Abstract

1. Book, consisting essentially of an inner book and a book cover, wherein the book cover consists of a cover blank which has two inner cover parts, two outer cover parts and a spine part, and the inner cover parts are glued to the outer cover parts, characterised in that at least one spine strap (1) is arranged on the inside over the spine part (7) without being joined to the latter, and is integrally secured to parts of the cover blank (4) and to the spine of the inner book (19).

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Buch, bestehend im wesentlichen aus einem Buchblock und einer Buchdecke, wobei die Buchdecke aus einem Deckenzuschnitt besteht, der zwei Innendeckelteile, zwei Außendeckelteile und ein Rückenteil aufweist und die Innendeckelteile auf die Außendeckelteile geklebt sind.The invention relates to a book, consisting essentially of a book block and a book cover, the book cover consisting of a blank, which has two inner cover parts, two outer cover parts and a back part and the inner cover parts are glued to the outer cover parts.

Aus der DE-AS 1 299 594 ist ein Buch der eingangs genannten Art bekannt, das im wesentlichen aus einer relativ weichen Buchdecke und einem Buchblock besteht, wobei die Buchdecke als einstückiger Deckenzuschnitt ausgebildet ist und zwei Innendeckelteile, zwei Außendeckelteile und ein Rückenteil aufweist. Die Innendeckelteile sind vom jeweiligen Außendeckelteil ebenso wie das Rückenteil jeweils vom Außendeckelteil durch Nutungen abgeteilt. Das Einhängen des Buchblocks in die bekannte Buchdecke erfolgt dadurch, daß die Vorsatzblätter oder entsprechende Teile des Buchblocks ausschließlich an den Flächen der Innendeckelteile und dort vornehmlich an nahe der Rückenteil-Nutungen gelegenen Randbereichen der Innendeckelteile befestigt werden. Diese Befestigungsart besitzt den Nachteil, daß die Vorsatzblätter o. dgl. bei Gebrauch des Buches sehr leicht einreißen, so daß sich der Verbund Buchdecke-Buchblock löst. Aus der DE-OS 31 09 114 ist ein Buch bekannt, bei dem im Bereich des Rückens der Buchdecke ein Streifen, vorzugsweise ein Fälzelstreifen, angeordnet ist, der lediglich mit seinem das Rückenteil der Buchdecke übergreifenden Randbereich auf der Innenfläche des jeweiligen Außendeckelteils und/oder Innendecke!teils neben einer Nutung, die das Rückenteil von den Seitenteilen der Buchdecke abteilt, aufgeklebt ist. Bei der Herstellung der vorgeschlagenen Buchdecke wird jeweils das Innendeckelteil auf die Innenfläche des Außendeckelteils geklebt, nach dem vorher Versteifungsstege auf die Innenflächen der Außendeckelteile und gegebenenfalls auf die Innenfläche des Rückenteils gegeklebt worden sind. Hierbei kann vorgesehen sein, daß die freie Innendeckelkante zumindest einen Teil des Befestigungsrandes des Fälzelstreifens überlappt. Diese vorgeschlagene Ausführungsform der aus einem einstückigem Zuschnitt hergestellten Buchdecke ermöglicht, den Buchblock über Vorsatzbogen mit dem Rücken an den Fälzelstreifen und bereichsweise auch auf die Innendeckelteile zu kleben. Da der Fälzelstreifen mit dem Rückenteil der Buchdecke nicht verbunden ist, öffnet sich das klebegebundene Buch wie ein normales Buch mit harter Decke. Die neue Buchdecke kann aus einer Verbundstoffbahn hergestellt sein, die schichtweise aufgebaut ist und aus Überzugsstoff, Klebstoffschicht und vorzugsweise flexibler Pappe, Kunststoff o. dgl. besteht, wobei die Pappe ganzflächig durchgehend lückenlos mit dem Überzugsstoff verklebt ist. Aus der Verbundstoffbahn, die auch aus einem einlagigen Werkstoff bestehen kann, wird dann ein Deckenzuschnitt 4 (Fig. 1) ausgeschnitten oder ausgestanzt. Der Deckenzuschnitt 4 ist im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel einstückig ausgebildet und weist zwei Innendeckelteile 5, zwei Außendenckelteile 6 und ein Rückenteil 7 auf. Jedes Innendeckelteil 5 ist vom Außendeckelteil 6 durch die Nutung 8 abgeteilt. Anstelle der Nutung 8 kann nach einem nicht dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel auch eine Durchtrennung der Pappe oder eine Perforation o. dgl. gewählt werden. Die Abteilung des Rückenteils 7 jeweils vom Außendeckelteil 6 erfolgt nach dem in Fig. 1 dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel durch eine Nutung 9. Auch in diesem Fall kann nach einem nicht dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel eine Durchtrennung oder Perforation o. dgl. vorgesehen sein. Nach einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung gemäß Fig. 3 und 4 wird ein frei über dem Rückenteil 7 angeordneter Rückensteg 1 dadurch erzielt, daß an die Nutungen 10a oder 11 eine Lasche 23 angebunden ist, die sich wahlweise über die gesamte Breite des Zuschnittes erstrecken kann (nicht dargestellt). In Fig. 3 und 4 sind die in Fig. 1 und 2 eingezeichneten Teile 6 ; 9 ; 16a, b, c sowie andere Teile nicht abgebildet, um die Übersichtlichkeit nicht zu stören. Wesentlich ist, daß der Rückensteg 1 dadurch gebildet wird, daß ein eingeschnittener Schlitz 24 oder Auschnitt parallel zur Kante 10a bzw. 11 in die Lasche 23 eingebracht ist. Die Länge des Schlitzes 24 entspricht der Breite des Rückenteils 7 oder der Breite des Rückenteils 7 plus jeweils der Breite der Buchfalzbereiche 16b bzw. 16c. Wenn die Lasche 23 auf die Teile 6 und 7 geklebt wird, wird der Rückensteg 1 dabei ausgespart. Hingegen wird der Buchblockrücken mit dem Rückensteg 1 verklebt.
