Definitions

  • the invention relates to a piece of furniture defined in the preamble of claim 1.
  • furniture of this type DE-U-68 06 393
  • the wing parts of the hinges are on the one hand displaceable and removable on the frame parts in the direction of the hinge axis, on the other hand rotatable by means of wood screws, but otherwise immovably fastened in the door leaves. Because of this arrangement, once the hinges have been installed, there is no longer any possibility of changing the position of the door leaf relative to the furniture, unless the wood screws would be screwed in more or less deeply after removing the door leaf again. If you make use of such an adjustment option, the hinge, which is not very tight anyway, is further impaired on the door leaf.
  • the known hinges cannot be used at all in the case of door leaves made of glass or the like.
  • the use of such hinges in the assembly of doors on furniture, which are composed of support arms attached to the wall individually and independently of one another and loosely inserted into the walls and panels (DE-U-68 06 393, DE-A-29 05 031) , requires a very high degree of precision when mounting the support arms, because even the smallest misalignment and position errors of the support arms result in the side walls and cover or base plates not forming an exact rectangle or square. After installing the doors, this is particularly noticeable through uneven door gaps.
  • the vertical gaps between the door and the side walls of the furniture, which are mostly in the direct field of vision, and the vertical gaps between two door leaves are particularly critical. However, any height offset between two door leaves, which is clearly visible, is also critical, while uneven gaps at the upper and lower door ends are not as noticeable because they are usually not arranged in the direct field of vision.
  • known hinges due to their shortcomings described above, no longer allow a complete compensation of such irregularities after the door wings have been installed and are therefore not very practical for the craftsman and in particular for the handyman. There is therefore a need for door bearings with which inaccuracies in the mounting of the support arms can still be easily compensated for even after the door wings have been inserted.
  • known hinges or constructions of the type of the substructures as are known for the adjustable mounting of room doors on frames, could also be provided, for example, also known, usually used on clothes, kitchen or sanitary cupboards.
  • the invention has for its object to develop a piece of furniture of the type mentioned in such a way that stable storage and easy adjustment of the door leaf in the assembled state and yet inexpensive manufacture is possible.
  • a fitting intended to open and close the door leaf should be provided, which can be easily adapted to the position of the door leaf required in individual cases.
  • the design of the bearing body according to the invention is advantageous in terms of production technology and price, especially if it consists of a tubular facing, because the facing can be made thin-walled and with the same wall thickness.
  • the bearing body can have the same cross-section as the support arms without significant additional effort, which is desirable for formal reasons.
  • a significant advantage results from the fact that the hinge-side edge of the door leaf is covered by the bearing body. This makes it possible for this edge of the door leaf to be skewed without being visible from the outside, and thereby to even out the gap which is always visible on the side of the door leaf opposite the hinge side.
  • a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized by the features of subclaims 2 and 3.
  • This has the further advantage that those support arms to which the door leaf is attached are connected to one another via the door leaf itself and thereby stabilized. Additional bearing rods or the like for stabilizing or adjusting the spacing of the supporting frame formed from the supporting arms are therefore not required even if individually arranged, not supported supporting arms are provided.
  • the door weight is also always distributed to all support arms provided for mounting the door wing, even if they have not been assembled with the utmost precision .
  • the mounting advantage that the door leaf is still brought into the desired position and then in this position even after it has been permanently installed in the hinges and after it has been permanently installed in the support arms can be fixed.
  • the wing parts can be inexpensively manufactured from plastic, so that the door mounting, despite its advantageous functions, can be manufactured inexpensively overall.
  • the clamping bushes enable the hinges to be preassembled and the tubular coverings to be subsequently fitted in the color desired in the individual case, the coverings being able to be designed in such a way that they cover the fastening elements required for fastening the door leaf to the clamping bushings.
  • the same hinges and bearing tubes or facings can also be provided on the opposite side of the door, so that there is an elegant appearance.
  • the door leaf can be attached to both sides of the door by rotating it by 180 °.
  • Fig. 1 to 4 show a mirror cabinet with a door wing 1.
  • the mirror cabinet contains at its four corners each a support arm 2, which is attached to the wall in any way, for example, according to DE-A-29 05 031 and on has a mirror holder 3 at its wall end.
  • the mirror holders 3 have slots extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the support arms 2, into which slots a mirror 4 is inserted, which is arranged close to the wall and parallel to it after the mounting of the support arms 2 and forms the rear wall of the mirror cabinet.
  • the support arms 2 have parallel to their longitudinal axis and by 90 ° offset longitudinal grooves 5 (Fig. 4), in the side walls 6, a bottom plate 7 and a cover plate 8 are used, which consist for example of a tinted but transparent material. Elongated filler pieces 9 are inserted into the respectively unused longitudinal grooves 5.
  • the support arms 2 of the right or left side of the cabinet carry hinges 10, on which the door leaf 1 is fastened in such a way that it can be pivoted forwards and outwards or opened.
  • a handle 11 attached to the door leaf 1 serves as a handle, which at the same time has a locking function and serves to hold the door leaf in the closed state by force-locking.
  • the door leaf 1 has, moreover, at least on its front side, but expediently also on its rear side, or consists of mirror glasses glued together.
  • the hinges 10 fastened to the support arms 2 are covered by means of vertically extending facings 12, for example in the form of tubes, and cover caps 13, so that a shapely appearance results.
  • storage elements 14 are fastened in at least one level, preferably in several levels, which expediently consist of storage trays to prevent the utensils stored in them from falling when the door leaf 1 is opened and closed.
  • holding members 15 are glued to the inside of the door leaf 1, onto which support elements 16 located on the rear of the storage elements 14 are pushed, which allow the storage elements 14 to be easily removed for cleaning or the like.
  • each support arm 2 is designed as a plastic rod with a circular cross section. Its longitudinal grooves 5 extend in depth to the vicinity of a square hole, by means of which the support arm 2 is pushed onto a support or stud bolt 17, the section 18 arranged in the support arm 2 has a square profile, the section 19 protruding from the support arm 2 is provided with a thread and a tip for screwing into a wall hole.
  • the stud bolt 17 also has an end flange 20 into which set screws 21 are screwed, which end on a circular steel disk 22, which is penetrated by the stud bolt 17, is flush with the wall-side contact surface of the end flange 20 and after fixing the stud on the wall together with the set screws 21, an exact vertical alignment of the support arm 2 to the wall allows.
  • the end flanges 20 can also carry the mirror holder 3, in which case only counterparts 23 are arranged at the wall-side end of each support arm 2 and the end flanges 20 and counterparts 23 have corresponding undercuts, which are one when the support arms 2 are pushed onto the stud bolts 17 Form a snap connection and fix the support arms 2 axially.
  • each support arm 2 on the right or left side of the cabinet has a frame part in the form of a bearing bolt 24 with a square profile, which can be inserted into the square bore of the support arm 2 and is locked in it by means of a spring bolt 25, one in a central bore of the Stud 17 has protruding extension 26 and is therefore not only non-rotatably mounted in the support arm 2, but is also additionally supported in the stud 17.
  • the transverse bore receiving the spring bolt 25 expediently ends in a longitudinal groove 5 so that it is only accessible after the filler piece 9 or the like stored therein has been removed for the purpose of loosening the spring bolt 25.
  • the front end of the bearing pin 24 protruding from the support arm 2 has a cylindrical sleeve 27 with a hinge axis extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bearing pin 24.
  • Extending into the sleeve 27 is a coaxial, cylindrical projection 28 of a clamping bush 29 which forms the wing part of the hinge 10.
  • a retaining cap 30 is used for fastening, the widened head of which has a larger cross section than the sleeve 27 and which is fastened according to FIG. 3 by means of a fastening screw 31 at the front end of the projection 28.
  • the sleeve 27 sits on the projection easily rotatable even after the fastening screw 31 has been tightened, its length measured in the axial direction is smaller than the correspondingly measured distance of the holding cap 30 from the inner end of the projection 28.
  • the distance between the head and the sleeve 27 is shown exaggeratedly large in Fig. 3 and should be so small that the clamping bush 29 is rotatable, but fixed in the direction of the hinge axis and as free of play as possible on the associated bearing pin 24.
  • the described design of the support arms 2 and hinges 10 enables a symmetrical arrangement of these parts at the upper or lower door leaf end using identical parts, although the clamping bush 29 points downwards at the upper door leaf and upwards at the lower door leaf.
  • the door leaf 1 is non-rotatable about all the axes arranged in its central plane, but can be moved parallel to its central plane on the two clamping bushes 29.
  • the clamping bushes 29 have two clamping jaws 35 which surround the door leaf 1 in a clamp-like manner and which, with their clamping surfaces 36 arranged parallel to the central plane of the door leaf 1, limit a U-shaped receiving gap 37 for the door leaf 1 (FIG. 3).
  • the bottom of the receiving gap 37 is beveled along a line 38 (FIG. 1), and the parts of the door leaf 1 to be inserted into the receiving gap 37 have corresponding cutouts 39.
  • the cutouts 39 are preferably symmetrical.
  • the clamping jaws 35 are penetrated by coaxial bores 40 running perpendicular to the clamping surfaces 36, one of which is a threaded hole, so that the two clamping jaws 35 can be elastically clamped against one another by screwing in a clamping screw 41, in particular if the clamping bushes 29 are made of plastic .
  • the parts of the door leaf 1 to be inserted into the receiving gaps 37 have a corresponding bearing bore 42, the cross section of which is larger than the cross section of the clamping screw 41.
  • the door leaf can be displaced parallel to its central plane within the limits defined by the bearing bore 42 and can then be fixed in this position by clamping by tightening the clamping screws 41. Because of the clamping action, a single clamping screw 41 is sufficient for each clamping bush 29, which minimizes the formation of expensive bores in the door leaves 1, in particular if mirror glass doors are involved.
  • the tubular covers 12 provided for covering the clamping bushes 29 each have a longitudinal slot 43 (FIG. 4) for receiving the door leaf 1, as a result of which the covers 12 are held on the clamping bushes 29 in a non-rotatable manner.
  • each facing 12 also has a small mounting hole 44 through which the clamping screws 41 can still be operated even after the mirror cabinet has been installed.
  • These mounting holes 44 are preferably on the inside of the panels 12 so that they are only visible when the door is open.
  • small Allen screws are preferably used as clamping screws 41 so that the mounting holes 44 can be kept as small as possible.
  • hinges 10 of the door leaf 1 On the opposite side of the hinges 10 of the door leaf 1, ie in Fig. 1 on the left side of the cabinet, appropriate hinges 10 are provided, the sole purpose of which is to carry the panel 12 and thereby give the door an elegant appearance give. So that the facings 12 pushed onto the clamping bushes of these hinges cannot be rotated relative to the bearing bolts in such a way that their longitudinal slots 43 are visible Hinges 10 anti-rotation elements (Fig. 6 and 7) assigned.
  • the cover caps 13 serve to cover the hinge sections that are still visible after the covers 12 have been pushed on and the unsightly gaps or joints between the ends of the support arms 2 and the ends of the coverings 12. According to FIGS. 1 and 3, the cover caps 13 are in the direction of the hinge axis pushed on and provided with undercuts 48 which snap behind the inner edge of the sleeves 27 in the assembled state. In addition, the cover caps 13 have abutment surfaces 49 and 50 which lie against the ends of the support arms 2 or facings 12, so that only small butt joints are visible in the hinge area.
  • the outer shape of the cover caps 13 can be chosen such that the shape of a quarter ball results.
  • the wedge-shaped beveling of the holding caps 30 makes it easier to push on the top caps 13.
  • the fitting 11 used for opening and closing the door leaf 1 (FIGS. 1 and 5) is fastened to the lower end of the door leaf 1 and acts as a handling, locking and stop element. It contains an outer part 59 which is arranged on the outside of the door leaf 2 and serves as a handle, and an inner part 60 which is connected to it and which lies on the other side of the door leaf 2 and has an abutment surface 53 and a clamping surface 52 which is essentially perpendicular to the abutment surface 53 is arranged so that the inward-facing side of the inner part 60 is designed in the manner of an elbow.
  • the outer part 59 consists of an essentially cylindrical lower part, the inward end of which is tapered to form a recessed grip 61.
  • the outer part 59 has a radial, U-shaped recess 62, which serves to push the fitting 11 onto the door leaf 1 and on the outside from a side surface, on the inside only from one semi-annular portion 63 forming a receiving opening for the inner part is limited.
  • a bearing bore for a fastening screw 64 is provided which is parallel to the central axis.
  • the outer part 59 has an annular undercut which, with a corresponding undercut, forms a snap closure on a cover cap 65 which can be pushed onto the outer end.
  • the inner part 60 has at its end facing outwards or towards the door leaf 1 a semi-annular projection 66, the outer contour of which essentially corresponds to the inner contour of the section 63 and which can consequently be pushed into this section 63.
  • the axial length of the projection 66 is so great that its outer end surface protrudes slightly into the recess 62 in the assembled state.
  • a pocket with a radial opening is formed in the projection 66 and serves to receive a filler 67. While the projection 66 has a bore whose axis is perpendicular to the stop surface 53 and which is aligned in the assembled state with the bearing bore of the outer part 59, the filler 67 has a threaded bore which is aligned coaxially with the other bores in the assembled state and for screwing in the threaded part of the fastening screw 64 is used. In addition, the length of the filler 67 is dimensioned in the radial direction so that it is completely arranged in the pocket in the assembled state.
  • the procedure for fastening the door fitting 11 to the door leaf 1 is as follows. After the recess 62 is placed in a U-shape on the door leaf 1, the fitting 11 is moved parallel to the door to the point at which it is to be fastened. Then the door leaf 1 is closed and the fastening screw 64 is tightened slightly. Finally, by repeatedly opening and closing the door leaf 1, it is checked whether the clamping surface 52 is at the correct distance from the base plate 7 and consequently closes softly but firmly, with both the correct height and the parallelism of the clamping surface 52 to the base plate being displaced by moving the outer part 59 7 can be set. Finally, the fastening screw 64 is tightened.
  • the fastening screw 64 does not protrude through a door bore.
  • a tight fit of the door fitting on the door leaf is ensured by the fact that the end face of the projection 66 is pressed ever more strongly against the door leaf 1 when the fastening screw 64 is tightened, and the latter is therefore clamped between the end face and the opposite side face of the outer part 59 the more, depending the fastening screw 64 is tightened.
  • the inner part consists of a soft rubber or a rubber-like material, there are no problems here, because on the one hand the filler 67 made of metal or another rigid material guides the material section located between it and the door leaf 1 and on the other hand the section 63 as a ring - or can-shaped stiffening part acts.
  • the door fitting can be attached at any point on the door leaf, provided that the clamping surface 52 faces the base plate 7.
  • the door fitting could also be mounted at the upper end of the door wing and there with the cooperate cover plate 8 shown in Fig. 1.
  • the door fitting could also be mounted on a side edge of the door leaf, provided that a suitable partition or end wall of the cabinet is provided there. It is also advantageous that not the door leaf itself, but the stop surface 53 acting as a buffer limits the closing process, so that sensitive doors, in particular glass or mirror glass doors, cannot be damaged.
  • the side surface of the outer part 59 is preferably covered with a layer 68 of a non-slip material.
  • Highly elastic elastomers based on polyurethane which are sold under the name “Bumpon” by 3M Kunststoff GmbH, have proven to be particularly suitable for this purpose.
  • the cover cap 65 is pressed on, so that the final state shown in FIG. 5 results and the fastening screw 64 is invisible.
  • fitting 11 with its recess 62 can be pushed more or less far onto the door leaf 1, its effect as a handling, locking and stop element can always be related to the respective position and arrangement of the door leaf within the frame formed by the support arms 2 be adjusted.
  • the fitting 11 can therefore be used optimally on furniture with the door mounting according to the invention.
  • the clamping jaws 35 in the region of their clamping surfaces 36 are preferably coated with a layer 54 made of an elastomer with high slip resistance, e.g. B. the mentioned «bumpon •, occupied (Fig. 3).
  • the mirror holder 3 can also be covered with appropriate layers.
  • Protective rings 55 made of plastic are expediently inserted into the bearing bores 42 formed in the door leaf 1, which prevent contact of the clamping screw 41 with the door leaf 1.
  • the support arms 2, the hinges 10 and the facings 12 are preferably arranged and designed such that all the filler pieces 9 and base and cover plates 7 and 8 can be removed from the support frame when the door is removed after the cover caps 13 have been removed.
  • This has the advantage that additional plates can be inserted into the support arms later and without dismantling the door, in order to attach connecting shelves or the like or to replace the existing plates.
  • the cover 12 can also be replaced or postponed. Subsequent removal of the side walls 6, however, is only possible after the hinges 10 have been removed.
  • the support arms 2, facing 12 and cover caps 13 are preferably made of plastic injection molded parts. This has the advantage that these inexpensive parts can be kept in stock in a variety of colors at the manufacturer and dealer, while the relatively expensive doors and the hinges only need to be available in one color.
  • the assembly of the doors at the end user by means of the door mounting according to the invention is extremely simple.
  • the hinges 10 and facings 12 can already be preassembled on the door leaves.
  • the support arms 2 need to be mounted, the bearing bolts 24 inserted into the support arms 24 and the cover caps 13 pressed on.
  • the spring bolts 25 automatically snap into the desired position of the bearing bolts 24 and are then only accessible from a longitudinal groove 5.
  • the parts inserted into the longitudinal grooves 5 can also be removed when the door is installed, the door can be removed again at any time if necessary. This enables an axially fixed, torsion-proof and disassembly-safe plug-in assembly of the bearing bolts 24, a very simple door assembly and a ready delivery of the door with preassembled bearing bolts.
  • the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments described, but can be modified in many ways.
