Abstract
Una película de silicona esta adjunta a una superficie por un enlace químico. La película de silicona consiste en cadenas de grupos de siloxane, cada cadena termina en una molécula final la misma que puede ser, un éster, un éter, o un halógeno. La molécula final puede reaccionar con agua para producir un grupo OH. La superficie es entonces relacionada con un agente de recubrimiento que reacciona con el grupo OH para producir un nuevo grupo final que mejora las propiedades de la película. Una premezcla que incluye una amina terciaria que puede ser aplicada inicialmente a la superficie para reaccionar con cualquier molécula ácida generada durante el proceso, para formar sales aminas no reactivas y no solubles en agus.
