Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for cleaning dental prostheses with a base containing an air pump and a cup-like receptacle that can be filled with liquid and cleaned in the cleaning space and can be placed on the base and into which air is introduced for cleaning.
- the task therefore is to develop a device that works automatically and works safely.
- the cup can be removed from the base and filled as before.
- the irothesis to be cleaned is easy to insert from above. If the vessel is attached, the entire device is automatically functionally connected. The air gets directly under the prosthesis to be cleaned and can therefore work optimally, the device works alone and without help as long as it is desired.
- the agent that prevents the outflow of liquid when the vessel is removed can be a special check valve or it can consist in that a distributor for the supplied air is designed so that it prevents the passage of liquid, for example by particularly fine-pored design. This also contributes to the fact that the supplied air is divided into very small bubbles, which spread in the whole liquid filling the vessel and not only rise quickly. For example, bubbles emerging on the front side and on the side surfaces of the distributor can cover the entire cross-section of a cleaning room located in the vessel. As a result, they clean quickly and effectively.
- a can is placed in the cleaning area to hold the prostheses to be cleaned, the perforated, removable cover of which is directed downwards during cleaning, the bottom of which has a hole and which fills almost the entire cross section of the cleaning area. This makes it easier to insert and especially remove the prosthesis.
- the bottom of the can can be placed directly on the distributor and thus forms a support for the prostheses in the cleaning room, so that no special support is required.
- a time switch for driving the air pump may also be expedient to attach a time switch for driving the air pump to the base, which switches the device off when experience has shown that the cleaning has ended.
- an allocation device which is also attached to the base and arbitrarily conveys a certain amount of cleaning agent into the cleaning room. Conveniently, like the pump outlet, it is automatically connected to the inside of the vessel when it is placed on the base.
- An air pump 9 is attached to the cover 3 of the base 1. It consists of a pump body 10, on the underside of which a pump chamber 12 is formed with the aid of a membrane 11, a bolt 13 and valves connecting the membrane 11 to the arm 6.
- a channel 15 of the pump body 10 leads from the pump chamber 12 via a suction valve 14 through an air filter 16 into the interior of the base, which is connected to the outside air through openings 17.
- the outlet 13 of the air pump leads via a pressure valve 19 to a connection piece 20 which projects beyond the cover 8 and carries an O-ring seal 21.
- An opening 22 branches off laterally from the outlet 18 and also leads into the interior of the sokkal 1. The pointed end of one protrudes into the opening Screw 23 which sits in a wall of the base 1 and, depending on its position, more or less closes the opening 22.
- Suction valve 14 and pressure valve 19 each have a flap made of an elastic material as the closing member.
- a vessel 24 in the form of a cup.
- a sleeve 26 Connected to its base 25 is a sleeve 26 projecting into the interior of the vessel, the interior of which forms a recess 27 that fits onto the connector 20 and its seal 21.
- a non-return valve 28 designed as a ball valve is inserted into the upper end of the sleeve 26.
- a cup-shaped base 31 is placed over the distributor 29 and stands on the bottom 25 of the vessel 24 and the top 32 thereof has numerous holes 33.
- the base essentially takes up the entire cross section of the cleaning space 34 formed in the interior of the vessel 24.
- the vessel 24 is closed at the top by a removable cover 35, which has a vent hole 36 in the middle. It is covered on the inside of the cover 35 by a splash guard 37, which prevents water from splashing out, but the holder 38 of which allows air to pass through.
- a can 39 can be inserted into the cleaning space 34 and holds the object to be cleaned. It fills almost the entire cross section of the cleaning space and lies in it with a cover 40 downwards, which has numerous holes 41.
- the bottom 42 of the box has a hole 43.
- Feet 44 made of non-slip material are attached to the underside of the base 1.
- the base is parked or fastened to a wall in a known manner (not shown), for example inserted into a wall holder.
- the vessel 24 is removed, opened and largely filled with water on a tap.
- the check valve 28 reliably prevents the water from flowing out. A few drops of a detergent or disinfectant can be added.
- the object to be cleaned is placed in the can 39 with the cover 40 removed; this is then closed and, conversely, lowered into the cleaning space 34.
- the lid 35 comes back on the vessel 24, the vessel is placed on the base 1 and is centered on the nozzle 20.
- the 0-ring seal prevents air or water from escaping.
- the electromagnet 2 is supplied with current for a desired period of time, the armature 5 oscillates and drives the membrane 11.
- the can can rise and fall depending on the level of the water in the cleaning space 34 and the amount of air supplied. This means that the object to be cleaned is always in the water level; the cleaning effect is greatest there.
- the vessel 24 can be separated from the base 1 again.
- the can 39 is removed and its contents can be rinsed under running water, whereupon the cleaned object can be removed.
- the cleaning device can also be operated without the 39-socket if the handling requirements are less.
- the vessel 24 can be used like a cup and held under a tap for filling and rinsing; the object to be cleaned is then placed directly on the base 31.
- the screw 23 If the screw 23 is fully screwed in, it closes the opening 22 and the full amount of air delivered by the air pump is blown into the cleaning room. If this is too much, some of the air can be released into the open by unscrewing the screw. If the air pump is dimensioned accordingly and the purpose is the same, the control device for the air volume can also be omitted.
- an electromagnet 46 and an associated time switch 47 are mounted in a base 45 in a manner similar to the previous exemplary embodiment.
- An anchor 48 sits on a resilient arm 49 which is clamped in a projection 50 of the base and is connected by a bolt 51 to a membrane 52 of an air pump 53.
- the pump body 54 contains a suction valve 55, to which an air filter 56 open to the outside closes, and a pressure valve 57 in the outlet 58 of the pump. Both valves are designed as ball valves.
- a screw 59 protrudes into the outlet and closes it more or less depending on the desired delivery rate.
- the outlet 58 opens into a connection piece 60, which projects beyond the cover 61 of the base 45 and carries an O-ring seal 62.
- a reservoir 64 with a removable cover 65 for a cleaning liquid is attached in an attachment 63 of the base 45.
- An allocation device 66 is connected to it. It consists of a suction valve 67, to which a pump chamber 68 closes, which is located in a housing 69 in which a piston 70 is sealingly guided. This ends on the outside with a disk 71 and is pressed outwards by a spring 72. An adjusting ring 73 is screwed onto the outside of the housing 69.
- a line 74 leads from the pump chamber 68 to a second connection piece 75, which projects beyond the cover 61 of the base 45 and contains a pressure valve 76 and carries an O-ring seal 77.
- a cup-shaped receptacle 78 sits on the base 45 and fits in a suitable and sealing manner with a sleeve 79 over the socket 60 and with a sleeve 80 over the socket 75.

- the vessel 78 there is a cup-shaped base 85 with a perforated bottom, which corresponds to the base 31 according to FIG.
- a lid 86 with a hole 87 closes the vessel 78 from above, a handle 88 facilitates handling.
- the container 78 is removed from the base.
- the distributor 81 and the check valve 82 prevent the water from escaping.
- the vessel is placed on the base. Its sleeves 79 and 80 engage sealingly over the connecting pieces 60 and 75.
- the lifting pin 84 hits the closing element of the pressure valve 76, and which is designed as a ball. check valve 82 is opened.
- the electromagnet 46 is then switched on and the further processes take place as described for FIG. 1.
- the amount of air can also be regulated with the aid of electrical or electronic means which supply the electromagnet with more or less energy instead of the screws described. In many cases it will be sufficient to switch only two stages.
- the device according to the invention can also be used advantageously without a time switch, since on the one hand it does not depend on an exact length of time, on the other hand the person who uses the device gets a certain feeling for the time required.

Description
The invention relates to a device for cleaning dental prostheses with a base containing an air pump and a cup-like receptacle that can be filled with liquid and cleaned in the cleaning space and can be placed on the base and into which air is introduced for cleaning.
From DE-GM 76 22 513 it is known to introduce the air from the pump into the vessel from above through a flexible line. There is a nozzle at the end of the line. The line must be removed to remove the container and held in it for cleaning. The air jet coming from the nozzle cannot cover the entire prosthesis to be cleaned. The line must therefore be held with your hands during the entire cleaning process and moved in the vessel. The air exits in relatively large bubbles, so that they are not evenly distributed in the liquid. The known device is therefore difficult to handle and does not have a sufficient cleaning effect.
The task therefore is to develop a device that works automatically and works safely.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the outlet of the air pump and a line leading the air into the vessel sealingly engage with one another when the vessel is placed on the base, but by removing the vessel from one another are separable, and that between the line which leads the air into the vessel and the interior of the vessel, a means is attached which prevents the outflow of liquid when the vessel is removed.
With such a device, the cup can be removed from the base and filled as before. The irothesis to be cleaned is easy to insert from above. If the vessel is attached, the entire device is automatically functionally connected. The air gets directly under the prosthesis to be cleaned and can therefore work optimally, the device works alone and without help as long as it is desired.
The agent that prevents the outflow of liquid when the vessel is removed can be a special check valve or it can consist in that a distributor for the supplied air is designed so that it prevents the passage of liquid, for example by particularly fine-pored design.
It is particularly advantageous if a can is placed in the cleaning area to hold the prostheses to be cleaned, the perforated, removable cover of which is directed downwards during cleaning, the bottom of which has a hole and which fills almost the entire cross section of the cleaning area. This makes it easier to insert and especially remove the prosthesis. The bottom of the can can be placed directly on the distributor and thus forms a support for the prostheses in the cleaning room, so that no special support is required.
It may also be expedient to attach a time switch for driving the air pump to the base, which switches the device off when experience has shown that the cleaning has ended. Furthermore, it can be advantageous to provide an allocation device which is also attached to the base and arbitrarily conveys a certain amount of cleaning agent into the cleaning room. Conveniently, like the pump outlet, it is automatically connected to the inside of the vessel when it is placed on the base.
- Fig.1 einen Schnitt durch eine erste,
- Fig.2 einen Schnitt durch eine zweite Ausführungsform.
- 1 shows a section through a first,
- 2 shows a section through a second embodiment. In the cleaning device according to FIG. 1, a base 1 contains a
magnet 2 that can be excited by alternating current, the coil of which is assigned a timer 3. It can be set to a desired cleaning time using a rotary knob 4. Theelectromagnet 2 is opposite an armature 5, which is attached to anarm 6, which in turn is swingingly attached to the housing of the base 1 by means of aspring 7.
An air pump 9 is attached to the cover 3 of the base 1. It consists of a
On the base 1 there is a
A cup-
The
The base is parked or fastened to a wall in a known manner (not shown), for example inserted into a wall holder. The
The object to be cleaned is placed in the
Then, by actuating the timer 3, the
After cleaning is complete, the
The cleaning device can also be operated without the 39-socket if the handling requirements are less. The
With a suitable design of the
If the
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, an
A cup-shaped
To fill with water, the
If one presses on the
The
Of course, instead of water, another liquid can also be poured into the
The amount of air can also be regulated with the aid of electrical or electronic means which supply the electromagnet with more or less energy instead of the screws described. In many cases it will be sufficient to switch only two stages. The device according to the invention can also be used advantageously without a time switch, since on the one hand it does not depend on an exact length of time, on the other hand the person who uses the device gets a certain feeling for the time required.
