Definitions
- the present invention relates to a stretch ceiling construction with an at least partially elastic film, at the edge of which a plastic clamping flange is fastened, which can be inserted into the groove of a wall strip arranged on the wall and anchored therein in a form-fitting manner.
- blind ceilings are made from an elastic plastic film and are no longer hung from the ceiling above them, but instead are attached to a circumferential wall strip in the tensioned state.
- this stretch ceiling is intended for fastening the foil clamping flange, which is also referred to as "beading", formed by a virtually 180 0 bent plastic strip, which rests only with its lower portion at an annular shoulder of the Wandangnnut.
- the elastic film is attached to the upper section of the welt.
- film used in the following description and in the patent claims is to be understood to include all, at least partially elastic, materials which are suitable for the production of tensioned blind ceilings. In addition to the elastic plastic films, this also includes woven materials.
- a blind ceiling is to be stretched below a ceiling 1.
- a circumferential wall strip 3 is fastened to the room wall 2 by means of screws 4 and dowels 5.
- the wall bar 3 can be made of wood, for example, but is made of plastic according to a preferred embodiment. It has an outwardly open annular groove 6, which is provided with two symmetrically arranged annular shoulders 6a and 6b.
- the actual stretch ceiling consists of a. elastically deformable plastic film 7, which can be made of PVC, for example, and on the edge of which a fastening flange designated 8 in its entirety is fastened.
- the shape of this clamping flange best results from the cross-sectional illustration according to FIG. 2.
- the cross section of the clamping flange 8 is practically anchor-shaped, a central web 9 intended for fastening the film 7 being provided, to which an upper holding bead 10 and a lower holding bead 11 are connected.
- the lower retaining bead 11 is considerably longer than the upper one and also has an indentation 12 on its end face, so that a retaining lip 13 is formed.
- the film 7 can be attached to the lower surface of the web 9, for example, by welding, gluing or in another appropriate manner.
- the wall strip 14 shown differs from that of FIG. 1 mainly in that it is made of a plastic and in that the groove denoted by 15 has a rounded inner surface.
- the two ring shoulders 16 and 17 of this groove 15 are also arranged symmetrically, but in contrast to the ring shoulders 6a and 6b of FIG. 1, they are inclined slightly towards the vertical plane.
- the stretch ceiling With regard to the assembly of the stretch ceiling, the latter is first detected by means of a spatula S according to FIG. 1 such that the spatula engages in the gap between the web 9 and the lower annular bead 11.
- the stretch ceiling can be inserted into the annular groove 6 or 15 (FIG. 3) using a certain tension in the direction of the arrow P (FIG. 1).
- the two retaining beads slide 10 and 11 initially with their outer surfaces on the two inclined surfaces designated Fo and F u until the upper retaining bead 10 slides over the upper annular shoulder 17 and thus snaps behind the latter.
- the clamping flange 8 is pressed in further in the direction of the arrow P (FIG.
- the clamping flange deforms in such a way that the upper edge of the upper retaining bead 10 pushes further upwards, while the lower retaining bead finally moves its definitive, inward behind the annular shoulder 16 Fig. 4 occupies the position shown.
- the clamping flange 8 is thus firmly anchored within the groove 15 (FIG. 4) and the tension exerted by the film 7 via the web 9 is practically evenly distributed over the two ring shoulders 16 and 17.
- the assembly described can be carried out in a very short time with just a few Carry out operations by unskilled personnel. Wrinkle formation on the film 7 is, as experience has shown, definitely avoided.
- the two annular shoulders 16 and 17 of the groove 15 are arranged symmetrically and vertically one above the other, while the clamping flange 8 is provided with unevenly long retaining beads 10 and 11, respectively.
- the clamping flange 8 it would also be possible to design the clamping flange 8 with retaining beads of the same size and to accordingly offset the two annular shoulders 16 and 17 horizontally with respect to one another, the lower annular shoulder 16 being located further inside the groove 15 than the upper annular shoulder 17.
- a groove could also be provided on the front surface of the lower holding bead 11, which would allow the lower holding bead to be gripped by means of a spatula and pressed upwards.
- the clamping flange 8 (piping) consists of polyvinyl chloride, but could also consist of another suitable plastic or rubber.
- the wall bar 3, 14 can be made of wood, plastic, light metal or a combination of these materials.
- the asymmetrical configuration of the holding beads 10/11 on the clamping flange permits the same to be assembled and disassembled in two stages. It is obvious that it is a lot easier when laying the stretch ceiling if you first have the top Ren retaining bead 10 and then the lower retaining bead 11 can hang. When the stretch ceiling is unhooked, the lower retaining bead is first loosened, whereupon the clamping flange is pulled out of the groove completely by the tensile force of the ceiling.
- the stretch ceiling 7 has considerable elasticity in all embodiments, so that it stretches under tension by at least 50% of its original dimension, but this elastic stretch can be up to 300% and more.
- the thickness of these plastic stretch ceilings is between 0.1 and 0.2 mm,
- the stretch ceiling can be hooked up with considerable pretension during final assembly, so that retensioning is no longer necessary even after prolonged use.
- the clamping flange 8 is also resilient, so that it can be easily deformed during assembly (Fig. 3) and disassembly (Fig. 5), but assumes its anchoring position (Fig. 4) within the groove 15 by itself.
- the wall bar (3, 14), on the other hand, is practically rigid, so that its ring shoulders 16 and 17 are practically always at the same distance from one another, thus also during assembly and disassembly.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a stretch ceiling construction with an at least partially elastic film, at the edge of which a plastic clamping flange is fastened, which can be inserted into the groove of a wall strip arranged on the wall and anchored therein in a form-fitting manner.
It is known that blind ceilings are made from an elastic plastic film and are no longer hung from the ceiling above them, but instead are attached to a circumferential wall strip in the tensioned state.
According to a known embodiment, this stretch ceiling is intended for fastening the foil clamping flange, which is also referred to as "beading", formed by a virtually 180 0 bent plastic strip, which rests only with its lower portion at an annular shoulder of the Wandleistennut. In this embodiment, the elastic film is attached to the upper section of the welt.
Practice has shown that this known stretch ceiling construction has considerable disadvantages which make it difficult to use it. So is in particular, the installation and removal of the piping is relatively complicated and can only be carried out by trained specialists. For example, an insertion tool must be used for removal, with which damage to the piping is unavoidable. In addition, it has proven to be relatively difficult to achieve perfect, wrinkle-free mounting of the stretched film with the known one-sided anchoring.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to propose a stretch ceiling construction which is characterized by an extraordinarily simple assembly and disassembly and which furthermore ensures that the stretch ceiling film is held properly. This object is achieved by the combination of features defined in
The term "film" used in the following description and in the patent claims is to be understood to include all, at least partially elastic, materials which are suitable for the production of tensioned blind ceilings. In addition to the elastic plastic films, this also includes woven materials.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is described below with reference to the accompanying drawing.
- Fig. 1 ist eine Schnittdarstellung der Wandleiste und zeigt die Spanndecke kurz vor deren Einsetzen in die Wandleistennut,Fig. 1 is a sectional view of the wall bar and shows the stretch ceiling just before it is inserted in the wall molding groove,
- Fig. 2 ist eine vergrösserte Schnittdarstellung des Randbereiches der Kunststoffolie,2 is an enlarged sectional view of the edge area of the plastic film,
- Fig. 3 veranschaulicht die Lage des Einspannflansches beim Einsetzen desselben,3 illustrates the position of the clamping flange when it is inserted,
- Fig. 4 zeigt den Einspannflansch in seiner endgültigen Einspannlage undFig. 4 shows the clamping flange in its final clamping position and
- Fig. 5 veranschaulicht den Ausbau des Einspannflansches.Fig. 5 illustrates the expansion of the clamping flange.
According to FIG. 1, a blind ceiling is to be stretched below a
The actual stretch ceiling consists of a. elastically deformable
As shown in FIG. 2, the cross section of the
The assembly of the stretch ceiling described will now be explained with reference to FIG. 3. The
With regard to the assembly of the stretch ceiling, the latter is first detected by means of a spatula S according to FIG. 1 such that the spatula engages in the gap between the
As can be seen from FIG. 4, in the final assembly position the lifting lip designated 13 projects beyond the inclined surface F. To dismantle the
In the illustrated embodiment, the two
Instead of the
In a preferred embodiment, the clamping flange 8 (piping) consists of polyvinyl chloride, but could also consist of another suitable plastic or rubber.
The
It is particularly important in the arrangement described that the asymmetrical configuration of the
Thanks to the high elasticity of the stretch ceiling material and the described design of the clamping, the stretch ceiling can be hooked up with considerable pretension during final assembly, so that retensioning is no longer necessary even after prolonged use.
The
