Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a dishwasher, in particular for domestic use, with an electrical heating device for heating the washing liquid and for drying the dishes.
The usual dishwashers have a heating rod made of an electric tubular heater in the container holding the dishes. During the rinsing process, part of the z. B. sprayed from distributor arms washing liquid on the tubular heater, so that it is heated and the tubular heater is cooled. These constructions have the disadvantage that dirt and detergent residues adhere to the surface of the tubular heater and dry up, so that the heat emission from the tubular heater is impaired. Sometimes the spray jets are also covered by dishes so that the tubular heater overheats locally. The dishes are dried by the radiation from the tubular heater. The drying process is accordingly uneven, ie in the vicinity of the tubular heater or dishes placed in the radiation area are heated more than covered dishes. The uneven heat transfer to the washing liquid and the dishes during the drying process leads to increased energy consumption.
The invention is based on the task of proposing a dishwasher in which both the washing liquid and an air stream are heated by means of an electric heating device, with a uniform, energy-saving heat transfer from the heating device to the washing liquid or to the air stream.
The solution to this problem results from the characterizing features of claim 1. The subclaims describe preferred embodiments.
- Fig. 1 schematisch eine Schnittansicht einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform einer Geschirrspülmaschine;
- 1 schematically shows a sectional view of a preferred embodiment of a dishwasher;
- Fig. 2 is an enlarged sectional view of the bottom part of the dishwasher.
A dishwasher has in the usual way a housing 1 with generally
Three
The
- The flushing liquid does not come into contact with the
tubular heating element 11, so that deposits on the same and local overheating are avoided. Accordingly, the pipe jackets of thetubular heating element 11 do not have to be made of expensive chromium-nickel steels, which also have to be particularly protected against stress corrosion cracking. If, in known designs, a tubular heating element is subject to stress corrosion cracking, there is a risk that the flushing liquid will penetrate into the tubular heating element and, accordingly, the machine will be energized. Such a possibility is excluded in the novel design, so that corresponding safety precautions can also be omitted. Thetubular heater 11 are still protected by thetube 12. The container 1 can accordingly also be made of plastic, since there is no risk that the plastic housing will catch fire due to radiant heat or by spraying liquid metal when a tubular heating element overheats. Furthermore, the heat transfer to both the flushing liquid flow and the air flow is extremely favorable, so that a corresponding energy saving is achieved. Since thetubular heating elements 11 are applied to thetube 6 in the form of a spiral, the air flow is rotated and swirled accordingly. The energy requirement during the drying process is accordingly low, so that it is sufficient if thetubular heating elements 11 are connected in series for the drying process. During the heating process of the rinsing liquid, thetubular heating elements 11 are connected in parallel, so that the heating time is as short as possible. This parallel connection can be maintained during the rinsing process. However, one of thetubular heating elements 11 can then also be switched off or connected in series.
The coaxial vertical arrangement of the
Instead of the
