Definitions
- the present invention relates to an anti-tank mine consisting of a pyrotechnic ignition and fire transmission chain, a useful pyrotechnic charge and an arming device, contained in an envelope body provided at its upper part d '' a pressure plate ensuring the triggering of the mine.
- the pyrotechnic charge for ignition and fire transmission consists of a striker, a primer, an ignition relay and an ignition block.
- the so-called cocking position the continuity of the pyrotechnic chain is ensured by the alignment of all these elements.
- the so-called stored position the alignment is broken and continuity is no longer ensured.
- This arrangement may lack security, in particular in the case where the passage from the stored position to the so-called arming position is carried out directly by operation of a simple external control.
- the present invention proposes an anti-tank mine where the passage from the storage position to the arming position is done by an intermediate phase called pre-arming where a timer device triggered by the operation of an external control will carry out the alignment of chain after a given time, without external intervention.
- the mine also has the particularity of being reversible, that is to say of allowing, by simple maneuver in the opposite direction to the external control, the return of the mine to its initial storage position.
- the ignition relay is mounted on a mobile disk rotating around a first axis, said axis being carried by a equipment itself mobile in rotation about a second axis substantially perpendicular to the first axis of the mobile disc, and said relay being capable of ensuring the alignment of the pyrotechnic chain by a double rotation of the disc along the first axis and of the crew along the second axis, the prior rotation of the crew ensuring the alignment of the plane of the disc with the upstream part and the downstream part of the pyrotechnic chain, and the subsequent rotation of the disc ensuring the alignment of the ignition relay with these same elements of the chain.
- the movable disc cooperates with a drive finger movable in translation, pressing on a spring tending to push the finger so as to cause the rotation of the disc, said finger being immobilized by a locking cam itself even actuated by a timepiece device activated by the operation of an arming button secured to the moving assembly.
- FIG. 1 we can see all the elements of the anti-tank mine in the storage position.
- This consists of an envelope body 1 provided at its upper part with a pressure plate 2 intended to cause ignition by ignition of a pyrotechnic chain consisting of a striker 3, a primer 4, an ignition relay 6 and an ignition block 7 allowing the ignition of the useful pyrotechnic charge 8 enclosed by the mine.
- the relay 6 is in the chain-breaking position, preventing the initiation of the mine.
- This relay is carried by a mobile disc 9 (seen in profile in Figures 1 and 2) pivoting about its axis 10, this axis itself being carried by a crew 11 cooperating with the arming device 12, and mobile around of an axis 13, the two axes 10 and 13 being perpendicular or substantially perpendicular, so that the axis 13 is approximately in the plane of the disc 9.
- This. equipment has, in a section perpendicular to its axis of rotation, as can be seen more particularly in Figure 2, a shape allowing it to play the role of a cam, the operation of which will be described later.
- Figure 3 shows the disc 9 seen in plan and the detail of the arming device 12.
- the moving element 11 has pivoted by about 45 ° in the direction of the arrow 14 around the axis 13; at the same time as the crew 11, the disc 9 which it supports and the arming device 12 have pivoted.
- the latter consists of a finger 15 movable in translation and capable, in its movement, of causing the disc 9 to rotate around the axis 10, for example by means of a notch 16 driving a lug 17 integral of the disc 9.
- This maneuvering finger is pushed back by a spring 18 tending to cause the disc 9 to rotate about the axis 10.
- a locking cam 19, actuated by a time delay device not shown, may, depending on its position, immobilize the finger 15 or release it to allow the spring 18 to relax.
- a cocking button 20 enables the cocking of the mine by an external action. This button is movable in rotation along the axis 13, thus ensuring the rotation of the crew 11, and in translation parallel to the axis 13.
- the firing device consists of the pressure plate 2 capable of controlled depression which will be described below, of a connecting piece 21 secured to the plate, of a primer holder 25, sliding in the connecting piece 21, of the striker 3 sliding in the primer holder 25 and maintained in the latter by means of two keys 23 and 23 ', of a spring 24 positioned between the underside of the plate 2 and the striker 3.
- the plate is held in the high position by an elastic lip crown 32.
- the rotation causes the crew 11 to pivot in the direction of the arrow 14, and consequently the alignment of the plane of the disc 9 with the downstream part and the upstream part of the pyrotechnic chain.
- Relay 6 is not yet aligned, however, making ignition impossible.
- the cam-shaped section of the crew 11, visible in FIGS. 2 or 4 allows, by rotation, to raise the primer support 25 and the striker 3, thus achieving the compression of the spring 24 and the tensioning of the striker.
- a snap locks the button in the armed position.
- One of the characteristics of the invention resides in the reversibility of the arming, by reverse operation of the button 20.
- the rotation in the opposite direction of the arrow 26 causes the chain to break by pivoting of the crew 11, the repositioning base of the primer support 25 and therefore the relaxation of the spring 24, as well as the recoil of the finger 15, for example by means of a stud fixed to the finger actuated by a ramp formed in the body of the mine (not visible on the figures).
- the retraction of the finger causes the reverse rotation of the disc 9 and therefore the return to the original position.
- an anti-blast device is associated with the pressure ignition system.
- the pressure plate 2 has at its lower part a cavity 31 forming a pressure chamber, and filled with a fluid.
- a seal 37 encircling the plate provides sealing.
- the pressure chamber communicates with the outside by means of at least one calibrated orifice 33 closed by a valve 34 retained by a spring 35.
- the plate is secured to the connecting piece 21 mentioned above.
- FIG. 7 refers to an alternative embodiment, operating according to the same method, in which the flow of the fluid takes place directly towards the outside through a single orifice.
- the seal on the inside diameter is obtained by a lip seal 36.
- An alternative embodiment of the invention may consist in using air as the filling fluid for the pressure chamber 31.
- the valve When pressure is exerted on the plate 2, the valve is pushed back, allowing the fluid to flow outward through the calibrated orifice.
- This device allows a progressive depression of the plate and avoids the triggering of the mine by a simple percussion or by the breath of a nearby explosion.
- the plate At the end of the race, the plate has lowered the connecting piece 21 relative to the primer support 25, until the keys 23 and 23 ′ reach the level of the groove 22, thus releasing the striker 3 which, by the rebound of the spring 24, strikes the primer 4.
- the fire is transmitted by the relay 6 to the ignition block 7.
- all of the parts constituting the mine are made of non-metallic material, so that the mine is undetectable by devices detecting metallic objects.
- the mine is provided with reliefs and bosses allowing an automated installation by mechanical machines.

Abstract
