Definitions

  • the invention is based on a hair waving device according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a hair waving device is described in the unpublished European patent application EP-A1 00 30 257 (designated contracting states, BE, CH, DE, FR, GB, IT, LI, NL , SE)
  • EP-A1 00 30 257 designated contracting states, BE, CH, DE, FR, GB, IT, LI, NL , SE
  • a hair curler with a heating device based on a contact catalytic exothermic reaction is known (DE-A-15 57 290), which consists of a fuel container which has a fuel outlet opening at one end and a cover cap arranged at this end, the interior of which has an oxidation - Forms or combustion chamber, wherein the oxidation catalyst material is arranged in the oxidation chamber.
  • the fuel tank and the cover cap are equipped with channels for the supply of gaseous fuel and combustion air from the fuel outlet opening or from the surrounding atmosphere to the oxidation chamber.
  • the cap can be adjusted relative to the fuel tank by changing the free flow cross section of the channel for the fuel supply and / or the channel for the air supply so that the amount of heat generated by the heating device can be regulated within wide limits in a simple manner.
  • the fuel delivery device is a nozzle arranged between the fuel container and the combustion chamber, through which a current or flow of gaseous fuel is passed into the combustion chamber.
  • a current or flow of gaseous fuel is passed into the combustion chamber.
  • the catalyst consists of a first catalyst with a relatively long service life and a second, more active catalyst with a shorter service life, the second catalyst having a filament to which an electric current is connected to initiate the oxidation of the gaseous fuel.
  • the invention has for its object to develop a generic hair care device in such a way that the ignition device ensures a high level of ignition security and years of operational readiness and that harmful influences on the life of the battery that occur during operation of the hair care device are largely avoided.
  • This object is achieved by a hair waving device with the features of claim 1.
  • the current conductor that permanently connects the electric battery to the filament is at least partially formed from a material that is poorly heat-conducting.
  • the heat transferred to the battery by the current conductor remains relatively low, in particular because the current conductor is passed in sections through the chamber that insulates the heat flow.
  • the current conductor connecting the filament to the electric battery during the ignition process is at least partially tubular.
  • the battery can in no way be heated via this tubular current conductor during operation, since there is only a direct connection via the tubular current conductor between the filament and the combustion chamber on the one hand and the battery on the other hand during the ignition process.
  • the electric battery for the purpose of ignition can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the device against spring force in the battery chamber 96, the housing 64 of which is formed from electrically insulating material, the battery-side end of a current conductor spiraling in the area of the battery chamber a flat compression spring is bent and rests on the battery housing, while the battery-side end of the other current conductor held by the housing of the battery chamber projects into the battery chamber via a contact lug and touches the other pole of the electric battery during the ignition process.
  • the invention encompasses a wide variety of design options. One of them is shown in more detail in the attached drawing, which shows a longitudinal section through a hair waving device with an electrically operating ignition device.
  • the hair waving device consists essentially of the cylindrical rod body 56, the fuel tank 54 connected to the rod body 56 (which is filled with fuel gas), the plug 24 to be closed to the rear with a filling valve, the igniter carrier 64 to be closed to the front of the rod body 56, the ignition device denoted overall by Z, the burner chamber denoted overall by B held in the rod body, the combustion chamber denoted by 93, the between the rod body and the fuel tank 54 arranged base body 50, on which the hair clip (not shown) is tiltably mounted with the control button and finally the valve member 55 with the control device consisting of the parts 51, 52, 55, 74,75,76,101,102,103,104,106,107,108 designated with R .
  • the illustrated ignition device Z works with the aid of an electric battery 57, which is held in the igniter carrier 64 at the free end 58 of the cylindrical rod body 56.
  • the igniter carrier 64 is provided with electrical lines 61, 62, 63 or a contact spring 79, via which the ignition current reaches the filament 60 from the battery 57.
  • the operation button 59 is pressed, i.e. it is moved in the longitudinal direction of the device against the force of the contact spring 79 until the contact lug 80 touches the battery 57 or bears firmly against it.
  • the battery current now flows from the battery 57 via the contact spring 79, the electrical lines 61, 62 or the contact lug 80 and the tubular electrical line 63 to the filament 60.
  • the filament 60 now brings the inflowing into the combustion chamber B when the circuit is switched on Fuel / air mixture for ignition so that the catalytic oxidation process in the catalyst 77 starts.
  • the catalytic converter 77 consists of a stocking-like structure made of quartz wool which is coated with platinum, said quartz wool pressed into a stocking-like structure being pushed onto a thin-walled burner tube 78 which is directed towards the front, i.e. in the direction of the ignition device Z, is closed and has a plurality of bores 94, 95 for the fuel gas outlet.
  • the fuel tank 54 which is designed as a grip part, is closed at the rear by a plug 24 and is delimited at the front by the valve body 97.
  • the valve body 97 has the valve bore 98, in which the spring-loaded valve member 55 is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable.
  • the valve member 55 is sealed off from the valve bore 98 by means of a sealing ring 99.
  • the rear end of the valve member 55 has a rubber washer 76 which, in the position shown, closes the fuel outlet via the bore 101 and the valve nozzle 102.
  • a plug made of sintered metal is designated by 75, in which the fuel evaporates, which is conveyed from the wick 74 to the valve opening 103.
  • 70, 71, 72 and 73 denote foam bodies which clean the fuel in the fuel tank 54 and transport it to the wick 74, in particular when the fuel tank is only partially filled.
  • valve member 55 is pushed by the spring 104 into the open position (ie moved to the left so that the fuel gas can escape at 102) when the valve lever 106, which is tiltably mounted on the pin 105, is actuated by the actuator 107 with the control cam 108 against the force of the Regulator spring 52 is pivoted to the left (thus detaches from its contact with the regulator lever 51).
  • the fuel gas flows into the open position from the valve nozzle 102 through the mixing tube 111 into the burner tube 78 and from here through the bores 94, 95 to the catalyst 77, where it burns flamelessly.
  • the regulator rod 53 which is connected at 112 to the regulator tube 113, shortens its length so far that the regulator lever 51, which is tiltably mounted on the pin 105, is moved to the right so that that Valve member 55 is moved against the force of the spring 104 in the closed position.
  • the control mechanism 51, 53, 112, 113 can freely regulate the gas outlet from the valve nozzle 102. In the position shown in the drawing, however, the control lever 51 is blocked (in its closed position).
  • the ignition carrier 64 has a battery chamber 96 into which the battery 57 can be inserted.
  • the battery 57 or the battery chamber 96 is separated from the combustion chamber 93 by a chamber 109 which insulates the heat flow from the combustion chamber 93 to the battery 57.
  • the outside air flows through the chamber 109, for which purpose openings 110 are provided through which the ambient air can flow into the chamber 109.
  • the current conductor 61, 62 constantly connecting the electric battery 57 to the filament 60 is at least partially made of poorly heat-conducting material.
  • the current conductor 63 connecting the filament 60 to the electric battery 57 during the ignition process is at least partially tubular.
  • the electric battery 57 is mounted in the battery so as to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the device against a spring force via an operating button 59.
  • the housing of the battery chamber 96 is formed from electrically insulating material, the battery-side end of the one current conductor 61 being spirally bent in the region of the battery chamber 96 and abutting the battery housing, while the battery-side end of the other current conductor 63 held by the housing of the battery chamber 96 via a contact tab 80 protrudes into the battery chamber 96.
  • the current conductors 61, 63 are passed through the chamber 109 which insulates the heat flow and are directly surrounded by the ambient air in this section.
