Description

Profiled beam element comprising a deformable area for absorbing deformation of said profiled beam element during fixation thereof
Technical Field
The invention relates to a profiled beam element for producing a false wall together with a tension fabric.
In the conventional way, in the case of a false wall with a tensioned fabric, the profiled beam members are fastened to the wall with screws or nails. During the fixing, the profiled beam member is subjected to deformations caused by the pushing movement applied during the screwing and nailing operations. In addition, when the profiled beam member is positioned on a wall, the profiled beam member may slide, making it difficult to mount and fix the profiled beam member.
The present invention aims to solve these problems by providing a profiled beam member to facilitate positioning and fixing of the profiled beam member to a wall while avoiding deformation during fixing.
Disclosure of Invention
To this end, according to a first aspect, the invention proposes a profiled beam member intended to be fixed to a wall and arranged to allow fastening of a tensioning fabric in order to create a false wall, comprising a fixing flange for fixing to the wall, the fixing flange having an inner face and an outer face, said profiled beam member being notable in that the outer face of the fixing flange is provided with at least one elastically deformable region arranged to absorb the deformation of the fixing flange caused by an urging force applied to the inner face of the fixing flange during the operation of fixing the profiled beam member to the wall.
Due to the presence of at least one elastically deformable area provided on the fixing flange and arranged to provide a load bearing interface between the fixing flange and the wall receiving the profiled beam member, only the elastically deformable area is deformed, absorbing the pushing force exerted during fixing of the profiled beam member to the wall. The elastically deformable area also acts as a slip-resistant feature, making it easier to assemble and fix the profiled beam member.
Advantageously, the elastically deformable region is arranged to define a longitudinally extending absorption line outside the fixation flange.
In one advantageous configuration, the profiled beam member has a central elastically deformable region extending over the entire length or part of the length of the outer surface and two elastically deformable regions arranged on either side of the central elastically deformable region and parallel to the central elastically deformable region and located near the end edges of the outer surface.
Advantageously, the elastically deformable zone is constituted by a tab made of elastically deformable synthetic material. According to a particular embodiment, the tongue is co-extruded with the fixing flange.
Advantageously, the elastically deformable zone is arranged to define an absorption line substantially parallel to at least one groove arranged longitudinally on the inner surface of the fixing flange, the groove constituting a guide groove for an element for fixing the profiled beam member to the wall.
Advantageously, the outer surface has a recess to assist in retaining the profiled beam member on the wall.
Advantageously, the inner face has a tongue for fixing a panel provided with a groove complementary to the tongue.
The invention also relates to a beam formed by at least one profiled beam member as described above.
The invention also relates to a false wall comprising a beam formed by at least one such profiled beam member and a fabric tensionably fixed to the beam.
Drawings
Other objects and advantages of the present invention will appear from the following description, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
figure 1 shows a schematic cross-section of a profiled beam element according to the invention;
figure 2 shows a view of the profiled beam member of figure 1 provided with a panel.
For greater clarity, the same or similar elements of different embodiments are labeled with the same reference numeral throughout the figures.
Detailed Description
The profiled beam member is described below according to the position shown in the figures.
Thus, the terms "vertical", "horizontal", "upper" and "lower" relate to this position of use.
Fig. 1 shows a profiled beam element 1 fixed to a wall 2, on which profiled beam element 1 a tensioning fabric 20 is fastened. The profiled beam element 1 is intended to produce a false wall together with a tension fabric, either alone or in engagement with similar profiled pieces. In the example shown, the wall 2 is a wall shell, but it is obvious that profiled beam elements may be fixed to the ceiling.
The profiled beam element 1 has a vertical fixing flange 3 and a horizontal flange 4, the vertical fixing flange 3 being arranged such that said profiled beam element can be fixed to the surface 2 of the wall shell, the horizontal flange 4 being arranged in line with the upper end of the fixing flange 3. The web 9, which extends approximately halfway the fixing flange 3, has a horizontal portion 90 from the fixing flange 3, which horizontal portion 90 extends in the opposite direction of the fixing flange 3 with an upwardly directed portion 91, which portion 91 itself extends with an end 92.
In addition, the profiled beam member 1 has means forming a clamp for fixing the fabric 20 to the profiled beam member 1. The clip means comprises a retaining lip 40, which retaining lip 40 is formed at the lower end of the horizontal flange 4 and is arranged to cooperate with a recess 93 formed on an end 92 of the web 9.
The fixing flanges 3 are provided with longitudinal grooves on the inner surface 3A, which form guide grooves 6 for fixing elements, such as screws, nails or other known fixing means, for fixing the profiled beam member 1 to the wall 2.
The fixing flanges 3 have on their outer surfaces 3B support areas configured to absorb deformations of the fixing flanges 3 caused by an urging force exerted on the inner surfaces 3A of the fixing flanges 3 during the operation of fixing the profiled beam member 1 to the wall 2. These support areas will be referred to as absorption areas 5.
The individual absorption areas 5 are arranged to define longitudinally extending absorption lines on the outer surface 3B of the fixing flange 3.
In the example shown, the outer surface 3B is provided with three absorption areas 5. Specifically, the outer surface 3B has a middle absorbent region 5A extending over the entire length or a part of the length of the outer surface 3B, and two absorbent regions 5B, 5C arranged on both sides of the middle absorbent region 5A in parallel with the middle absorbent region 5A and located near the end edges of the outer surface 3B.
Each absorbent area 5 is formed by a tab 50 made of an elastically deformable synthetic material. According to a specific construction, the profiled beam member 1 is made of extruded synthetic material of the PVC type, and the absorption area 5 is made of soft PVC by co-extrusion.
Advantageously, the outer surface 3B of the fixing flange 3 has a notch 7. In this way, if the profiled beam member 1 is glued to the wall 2, the holding force of the profiled beam member 1 against the wall 2 can be improved.
In the example shown, the profiled beam member 1 has two protrusions 8 on its inner surface 3A, which protrusions 8 are designed to cooperate with complementary grooves provided on the panel. The projections 8 are arranged to be inserted between the guide grooves 6. Fig. 2 shows a profiled beam member 1 provided with a panel 10 having a groove 11, into which groove 11 a protrusion 8 is embedded.
The invention has been described above by way of example. It is to be understood that those skilled in the art can implement various embodiments of the invention without departing from the scope of the invention.
