Abstract

1. Open-air drying and airing device for articles of clothing, with a vertical mast (1), to which is attached a spreading frame (2) with several arms extending radially relative to the mast and intended for receiving a washing line (5), the washing line forming several horizontally stretched funicular polygons in the spread position of the spreading frame (2), characterized in that at least one arm (3) of the spreading frame (2) receives a tensioning element (8) which exerts its action towards the mast and to which washing-line portions (10) running through this tensioning element (8) and becoming shorter towards the mast are fastened in such a way that, when the arms (3, 4) are at least partially swung to (Figure 3), the washing line (5) or the washing-line portions (10) lies or lie tautly in the form of straight portions on or in the arms (3, 12, 13) and the tensioning element (8) then only exerts a slight residual tensioning force, whereas in the spread position (Figure 2) the tensioning element (8) achieves a maximum tensioning force.

Description

The invention relates to an outdoor drying and ventilation device for garments according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such devices are used when larger amounts of laundry are to be dried in a relatively narrow space. They can be collapsed in some form so that they can be accommodated in a small space after use. Such devices are known in manifold forms. As an example, only the Swiss patent 390 863 and DE-OS 1435019 may be mentioned. A disadvantage of these devices is in particular the tangled hanging of the laundry rope or ropes in the folded state of the laundry hanging device. The laundry ropes, which reach a length of up to 70 m, are easily soiled because they sometimes hang down to the ground; in addition, the risk of confusion is very high.

The object of the invention is to provide a laundry hanging device which, in the stored state, ensures an orderly accommodation of the laundry rope or ropes and can be brought into the working position without any risk of the rope becoming confused.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

This reliably prevents the laundry lines from hanging down, as is particularly clearly shown in FIG. 3 of CH-PS 390 863. There is no longer any tangling of the lines. Soiling from lines grazing on the floor is excluded.

Further advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the subclaims.

These configurations bring about a further improvement in handling; folding the individual elements is simplified.

An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings.

A multi-arm expansion frame 2 is attached to a mast 1. This spreading frame 2 consists of intersecting arms 3 and 4. Between the arms 3 and 4 is a clothes line 5, thereby forming the corner 6, stretched. A clamping element 8 is fastened in the arms 3 in the center 7. Holding elements 9 are provided on these tensioning elements 8 and accommodate the continuous washing line sections 10. The washing line sections 10 run over deflection guides 11 in the arms 3 to the holding elements 9 in the respective tensioning elements 8. The arms 3 and 4 are divided into arm pieces 12, 13 and 14, 15 and in the area 16 of the joint 17 ₁ in which the center 7 is for the clamping elements 8, hinged to the mast 1 via arm joints 18.

If the arms 4, starting from the position according to FIG. 2, are folded towards the arms 3 in the direction of the arrow 19, the tensioning elements 8, the force of which goes to the center 7, pull in the clothesline sections 10. Whether the arms 3 and 4 are out individual arm pieces ₁ 2 to 15 exist or are made in one piece continuously, does not matter. The folded state is shown in FIG. 3 and clearly shows the principle of accommodating the washing line sections 10 in the arm 3 or the arm pieces 12 and 13.

Claims (4)

Outdoor drying and ventilation device for garments with an upright mast, on which a multi-arm spreader frame for receiving a clothes line is attached, the clothes line in the spread position of the spreader frame forms horizontally tensioned rope corners, characterized in that at least one arm (3) of the Spreading frame (2) receives a tensioning element (8) to which the continuous clothesline sections (10) are fastened such that the clothesline (5) or the clothesline sections (10) in the folded state (FIG. 3) of the arms (3, 4) lies or lie tight on or in the arms (3) or (12, 13) and the tensioning element (8) only exerts a small residual tensioning force, while in the spread position (FIG. 2) the tensioning element (8) reaches maximum tensioning force. 2. Outdoor drying and ventilation device according to claim 1, characterized in that the expansion frame (2) consists of two arms crossing over a joint, one arm having two clamping elements (8), each acting from the tip to the joint (17), records. 3 ..
