Definitions
- the invention relates to a tooth element for guiding the weft insertion air jet in a jet weaving machine, with an opening for the passage of the air jet and a slot for the exit of the weft inserted at the following reed stop.
- the air inlet jet tends to decentralize in the direction of the thread exit slot. This effect is repeated successively in the following tooth elements along the weft line, so that the weft material to be inserted (in the following, for example, a weft thread is assumed) men) more and more can be deflected from the center of the air jet opening of the individual tooth elements and thus from the firing line.
- the thread tip can then finally hit the boundary wall of a tooth element, as a result of which the weft insertion can be disturbed.
- the invention has for its object to provide a particularly improved in this regard tooth element.
- the invention lies in at least one recess made in addition to the outlet slot in the air jet opening in the area of the air jet opening opposite the outlet slot, for the purpose of pressure equalization of the air jet.
- the tooth element 1 contains an opening 2 for the passage of the air jet. Opening 2 is provided with a bevel 20 and has essentially circular inner boundary 3. A radially directed slot 4 serves for the exit of a weft thread 28 (weft line 6) entered vertically to FIG. 1 through opening 2 during the reed stop following the entry.
- a slot 5 is arranged diametrically opposite the thread exit slot 4, which in this example ends in the full material, that is to say not in a continuous manner like the exit slot 4.
- the blind slot 5 ensures that the pressure of the air jet from the firing line 6 decreases uniformly in the direction of the two slots 4, 5. Thus there are 2 symmetrical pressure conditions in the opening. The air jet and thread can thus be easily held in the center or the line of fire 6 during the entry.
- the toothed element 1 contains an upper, approximately semicircular part 7, which is fastened to the lower part 11 of the toothed element by means of two pins 8, while maintaining play 9.
- the game 9 forms a pressure equalization in the opening 2 in a manner similar to the slot 5 according to FIGS. 1 and 2, with the difference that in this example the pressure equalization slot formed by the game 9 continues at the end of the tooth element at 12, that is to say continuously is trained.
- a square inner boundary of the air jet opening 2 according to FIG. 5, 6 is used.
- a non-continuous compensation slot 5 is provided.
- FIG. 9 it is indicated how two pressure compensation slots 5 can be arranged in that area 29 of the inner boundary 3 of the air jet opening 2, which is opposite the thread outlet slot 4, each of which is at an arc distance of approximately 150 ° from the outlet slot 4 lie.
- the slots 5 according to FIG. 9 are arranged symmetrically to the straight line 35, which is indicated by the dashed line in FIG. 9, and thus have the same arc distance from the latter.
- the arrangement of the two slots 5 enables pressure equalization to be achieved on the side of the weft line 6 opposite the thread outlet slot 4, as a result of which the air jet and weft thread 28 can be centered during the entry.
- the air jet opening 2 is 37 V-shaped.
- the pressure compensation recess 5a is also V-shaped.
- the width b at the beginning of the recess 5a is greater than the width a of the Thread exit slot 4.
- the pressure equalization can thus be designed particularly effectively.
- the tooth elements 1 When the tooth elements 1 are attached in an air jet jet weaving machine, the tooth elements are fastened according to FIGS. 11, 12 on the drawer 21 of the weaving machine on which the reed 22 is also attached.
- the tooth elements 1 When the weft is inserted, the tooth elements 1 protrude into the shed 27 formed by the warp threads 25, 26 according to FIG. 10.
- the weft thread 28 is inserted in the center 6 (weft line) of the opening 2 of the elements. During the entry, the thread 28 can be centered particularly well because each element has 1 pressure compensation slots 5.
- one or more pressure compensation slots 5, 9 are provided in addition to the thread exit slot 4 in the air jet opening 2, specifically these pressure compensation slots are arranged opposite the thread exit slot 4, so that a symmetrical force effect on the weft line 6 or the weft thread 28 to be inserted arises and this is centered during the entry.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a tooth element for guiding the weft insertion air jet in a jet weaving machine, with an opening for the passage of the air jet and a slot for the exit of the weft inserted at the following reed stop.
In a previous tooth element of an air jet weaving machine (DE-OS 27 39 431) there is a radially directed slot for the exit of the weft thread at the following reed stop in a suitable area of the circumference of the air jet opening. The tooth element or the air jet opening thus extends almost over 360 ° and continuously delimits the air jet opening everywhere. The element is interrupted only at the single thread exit slot.
In this known tooth element, the air inlet jet tends to decentralize in the direction of the thread exit slot. This effect is repeated successively in the following tooth elements along the weft line, so that the weft material to be inserted (in the following, for example, a weft thread is assumed) men) more and more can be deflected from the center of the air jet opening of the individual tooth elements and thus from the firing line. The thread tip can then finally hit the boundary wall of a tooth element, as a result of which the weft insertion can be disturbed.
The invention has for its object to provide a particularly improved in this regard tooth element.
The invention lies in at least one recess made in addition to the outlet slot in the air jet opening in the area of the air jet opening opposite the outlet slot, for the purpose of pressure equalization of the air jet.
This allows pressure equalization to be achieved on the side of the air jet opening of the tooth element opposite the thread outlet slot, i.e. on this side, too, the pressure decreases to the same extent as on the side of the thread outlet slot. This gives symmetrical pressure conditions within the air jet opening of each tooth element. The air jet can thus be centered in all tooth elements along the weft line, as a result of which the weft thread can also be kept constantly in the center of the individual tooth elements. The tip of the weft thread to be inserted can thus be completely inserted into the shed without decentralization and without disturbing knocking on a tooth element. A particularly trouble-free weft insertion is obtained by means of the air jet.

The
In the example according to FIG. 3, 4, the
In the example according to FIGS. 5, 6, the
In the example according to FIGS. 7, 8, a square inner boundary of the
Furthermore, in the example according to FIG. 9 it is indicated how two
In the example according to FIG. 10, the
When the
In the following reed stop corresponding to the
In all embodiments, one or more
