Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for holding together the core and the sleeve of ground glass, which consist of two rings (1 + 2) arranged concentrically one above the other.
- Such devices are known to consist of loop-like steel wire clips, which disadvantageously can scratch the glass, bend easily, are difficult to open and remove and are expensive.
- the present invention is based on the object of providing a device of the type described which does not have the disadvantages shown in the prior art.
- the particular advantageous properties of the device according to the invention also consist in particular in that the joint clamps according to the invention can be pushed very easily over the joints to be connected and can be removed again; Damage to the glass does not occur with the preferred use of plastic; it is not possible to bend the joint clamps according to the invention. At the same time, they have good chemical resistance and no corrosion.
- Another western advantage is that, due to the construction according to the invention, they can easily be produced in one piece and, as is known per se, in one step.
- the ring (1) has an opening (3) which is provided for the insertion of the core. This opening is preferably achieved by recessing about 1/3 of the circumference.
- Cams 6 and grooves 7 are formed on the inside of the ring, the contact area of the ring on the heated glass surface being kept as small as possible, which in turn means that heating of the plastic and thus possible softening of the thermoplastic material is small.
- Through the grooves (7) can the heat emitted by the heated glass and the hot air rising from the bottom to the top escape, resulting in air circulation that prevents heat build-up on the rings in the joint clamp area.
- the thinner wall thickness of the ring increases the flexibility, which enables the clips to be put on and taken off easily.
- Any plastic that has a sufficiently high temperature resistance, preferably at least 150 ° C., and a high modulus of elasticity can be used as the material.
- Suitable materials are polyoxymethylenes (POM), polyamides (PA), polycarbonates (PC), polyesters (PBTP, PETP), polyphenylene oxides (PPO), polysulfones and polyetherimides.
- Polyoxymethylene for example the product that is sold by Dupont under the name "Delrin" with a melting point of 175 ° C., is particularly preferred because this product has an extraordinarily good combination of temperature stability and inherent elasticity.
- Arc-shaped lugs 5 are formed on the ring 1 and connect the lower ring 2 to the ring above it.
- Three arches 5 are preferably formed and distributed uniformly over the ring in an angular range of approximately 120 °.
- FIG. 2 shows how the upper, smaller ring 1 is connected to the lower, larger ring 2 via the arches 5.
- FIG. 3 in the top view of the lower ring 2 with the opening 4, the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1 are used.
- the upper, smaller ring encircles the neck of the core, wherein the lower larger ring surrounds the sleeve, and by the elastic tension of the V e radosbögen (5) of the fixed shutter is brought about.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 2 zeigt eine Seitenansicht der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung
