Abstract
Description
The invention is based on a method for washing laundry washed in a program-controlled washing machine as a function of output signals from a measuring device that detects the washing water pollution.
As representative of all such known methods, that of DE-OS 14 85 076 is considered. In these processes, the degree of purity of the outflowing rinsing water is observed and the rinsing process is ended at a degree of purity of approximately 85% to 90%. This means a complete cessation of all rinsing actions; The rinse water is now completely pumped out - determined by the next program step. This is usually followed by a spin operation of some kind, which largely drains the laundry.
The known methods have the disadvantage that no consideration is given to the change in the degree of purity during the rinse cycle, even during a possibly limited measuring time within the duration of the rinse cycle. As a result, it can very often happen that when the rinsing water of a rinsing cycle flows away, a certain amount of rinsing water flows past the measuring location for a sufficiently long period of time, which has a high degree of purity compared to the total amount of water in this rinsing cycle, so that the measuring device already undesirably ends the process transmits the triggering trigger of the washing program to the program switching mechanism of the machine. The consequence of this is insufficient washing of the laundry. Furthermore, a measured value falsification by possibly introduced aftertreatment h andlungsmittel possible. The known methods would then lead to an extension of the rinsing program and to unwanted rinsing out of the aftertreatment agent.
The invention has for its object to avoid these disadvantages in a flushing method of the type mentioned above.
According to the invention this object is achieved in that the measuring device for a limited period of time at the end of each wash cycle, characterized by moving the drum and then pumping the rinse liquor, is switched to be effective, and upon detecting a determine m ungsgemäß allowable Spülwasserverschmutzung the program control device for passing over the program steps up to the draining before the last rinse.
The particular advantage of the method according to the invention over the prior art is that, on the one hand, the measurement of the soapy water contamination takes place with a strongly irregular movement and the probability of the measuring device responding prematurely is low.
On the other hand, to safeguard against this low truth Probability of the still too high total pollution of the wash liquor additionally provided a last rinse cycle, through which this pollution is then largely eliminated.
A further advantage resulting therefrom is achieved in a particularly advantageous circuit arrangement for carrying out the method according to the invention, in which switching means for activating the measuring device are provided, which work at least partially in time with switching means for the operation of the drain pump. This advantage consists in the fact that, without further circuitry measures, there is a program part in which a fabric softener or other laundry treatment provided for many program types can be carried out. For this purpose, the known methods disadvantageously require special program change switching measures. An effective switching of the measuring device in the last S is pülgang thereby excluded by appropriate measures to ensure that an additional laundry treatment agent can not falsify the measurement result.
The invention is explained below on the basis of the drawing, which also shows an advantageous exemplary embodiment for a circuit arrangement according to the invention.
- 1 is a timing diagram for an assumed washing program,
- 2 the section of an electrical circuit arrangement relating to the measuring device for a washing machine designed according to the invention.
In the upper line of FIG. 1, the level of the wash liquor of the tub is plotted over time. The line UM indicates the switched-on operating voltage for the measuring device over time, and the line UK shows the operation of the coupling magnet provided for an electromechanical program control device during the course of the program. When washing, the wash liquor rises to level 1. At the end of the washing process, a gradual increase in the liquor level to level N2 is usually provided in a so-called continuous rinse program step. Then usually a maximum of five to seven rinse cycles a b run, which are characterized on the one hand by filling the washing container up to level N2 and on the other hand by moving the drum and then pumping out the washing water.
In a hatched period at the end of each wash cycle, the measuring device is activated by applying operating voltage. This period of time can either start and end at a high level N2 or start at a high level N2 and end when pumping down or start and end when pumping down. During this period, there is the greatest probability of determining a degree of purity that affects the entire washing liquor. At the end of the first and second rinse cycle, the measuring device does not yet determine the desired high degree of purity - this is illustrated by the blank rectangles of the diagram line UM. In contrast, at the end of the third rinse cycle, the measuring device detects that a desired high degree of purity of the washing liquor has been reached (the rectangle in the diagram line UM is filled) and now outputs an output signal to the program control device. This now runs over the fourth to sixth rinse cycles normally provided in the program and only continues the program when pumping out before the last rinse cycle. If at the beginning of the run-over steps the drain pump has already started to operate, this will also be interrupted until the run-over process has ended. This is indicated by the dashed line drawn below the level N2 after the third rinse cycle. Then the tub is completely emptied and the last rinse cycle is initiated, the process of which is basically the same as the previous rinse cycle. At the end of the entire washing and rinsing program, there is an excellent washing result for all possible degrees of soiling and loading of the items of laundry to be treated.
The electrical circuit of the washing machine shown in extracts in FIG. 2 shows the internal power lines P and Mp, to which the internal equipment of the machine can be connected to voltage via switches P1 to P3 of a program control device. The following are only shown of the machine's internal equipment: a transformer TR for providing the supply voltage for the measuring device M and the downstream amplifier V, the supply voltage switch for the measuring device M, the motor for the drain pump LP and the coupling magnet KM for the electromotive, not shown. - Chinese program control facility.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the circuit arrangement is designed such that a constant voltage supply for the measuring device and its amplifier is offered by a program contact P1. However, the measuring device itself is only connected to the voltage converted by the transformer TR by the contact of the relay UM when the drain pump motor LP is switched on by the program contact P2. The measuring device M consists essentially of a Wheatstone resistance bridge, one branch of which consists of a partial resistance of an adjustable one Resistor R1 and a resistor RW and the other branch of the other partial resistor of the adjusting resistor R1 and the resistor RL. The resistors RW and RL result from the conductivity of the fresh water (RW) flowing through between electrodes arranged at a suitable location or from the conductivity of the rinsing solution (RL) located between electrodes arranged at a suitable location. The partial voltages of the two bridge branches are known to be coupled out via diodes and form the output signals for a differential amplifier V, which is set such that it allows the current to flow through the relay UK at a predetermined small difference in the signals at its inputs (-) and (+) .
The then excited relay UK switches the coupling magnet KM to voltage by means of its contact uk - the program switch P3 is closed in the rinsing program as required. Therefore, the magnetic coupling KM switches the microcontroller in chnellgang S up to the position for the pumping operation before the final rinse. There the program switch P3 interrupts the circuit for the coupling magnet. To ensure the control of the coupling magnet KM outside the washing program, the line W is provided, via which the circuit for the coupling magnet can be closed if necessary during the washing program.
The specified circuit arrangement ensures that the measuring process only ever takes place in a phase in which the washing liquor is distributed in a turbulent manner. This effectively prevents the risk of the program switching mechanism being switched on prematurely.
Instead of the operating voltage switching on for the measuring device M, which is carried out jointly with the drain pump motor LP, switching on together with the Washing drum drive motor (not shown) may be provided. Then there still has to be a switching dependency, which only enables the measuring device M to be switched on, for example, during the last drum run phase of each rinse cycle, so that wash solution which is not so heavily soiled at the start of the rinse cycle does not falsify the measurement result. Under certain circumstances, the switching dependency can also be coupled with a water level sensor that switches at level N2.
Instead of a measuring device M operating on the principle of conductivity measurement, this can also be based on any other conceivable principle. The relevant literature contains many tips for this. For example, the measurement result can be based on the turbidity measurement using light. The dark light source, which is not switched on, also acts as if maximum cloudiness were present. The rinsing process cannot be stopped prematurely either.
