Description

The invention relates to a window rung of a lattice window with double insulating glazing with a one-piece holding rail made of hard material, with the ends of which each have an extension that runs parallel to the glazing and an inner or outer lattice bar is detachably connected.

Such a window rung is described in an article, published in the magazine "Baumeister", April 1978, Issue 4, page 372. There the rung strips consist of plastic profiles that are snapped onto the lugs of the holding rail.

Normal flat glass was previously used for conventional lattice windows. Up to now, lattice windows with insulating glass had to be produced with a rung of at least 55 mm width.

Further designs have become known in such a way that thin ribs made of aluminum, plastic or other material have been used in the space between the two glass panes in insulating glass in order to produce the optical effect of a lattice window.

In order to intensify the effect of a better optical design, such designs have also become known in which composite windows (so-called double windows) have been used, the outer window consisting of a conventional lattice window, but the inner window being provided with insulating glass over the entire surface.

There are a number of disadvantages with the designs shown.

The conventional design of lattice windows does not meet today's requirements for the thermal insulation properties of building windows. On the other hand, however, this conventional lattice window is the type of construction that best meets the architectural and historical requirements for appearance. This is the traditionally known version.

In addition, however, no circumferential seal in the casement is possible. Fogging of the panes at low outside temperatures cannot be avoided. Window designs with only one glass pane are no longer permitted for most thermal insulation areas.

If insulating glass panes are still used in this conventional design, a thick and unsightly rung cannot be avoided due to the absorption of greater forces. These thick rungs do not meet the requirements placed on a traditionally shaped lattice window.

The ribs inserted into the space in the case of insulating glass panes have no other function apart from a certain optical effect. The major disadvantage, however, is to be seen in the fact that from the outside as well as from the inside, when the view is not perpendicular, a large-scale reflection of the insulating glass pane occurs, as a result of which the actually desired effect of a lattice window completely disappears. In addition, these rungs, which can only be referred to as decorative strips, have no significant spatial depth, so that disadvantages in the external appearance can also be determined as a result. Another major disadvantage of this embodiment is the fact that in natural wood versions of the window frame, only very poor color matching between the natural wood and the usually monochrome painted rungs is possible. For this reason, you can usually only find white lacquered versions. In addition, it is no longer possible to recolor at a different color. It must be emphasized that most of the authorities entrusted with the protection of historic monuments no longer recognize windows of this type for buildings under monument protection.

The last-mentioned embodiment, which helps with the installation of composite windows (double windows), has the disadvantage of high cost, which arises from the production of two parallel window sashes, and also require double painting and cleaning, so that the maintenance costs also increase. In addition, however, there is also the fact that, seen from the interior, the very disruptive overall reflection effect occurs again. Another major disadvantage is the fact that this embodiment allows no or only difficult conversion of existing windows into lattice windows.

The forces acting on insulating glazing cannot be absorbed with this snap connection. Rung bars made of wood cannot be connected to the profile.

Auch dieser Vorschlag hat die Nachteile einer für eine Isolierverglasung ungenügenden Befestigung und Steifigkeit.GB-A-1 273349 describes a window, also with single-pane glazing, the glass panes of which are held on continuous strips with a rectangular profile, to which rods are attached by releasable connecting means. This proposal also has the disadvantages of insufficient fastening and rigidity for insulating glazing.

Reparaturverglasungen ohne Zerstörung der Hoizprofile sind nicht möglich.DE-C-1 699 138 describes a stained-glass window with integral wooden inner and outer rung strips, which, of course, likewise could not withstand the stresses of insulating glazing. Rectangular brackets run through there horizontally, which are inserted into the grooves of the wooden profile, but the brackets did not absorb any forces perpendicular to the pane plane or in the vertical direction. Also the manufacture and Installation difficult because of the one-piece and the complicated profile of the rung bars and because of the holders to be inserted into the grooves. Repair glazing without destroying the hoiz profiles is not possible.

Dem Flansch ist hierbei keine Sprossenleiste zugeordnet.DE-U-7726814 describes a rung profile for insulating glass panes with a light metal rail with which the glass pane is sealed. An elastic attachment profile is snapped onto the side mountings of the rail. Wooden bars cannot be snapped on. DE-U-1 816 902 describes a rung attachment consisting of a substantially T-shaped holding rail, the flange of which serves as a contact surface for the glazing and a holding profile is screwed onto the stag having an attachment. No rung bar is assigned to the flange.

The invention has for its object to provide a window rung of the type mentioned, the strips are made of wood and connect them to the support rail so that the forces acting on the strips are not only safely transmitted, but individual panes are also easily replaced can.

Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist die Erfindung dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Sprossenleisten aus Holz bestehen, daß die Halteschiene ein Doppel-T-profil autweist, dessen einer Flansch breiter ist als der andere, daß der breitere Flansch beidseits des Stegs Löcher für Befestigungsschrauben aufweist, die in die zugehörige äußere Sprossenleiste von innen her eingeschraubt sind, und daß im Bereich des schmaleren Flansches Ausnehmungen zum Eingriff lösbarer Verbindungsmittel für die innere Sprossenleiste vorgesehen sind, die breiter als der zugehörige innere Flansch istTo achieve this object, the invention is characterized in that the rung bars are made of wood, that the holding rail has a double-T profile, one flange is wider than the other, that the wider flange has holes for fastening screws on both sides of the web are screwed into the associated outer crossbar from the inside, and that recesses for engaging releasable connecting means for the inner crossbar which are wider than the associated inner flange are provided in the region of the narrower flange

The holding rail according to the invention takes over several functions simultaneously with regard to the required stiffening against wind pressure and other transverse loads, also with regard to the connection of the two aforementioned rung parts, the inclusion of connecting elements, such as. B. screws or other modern fasteners and also with regard to the absorption of diagonal tensile and compressive forces.

The advantages of this embodiment according to the invention can be seen particularly in the fact that the width of the rung can be kept very small, which in particular complies with the architectural, monument conservation and aesthetic requirements and at the same time all modern requirements for insulating glazing can be met. Nevertheless, the holding rail is not visible. Because the rung bars are detachably connected to the holding rail, repair glazing is possible

There are several options for attaching the inner rung bar to the holding rail. One embodiment is characterized in that the holding rail has a slot on the associated long side. The longitudinal slot has smooth or profiled edges. Screws engage in the slot and, if necessary, an additional web of the rung bar in question. The screws reaching through the rung bar can be screwed into the slot at any point and are firmly anchored there. The screws spread lateral extensions of the holding rail, which anchor themselves well in the rung bar.

Another embodiment is characterized in that the associated side of the profile of the holding rail is undercut.

Another embodiment is characterized in that the holding rail has a slot with a widening on one longitudinal side. The rung bar in question is hot in the slot, z. B. snapped in by a spring clip.

The attachment can also be carried out by screws passing laterally through the holding rail if a sufficient length of the holding rail penetrates into the rung ledge in question.

The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments, from which further important features result. It shows
  • 1 shows a cross section through the novel window rung with double glazing,
  • 2 to 4 different embodiments of the holding rail, partially with attached inner rung ledge,
  • 5 shows in perspective an exemplary embodiment when using the holding rail according to FIG. 3.

The novel window rung consists of an outer rung bar 1, an inner rung bar 2 and a holding rail 3 extending between the two rung bars. The holding rail 3 is preferably made of metal or a plastic with a larger strength of wood. The bars 1 and 2 are made of wood. The window rung has lateral receptacles for insulating glazing 4. An intermediate filling - not shown in the drawing - between the holding rail 3 and the insulating glazing 4 is to be recommended and corresponds to manual custom. A technically possible space between the inner rung strip 2 and the insulating glazing 4 can be filled or compensated for with a suitable putty mass (e.g. insulating glass putty) or with other suitable measures.

The outer rung strip 1 is connected in a suitable manner 7 to the holding rail 3 by means of a screw connection indicated at item 5. The inner rung strip 2 is also suitably connected to the holding rail 3, for example according to FIGS. 2 and 5 by screws 9 which engage in a preferably profiled slot 6 of the holding rail 3, or according to FIG. 3 by undercuts 7 of the holding rail 3. 4th shows a further fastening option, wherein a slot is provided with a widening 8 in the holding rail 3, in which the rung bar 2 can be pressed with a resilient clamp.

In particular in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, in which the holding rail extends into the inner rung strip 2 by a greater length, the rung strip can additionally or alternatively be connected to the holding rail by lateral screws 10.

It is also possible to provide a continuous web in the longitudinal direction on the rung bar 2, which is then pressed into the preferably smooth slot 6 in the region of the screws 9.

Thanks to the new window rung, the large weights of the double glazing can be accommodated. The profile of the holding rail is rigid. In addition, a very durable connection to the sash can be made with the help of the support rail 3. Furthermore, individual insulating glass panes can be retrofitted at any time in the event of breakage (repair glazing).
