Description

The invention relates to a soft pack made of a plastic film for cellulose products, in particular for holding paper handkerchiefs, with an essentially cuboid structure to form the front wall, rear wall, side walls and end walls (pack walls), a tear-open tab delimited by two perforation lines in a pack wall being able to be torn open and an adhesive strip is provided which is connected on the one hand to the tear-open tab of the soft pack and on the other hand detachably to a pack wall.

Such a pack is known from FR-A-23 34 584. According to one embodiment of this known soft pack for paper handkerchiefs, a removal opening is formed in the region of a longitudinal side wall. Two blanking tabs covering one another in the area of this side wall simultaneously form closing tabs of the removal opening in a partial area. For this purpose, the blanking tabs are provided with transverse separating cuts at a distance from the ends of the side wall, by means of which the closing tabs can be unfolded. When the soft pack is closed, the outer sealing flap is attached to the front wall of the soft pack by an adhesive strip over a corner.

In another embodiment of this known soft pack, a flap which serves to close the removal opening is provided and is formed by separating lateral, parallel perforation lines in the region of the front wall and the adjacent side wall. After this folding tab has been separated, it extends over a partial area of the front wall and over the full width (transverse dimension) of the longitudinal side wall serving as a removal opening. In the closed position there is partial overlap with the same in the area of the front wall. An adhesive strip enables the hinged flap to be detachably attached to the front wall of the pack.

Both of the above soft packs have in common that the paper handkerchiefs must be removed in the region of a longitudinal side wall. This pack construction entails a certain folding of the paper handkerchiefs, namely in such a way that a fold is turned towards the removal opening. The formation of the folds on the side of the paper handkerchiefs facing the removal opening requires a specific, complex folding process, which is inconvenient for the high-performance machines. Furthermore, packs with a removal opening in the region of the long side wall are less dimensionally stable, if, as is customary in practice, the transverse perforations for limiting the closure flaps or the flap flap are made at a greater distance from the ends of the side wall, a removal opening results is significantly shorter than the longitudinal dimension of the paper tissues to be removed.

From US-A-25 29 583 a cardboard container for receiving cellulose wipes is known, in which a removal opening is formed in the area of a front or top wall and an adjacent end wall. For this purpose, a flap marked by perforations and round punchings is marked in the area of the front wall and front wall. With the help of an arcuate, punched tongue in the area of the front wall, the tab can be separated from the originally closed package, so that the removal opening is formed. This has a smaller transverse dimension than the width of the front wall or the length of the front wall. The corresponding dimensions are therefore smaller than the transverse dimensions of the folded cellulose towels to be removed. The perforation lines run parallel to the boundaries of the associated walls of the pack. The package is not intended to be closed again.

A package made of cardboard is also known from US-A-30 12 692 for accommodating cellulose wipes. In this embodiment, a removal opening is formed by cutting out a corresponding tab in the area of a front wall and an adjacent side wall. Perforation lines on the side to delimit the tab converge. To remove the tab, a tongue is formed with an arcuate stamping, continuing the perforation in the area of the upper wall. Here, too, the removal opening is of significantly smaller width than the corresponding dimensions of the cellulose wipes in the package. A reclosure of this carton pack is not provided.

In a known cigarette pack (US-A-19 15 503), a removal opening for the cigarettes is defined in the region of an (upper) end wall. This is formed by punching or perforation lines in a lateral area of the end face. An adhesive sealing strip covers the front wall in the area of the punched areas or perforation lines over the full width and extends with a corresponding extension into the area of the adjacent side wall. At the free end of the sealing strip, a non-stick, narrow grip strip is formed, which enables the sealing strip to be gripped and pulled up. Due to the full-surface connection of the same with an opening tab defined by the punchings or perforations, the latter is raised with the sealing strip to form a removal opening. The sealing strip has larger transverse and longitudinal dimensions than the opening tab, and thus projects beyond it on all sides.

Such a pack made of cardboard is not suitable for holding paper handkerchiefs due to the arrangement and dimensions of the removal opening.

In the case of soft packs for paper handkerchiefs, it is finally known to arrange a perforation line running around the center or extending only in the area of the front wall and adjacent side walls in the plastic film, so that an opening cap can be completely or partially separated from the soft pack. Insofar as the opening cap remains connected to a rear wall, this means that it is not possible to re-seal the soft pack after removing paper tissues. These known soft packs are not equipped with an adhesive strip.

The invention has for its object to arrange and develop the tear tab in connection with the adhesive strip in a soft pack explained at the outset such that reliable opening of the soft pack, convenient, trouble-free removal of the paper tissues and extensive dimensional stability of the soft pack despite using extremely thin-walled plastic films are ensured is.

To solve this task, the. Soft pack according to the invention characterized by the following features:
  • a) the pull tab is formed as part of the front wall,
  • b) the perforation lines extend from one tab end of the tear-open tab to two corners formed on the front wall with the adjacent (upper) end wall,
  • c) two connecting perforations continue the course of the perforation lines from the corners in a partial area of the front wall adjoining the front wall,
  • d) the connection perforations are arranged along lateral folded edges of a trapezoidal outer front flap,
  • e) the perforation lines are connected to one another at the tab end by a transverse, uninterrupted, straight-line separating cut, to which the perforation lines are connected at an angle,
  • f) when the soft pack is closed, the separating cut is covered by an adhesive strip the width of which corresponds to the length of the separating cut,
  • g) the adhesive strip has at its end connected to the front wall an adhesive grip tab.

In the soft packaging according to the invention, the tear-open tab is therefore part of the front wall, from which it is separated when it is opened. This process takes place solely by actuating the adhesive strip, which grips the tear-open tab from the end of the tab. The transverse, straight-line separating cut ensures that the front wall of the packaging has no bulging deformations in the plastic film before use. The perforation lines adjoining the separating cut at an angle, namely to the corners of the front wall, in conjunction with the transverse cutting cut and the adhesive strips which are matched to the width thereof, ensure that the tear-open tab is removed correctly from the front wall.

The tear-open tab is continued in the area of the adjacent end wall, namely through the relatively short connection perforations extending in a partial area of the end wall. This makes it easier to remove the tissue.

Further features of the soft pack according to the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

Embodiments of the invention are explained below with reference to the drawings. Show it:
  • 1 is a perspective view of a first embodiment of a (cuboid) package made of a plastic film for holding paper handkerchiefs,
  • 2, a spread blank from a plastic film for producing a pack with the features of the embodiment of FIG. 1,
  • Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of the soft pack with a concave tear tab in a perspective view.

The drawings show exemplary embodiments for soft packs, which are used here, for example, to hold paper tissues 10. Packs for accepting other cellulose articles, for example sanitary napkins, napkins, etc., can be designed entirely accordingly.

The essentially cuboid packs here consist of a one-piece, rectangular blank 11 (FIG. 2) made of a weldable or adhesive plastic film, for example polyethylene. The blank 11 is first placed around the contents of the package in a tube. End flaps 12 and 13 and 14 protruding at the ends are then folded over against the contents of the pack. The individual fields of the blank 11 marked by corresponding lines in FIG. 2 thereby form a front wall 15, a rear wall 16, on the other hand narrower side walls 17 and 18, and end walls 19 and 20.

The latter end walls 19, 20 are formed by the correspondingly folded end flaps 12, 13, 14, of which the (outer) end flap 12 assigned to the front wall 15 and the corresponding end flap 13 adjoining the rear wall 16 are given a trapezoidal shape by the folding process . The front flaps 12, 13, 14 are connected to one another by thermal welding, but possibly also by gluing.

Side strips 21 and 22 of the blank 11 1 form an overlap (not shown here in detail) in the region of the side wall 17. The side strips 21, 22 are also connected to one another by thermal welding.

The aforementioned packing walls 15, 20 are delimited from one another by edges, in the region of the front wall 15 by the longitudinal edges 23 and 24 and opposite the end wall 19 by a transverse edge 25.

The packages are opened by tearing them open, but can be closed again after removing some of the contents.

In the preferred exemplary embodiment shown here, the rectangular front wall 15 is provided in the upper area facing the end wall 19 with a tear-open tab 26 which extends over the entire width of the front wall 15. In the broadest area, this has the transverse dimension corresponding to the smaller (transverse) dimension of the front wall.

The tear-open tab 26 is marked and delimited by tear lines which enable the tear-open process due to a weakening of the plastic film. In the present exemplary embodiments, the tear-open tab 26 is delimited by perforation lines 29, 30, which in the broadest sense point in the tear-open direction, that is to say in the direction of the end wall 19, at least at an angle to one another which is smaller than 180 °.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the tear-open tab 26 has an essentially trapezoidal shape, through two perforation lines 29 and 30 running to the corners 27 and 28 of the front wall 15, respectively. A tab end 31 lying approximately centrally to the front wall 15 is here the one facing Marked ends of the perforation lines 29, 30 connecting, continuous separation cut 32. This facilitates the critical start of the tearing process by grasping and pulling up the tab end 31.

In order to create an opening through the tear tab 26 which facilitates the removal of the package contents, the perforation lines 29, 30 are continued by connection perforations 33 and 34 in the region of the end wall 19, namely on the edge or within a lateral folded edge 35 of the outer end flap 12 Connection perforations 33, 34 can also be designed as a continuous separating cut.

The resulting image of the perforation lines 29, 30 including separating cuts 32 in this exemplary embodiment can be seen in FIG. 2. The simple geometric shape can be produced very easily by means of appropriate cutting knives.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the tab end 31 of the tear tabs 26 is particularly emphasized, since the tab end 31 is tongue-shaped due to a concave design of the perforation lines 29 and 30. A transverse cut 32 also adjoins the ends of the perforation lines 29, 30 here. The perforation lines 29, 30 lead here into the corners 27 and 28 of the pack.

In all of the exemplary embodiments, the pull tabs 26 are each assigned a closure member in the form of an adhesive strip 40. This is connected to a (longer) adhesive section 41 by gluing to the tear tab 26. The subsequent pull-off part 42 is designed with a considerably smaller adhesive surface and is detachably connected to the adjoining part of the front wall 15 by adhesive. A non-adhesive grip tab 43 formed at the end of the adhesive strip 40 enables the adhesive strip 40 to be gripped and pulled off. In this case, when the package is closed, the pull-off part 42 is first detached from the front wall 15. When the adhesive strip 40 is pulled off further, the tear-open tab 26 is detached from the front wall 15 along the perforation lines 29, 30 etc., since the adhesive strip 40 remains connected to the tear-open tab 26 as a result of appropriate adhesion. This tear-open process exposes an opening corresponding to the described perforation lines, connection perforations, etc., which enables the contents of the package to be removed. After a partial removal, the package can be closed again, with the aid of the adhesive strip 40. A multiple opening and closing process can be carried out.

In the present case, the adhesive strip 40 is arranged such that the separating cut 32 is covered in the area of the tab end 31. The width of the adhesive strip 40 therefore corresponds approximately to the length of the separating cut 32 here. Alternatively, the separating cut can, in some cases, be made up to the area of the perforation lines 29, 30 for better marking of the tab end 31. It is expedient to make the adhesive strip 40 correspondingly wider, so that the separating cut 32 is also covered in this alternative.

The folded paper handkerchiefs 10 are expediently arranged such that an end fold 44, which faces the opening of the pack formed by the tear-open tab 26, so that the gripping of the paper handkerchiefs 10 for removal is facilitated.
