Definitions
- the invention relates to a switching mechanism for circuit breakers, in which an operating knob acts on a spring-loaded contact lever via a ratchet lever and forms a latching point with the ratchet lever with the aid of a bracket articulated on it.
- the object of the invention is to improve the switching mechanism mentioned at the outset in such a way that it requires the least possible unlatching forces with the least amount of components and achieves short switch-off times. It should also be easy to assemble and take up little space. Furthermore, the mechanism should be expandable in a simple manner to generate a sudden contact actuation.
- ratchet lever and the contact lever can be pivoted as a preassembled unit about a common axis fixed to the housing and the ratchet lever acts on the contact lever in the contact closing direction via a leg spring, with a separately mounted release lever being provided for unlatching.
- the mechanism can be designed in such a way that the latch lever acts on the contact lever in the closed position on the contact lever in the contact closing direction via a leg of the leg spring that wraps around the common axis and is supported on the housing with the other leg.
- the ratchet lever can also be clamped to the contact lever via a spring which generates the contact pressure in the switched-on position, a second leg spring acting on the ratchet lever with one end, wrapping around the common axis and supporting the other end on a housing stop, is provided for switching off .
- a locking lever which temporarily locks the contact lever during the switching-on process in the open position and on which the operating knob acts in the unlocking direction is provided on the axis of the release lever.
- the switching mechanism according to FIGS. 1 to 3 consists of a double-armed contact lever 1, which forms a contact piece 2 at a lever arm end, which cooperates with a stationary contact 3.
- the contact lever is mounted together with a jack arm 4, which is also double-armed, on an axle 5 fixed to the housing.
- a leg spring 6, which also serves as a switch-off and contact pressure spring, wraps around the axis 5 and engages with one leg 6a between the latch lever 4 and the contact-side lever arm of the contact lever 1, while the other leg 6b is supported on a housing stop 7.
- the pawl lever 4 acts on the leg spring 6 with an attachment 4a and, with this attachment, engages an angled portion 1a of the contact lever 1.
- the contact lever has a U-shaped cross-sectional profile at its contact-side end, so that the leg 6a of the leg spring 6 and also the contact-side lever arm of the ratchet lever is located between the side cheeks of the contact lever.
- the contact lever 1 forms, together with the ratchet lever 4, the leg spring 6 and the axis 5, a unit which can be preassembled and can therefore be used completely in the switch housing.
- a steel ball 4b is attached, preferably welded, which together with an angled portion 8a of a bracket 8 forms the latching point.
- the bracket 8 is articulated to an operating knob 9 and is also still under the action of a release lever 11 which can be pivoted about a shaft 10 fixed to the housing.
- the steel ball 4b of the ratchet lever is latched to the bend 8a of the bracket 8.
- the approach 4a of the ratchet lever presses on the leg 6a of the leg spring, which in turn rests on the back of the web 1b of the contact lever and holds it in the contact closing position.
- the contact pressure for the closed position is thus generated by the leg 6a of the leg spring.
- the plunger 12 of the release coil 13 strikes the leg 11 of the release lever and rotates it counterclockwise, so that the leg 11 presses the bracket 8 away from the steel ball 4b of the latch lever, as a result of which the latching is released.
- the leg 6a of the leg spring now also rotates counterclockwise via the extension 4a of the ratchet lever until it strikes the bend 1a of the contact lever 1 and takes it along.
- the contact point 2, 3 is thus opened.
- the trigger lever strikes with a shoulder 11c on the contact lever and accelerates the contact opening by this impact.
- the control knob also changes into the switch-off position shown in FIG. 2 by a spring, not shown.
- a double-armed, cross-sectionally provided with a U-shaped profile contact lever 20 is also provided, which forms a unit together with a one-armed ratchet lever 23 and a common axis 24 and a spring 25.
- Contact lever and pawl lever are braced against each other by the spring 25, the spring resting on the one hand on the pawl lever and on the other hand on the back of the contact lever pressing the pawl lever in the released state with an edge 23a against the back 20a of the contact lever.
- the axis 24 of the contact lever pawl lever unit is fixed in the switch housing, not shown.
- the contact lever interacts with its contact piece 21, with a stationary contact piece 22.
- the spring 25 forms the contact pressure spring, while a further spring 26, which engages the pawl lever 23, loops around the axis 24 and is supported with the other end on a housing stop 27, acts as an opening spring.
- the latching-side end 23b of the latch lever 23 forms a spherical cap which, as in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3, cooperates with an angled portion 8a of a bracket 8.
- the bracket 8 is articulated to an operating knob 9 as in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3 and is under the action of a release lever 11 which can be pivoted about a shaft 10 fixed to the housing.
- the release lever interacts with the bracket 8 with a lever arm 11a.
- a locking lever 28 which can be locked with a hook-shaped lever arm 28a on a pin 29 attached to the contact lever.
- the pin 29 is only inserted into two aligned openings of the cheeks of the contact lever. It passes through an elongated hole 23c provided in the ratchet lever and is guided between the housing walls in a manner not shown.
- the other lever arm 28b of the locking lever interacts with a pin 9a of the control knob 9.
- a spring 30 wrapping around the axis 10 acts with the one end on the locking lever in a counterclockwise direction, while it engages with the other end on the release lever in a clockwise direction.
- the spherical cap-like end 23b of the latch lever 23 is latched to the bend 8a of the bracket 8.
- the control toggle 9 and the bracket 8 are clamped to each other in the dead center position, the ratchet lever being raised against the action of the spring 25 with its edge 23a from the rear 20a of the contact lever 20.
- the spring 25 applies the contact pressure at the contact point.
- the distance between the edge 23a and the rear of the contact lever is a measure of the erosion reserve at the contact point.
- the locking lever 28 has no function in this switching position.
- the electromagnetic short-circuit release takes place as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3.
- the switch changes to the position shown in FIG. 6.
- the hand control toggle 9 is pivoted counterclockwise, as a result of which the bend 8 takes the ratchet lever and thus the contact lever at the same time.
- the contact lever 20 is held on the pin 29 by the hook-like lever arm 28a of the latching lever 28, so that initially no contact with the stationary contact 22 takes place (FIG. 5).
- the pin 9a engages behind the lever arm 28b of the latching lever and pivots it clockwise, so that the hook-like lever arm 28a finally releases the pin 29 and the contact lever jumps into the switched-on position by the bias of the spring 25.
- the invention is particularly advantageous because the contact lever latch lever unit can be mounted outside the device and installation in the switch housing is possible in the tensioned state.
- the mechanism requires relatively few individual parts that can be manufactured and assembled fully automatically.
- the latching lever can optionally be inserted both in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3 and in the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 to 6 if the contact and latch levers are provided with a corresponding receptacle for the locking pin.
- the mechanism according to FIGS. 4 to 6 can also be used without a locking lever if the sudden contact actuation is not necessary.

Description
- Fig. 1 zeigt einen Schaltmechanismus in Einschaltstellung, während in
- Fig. 2 die Ausschaltstellung wiedergegeben ist. In
- Fig. 3 ist die sogenannte Draufschaltstellung dargestellt. In
