the fuel dispenser and the control device with remote display, which when actuated with control air releases the drive of the control device to the fuel dispenser in one direction, and which releases the drive when acted upon in the another direction of the number of control pulses for the drive corresponding pulses to the remote display.
According to a further feature of the invention, the fuel delivery device has a piston measuring pump and a control pulse is transmitted to the remote display device per delivery stroke.
The control and remote display device according to the invention prevents misuse. In order to be able to tap, first of all - just like in the case of conventional fixed-location facilities - the station attendant has to release the device from the petrol station cash register.
The provision of a pneumatic control line between the cash register and the fuel dispenser means that small dispensers can be used for the first time in the same way without any problems with provisions on explosion protection, as was previously only possible with fixed self-service dispensers. The mobility of such small tap devices is practically not affected. It is also possible without difficulty to retrofit existing pneumatically operated fuel dispensing devices to remote control and remote display. Compressed air connections are available at every petrol station.
In a preferred embodiment, the control and remote display device can be actuated pneumatically.
According to a further proposal of the invention, the control device and the remote display device can also be electrically actuated, a pneumatic-electrical signal converter being arranged in the control line. In such an embodiment, the signal converter will expediently be arranged within the cash register for reasons of explosion protection.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of the arrangement of a completely pneumatic control and remote display device,
- FIG. 2 shows an embodiment with electrical and pneumatic actuation,
- Figure 3 is a schematic drawing of the pneumatic circuit.
The
The compressed air passes through the
The user can now actuate the dispensing valve 9 and thereby switch the
The
After the dispensing process is completed, the

In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, a
