- the invention has for its object to provide an offset printing unit that allows clean, sharply delimited color code rings to be applied even to very small rotary bodies. It has been found that the difficulties mentioned arise from the fact that when the ink is transferred from the ink chambers to the application roller, the rotating disks are not wiped clean enough. It has further been found that the reason for this deficiency is that if the disks and the ink chambers are rigidly arranged, it is impossible for the disks to lie against the axial boundary walls of a gap through which the disks enter the ink chambers with sufficient play.
