Abstract

El carbón activado de base celulósica se hace más estable térmicamente por la exposición al agua o al ácido acuoso, y opcionalmente, a un halógeno y/o un compuesto que contiene halógeno. Tal carbón de base celulósica tratado mejora las propiedades térmicas y es adecuado para reducir el contenido de sustancias tóxicas en tiro de gases, especialmente el tiro de gases que tienen una temperatura dentro del intervalo de aproximadamente 100 ºC a aproximadamente 420 ºC.
