Abstract

1. Sink bowl having lateral walls provided with flanges extending at least along two opposite portions, characterized in that the flanges (2) have a width and are located so as to be capable of supporting a basket or an ustensil and so as to form in the bottom of the bowl a small lower compartment (3) having a drain aperture (5) in its bottom, the distance between said flanges (2) and the bottom of said lower compartment being such that when sewage is being discharged, it never comes into contact with the said basket or ustensil.
