Claims (6)

1. A casement bolt, especially a casement bolt for a door, French window or the like comprising at least an operating rod (6) provided with at least a bolting element penetrating into a keeper integral with the frame; a locking element (39) of the operating rod (6) in an unbolted position, said locking element being elastically drawn back into the unbolted holding position of the operating rod (6) and co-operating with unlocking means (65) integral with the frame; means of elastic return (28) allowing to bring the operating rod (6) from the unbolted position to the bolted position: and a driving mechanism comprising, on the one hand, a door-knob holed-piece (7) permitting the working of the rod (6) and, on the other hand, a horizontal bolt (73) movable by means of a drum (102), characterized in that, on the one hand, the door-knob holed-piece (7) is elastically drawn back into a resting position after the unbolting of the casement bolt and, on the other hand, the horizontal bolt (73) comprises a finger (81) with an inclined plane (78) co-operating with the operating rod (6) or with a heel (17) integral with said rod for bringing and maintaining said operating rod (6) in a bolting position.
2. A casement bolt as claimed in claim 1, wherein for unlocking or drawing back the operating rod (6) into an unbolted holding position, the locking element (39) transversely moves about with respect to the front face (42) of the head (37) into a slide (55) integral with said head.
3. A casement bolt as claimed in claim 1, wherein a device (28) comprising a web (29) provided on its edge (30) with a toothing (31) co-operating with a toothing (27) of the heel (17) of the operating rod (6) and pivoting about a fixed axis (32), causes an automatic return of the operating rod (6) from its unbolting position to its bolting position.
4. A casement bolt as claimed in anyone of claims 1 and 3, wherein the device (28) comprises a spiral spring (34) whose one of the ends (33) passes through the axis (32) and whose the other end (35) is fastened on to a thrust (36) integral with the web (29), said spiral spring (36) being pulled in the unbolting position and released in the bolting position involving a rotation of the web (29) causing the automatic return of the operating rod (6) in the bolting position.
5. A casement bolt as claimed in claim 1, wherein the operating rod (6) comprises an axis (79) integral with the heel (17) co-operating with the finger (81) of the horizontal bolt (73) in order to bring back, during the advance of said bolt, the rod (6) from its unbolted position to its bolted position.
6. A casement bolt as claimed in anyone of claims 1 and 5, wherein the horizontal bolt (73) comprises, on its lower edge (99), a toothing (100) co-operating with a bit or a finger (101) of a key or a barrel (102) and, on its upper edge (82), slots (84, 85, 86) serving as housing to a teat (87) integral with a vertical bolt (88).
