Abstract

1. Heating apparatus using solid as well as liquid fuels, comprising a body or casing (1) bounding a central chamber in the upper part of which is disposed an economiser (10) constituted by a preferably cylindrical vertical sheath provided, at its upper end with a fluid-tight closing means (14) and comprising, in its lower part, a plurality of outlet openings (12) distributed on its periphery, characterised in that an inlet (16) for combustible liquid opens into the upper part of the economiser thus arranged, the base of which rests on the upper grid (8) of an assembly of superposed grids (8, 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d, 8e), the said upper grid (8) having a diameter greater than that of the base of the said economiser (10), such that the combustion of the gaseous and volatile components of the solid and/or liquid fuels escaping from the said openings (12) takes place in an annular chamber (e) provided about the said sheath (10) and the base of which is constituted by the projecting portion (8') in the form of a crown of the upper grid (8) of the said assembly of superposed grids.
