Description

The present invention relates to a drive device for a sliding panel of a motor vehicle comprising two guide rails which are integral with the body part of the vehicle receiving the movable panel and in which are engaged respective lateral edges of the sliding panel, a motor device for automatic control of panel movements and a coupling device acting on a third edge thereof and in engagement with the output of the motor device. The latter comprises a plate on which is mounted a drive motor and a movable rotary engaging element and which is itself mounted articulated on said body part around an axis roughly perpendicular to the sliding plane. of said panel, the drive device also comprising a meshing element which is integral with said body part and on which said movable meshing element is intended to roll. Furthermore, said panel coupling member is a slide in which is engaged a slide secured to the articulated plate.

The invention aims to provide improvements to such a drive device so as to ensure a regular movement of the panel in both directions.

The invention therefore relates to a drive device of the type indicated above, characterized in that the plate is slidably mounted in its own plane, on its articulation axis and the engagement element integral with the body part is a straight rack parallel to the sliding plane of the panel and integral with an arcuate guide extending in this same plane and cooperating with a follower of this guide, integral with said plate.

According to another characteristic, the drive device further comprises a second slide engaged in a second slide fixed to the panel and coupled to said plate so as to move in the opposite direction relative to the first slide, when the device is actuated. engine.

The second slide can be mounted at the end of an arm articulated on the body part and have a toothed sector which meshes with a complementary toothed sector formed on said plate.

The second slide can also be secured to an arm articulated on an extension of the plate carrying the first slide, this second arm also being secured to a third slide engaged in a guide secured to the body part of the vehicle.

  • - la Fig.l est une vue schématique en élévation d'une variante du dispositif d'entraînement suivant l'invention appliquée à un lève-glace;
Other characteristics of the invention will appear during the description which follows, given solely by way of example and made with reference to the appended drawings, in which:
  • - Fig.l is a schematic elevational view of a variant of the drive device according to the invention applied to a window regulator;
  • - Fig.2 and 3 are schematic views similar to that of Fig.l, of two other variants of the invention.

In the Figures, the drive device is applied to a vehicle door P and intended to raise and lower the window PC from this door, the window therefore constituting the panel. This is only an example, the panel may be an element other than a door window.

The drive device shown in Fig.1 has a plate 20 on which is fixed an electric motor 21 which by means of a reduction gear 22 drives a pinion 23 forming the first drive element.

The plate 20 has a rectilinear light 24 through which extends a hinge pin 25 integral with the bodywork element (here the door P). Thanks to this arrangement, the plate 20 can therefore rotate around the axis 25 and slide longitudinally relative to the latter in its own plane.

On the side of the reducer 22, the plate has an extension 26 which carries at its free end a slide 27 engaged in a slide 28. The latter is integral with the sliding panel or window PC. The extension 26 carries a finger 29 forming a follower member.

The pinion 23 meshes with a rectilinear rack 30 which extends parallel to the sliding plane of the glass PC and which is provided on one of the longitudinal edges of a plate 31 fixed to the door P. This plate has an arcuate slot 32 in which the finger 29 can slide.

In Fig.2, there is shown a drive device also comprising a plate 33 on which is mounted an electric motor 34 and a reduction gear 35 driving a pinion 36 forming a movable engagement element. The pinion 36 is engaged with a fixed toothed sector 37. The plate is articulated on an axis 38 integral with the door.

An extension 39 of the plate 33 carries at its free end a first slide 40 engaged in a first slide 41 fixed to the glass PC of the door.

The toothed sector 37 is part of a plate 42 fixed on the door and which carries not only the axis 38 for the plate 33, but also a second axis 43 around which is articulated an arm 44. The latter ends at one end in a second slide 45 engaged in a second slide 46 of the glass PC and is provided at its other end with a toothed sector 47. The latter is engaged with another toothed sector 48 formed on the corresponding edge of the plate 33.

When in the arrangement just described, the motor 34 is actuated, the rotational movement of the arm 44 is of the same amplitude, but of opposite sign relative to that of the arm formed by the plate 33 and the extension 39 Consequently, the slides 40 and 45 describe equal, but reverse, rectilinear movements. As a result, especially when the ice rises, the slides 40 and 45 exert on it equal lateral forces, which avoids an unbalanced stress on the lateral slides of the PC ice.

The embodiment shown in Fig.3 has the same advantage. In this case, a plate 49 carrying a motor 50 is mounted articulated around an axis 51 defined by a fixed pinion 52 which meshes directly with the output of the motor 50. The plate 49 has an extension 53 and a first slide 54 is engaged in a first slide 55 secured to the glass. This assembly forms an arm on which is articulated another arm 56 carrying a slide 57, 58 at each of its ends. These slides 57 and 58 are engaged respectively in second and third slides 59 and 60, one secured to the glass PC and the other to the door P.
