Claims (5)

1. Machine à écrire à mémoire comportant un clavier d'écriture (1) et un clavier de fonction (2), un dispositif de commande (3), une mémoire de travail (4) et un mécanisme d'impression (6) muni de porte-caractères globaux interchangeables (7), machine caractérisée par le fait qu'elle est dotée de moyens (9 à 12) d'entrée de commandements de fonction de premier et second types, et que le dispositif de commande (3) est conçu de façon que, lors de l'entrée d'un commandement de fonction (9, 10) du premier type, les signes des touches d'écriture actionnées ultérieurement ne soient pas imprimés, mais que les codes des touches soient mémorisés dans leurs positions adéquates dans la mémoire de travail (4) et que soient déclenchés des pas à vide, ce qui laisse des «blancs» dans le texte frappé; et par le fait que, après qu'ont eu lieu le remplacement du porte-caractères global (7) et l'entrée d'un commandement de fonction (11,12) du second type, les codes de touches mémorisés sont au moins partiellement sélectionnés et les caractères sont frappés aux emplacements appropriés dans lesdits «blancs».
2. Machine à écrire à mémoire selon la revendication 1, caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comporte plusieurs moyens (9, 10) d'entrée de commandements de fonction du premier type, et que les codes de touches d'écriture actionnées successivement sont mémorisés avec faculté de différenciation en fonction du moyen d'entrée (9, 10) actionné; et par le fait que sont prévus plusieurs moyens (11, 12) d'entrée de commandements de fonction du second type, moyens après l'actionnement desquels les codes de touches mémorisés avec faculté de différenciation sont choisis sélectivement.
3. Machine à écrire à mémoire selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisée par le fait que des touches de fonction (9-12) sont prévues pour introduire les commandements de fonction des premier et second types.
4. Machine à écrire à mémoire selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisée par le fait que les porte-caractères globaux (7) sont munis d'un repère qui peut être palpé par la machine et qui représente une information caractérisant le jeu de signes du porte-caractères global considéré (7); et par le fait que, grâce à cette information, après l'entrée d'un commandement de fonction du second type, il est procédé à la sélection, hors de la mémoire de travail (4), des codes de touches concernant le porte-caractères global considéré (7) mis en place.
5. Machine à écrire à mémoire selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisée par le fait qu'est installé sur cette machine un dispositif d'affichage (5) doté d'un générateur de signes pour tous les caractères pouvant être rencontrés, en vue de représenter au moins les caractères qui sont introduits après l'entrée d'un commandement de fonction du premier type, mais qui ne sont pas imprimés.
