Abstract

1. A smoking product consisting of a coated piece of tobacco and an adjacent filter system which is connected thereto by a paper coating and which contains a tobacco filter element, characterized in that a) said filter system additionally comprises a hollow filter (3) for improving the sensory properties, said hollow filter being coaxially attached to the tobacco filter element (2), on the mouth end, b) the filter comprises aromatic tobaccos without using middle stems, reconstructed or expanded tobacco, c) the filter has resistance at inhalation from 20 to 50mm of water column per cm of total filter length, and d) the filter has density of tobacco filling from 350 to 450 mg/cm<3>. 2. The smoking product according to claim 1, characterized in that a tobacco mixture of said piece of tobacco comprises from 5 to 50% of cut middle stems. 3. The smoking product according to any one of claims 1-2, characterized in that comprises a filter ventilation zone (7) extending peripherally, the ventilation is between 10 to 90%. 4. The smoking product according to any one of claims 1-6, characterized in that the hollow filter (3) is formed by the coaxial filter with wrapping (9) not containing tobacco filtering material and core from filtering tobacco (2) wherein the tobacco core not reaching the filter mouthpiece end. 12. Description

The invention relates to a cigarette with a filter according to the restrictive part of claim 1 of the claims.

Fully tobacco-containing tobacco smoke filters have been known for many years. They have good filtering properties and especially attract many smokers due to the biodestructiveness of natural origin and environmental considerations. When using highly flavored tobacco it provides improved taste of tobacco smoke.

The disadvantage of conventional tobacco filters is that the tobacco comes into direct contact with the lips and tongue of the consumer, which leads to the adhesion of tobacco and irritation of the organs of touch. The visual perception of a tobacco filter also often causes a negative reaction.

European patent 0 232 166 A2 describes a method for making a cigarette with a tobacco filter, and the mouth end of the tobacco filter is held together with a binder to avoid crumbling the tobacco.

In the Federal Republic of Germany patent 37 15 257 a cigarette consisting entirely of tobacco is described with a ventilated tobacco filter including a large amount of over-compacted expanded tobacco.

These methods and their implementation, however, are laborious and uneconomical, and also do not protect the consumer from direct contact with tobacco. The smoker is still in contact with tobacco. In addition, visual and haptic displeasure is delivered exclusively by the tobacco section of the mouth end of the filter, as well as the roughness and insufficient strength of the tobacco filter.

German patent 44 03 018 A discloses a filter for cigarettes, smoking pipes, etc., in which between the filtering material and the mouth part of the filter there is a flavoring in the form of tobacco with intense taste properties.

EP 0 539 191 A discloses a filter cigarette consisting of several segments, including a hollow filter, with the hollow filter opening closed with a swab or a fibrous portion of the filter.

The document EB 2 260 302 A discloses a cigarette mouthpiece, in which a tobacco rope can be placed as a filtering material.

The objective of the invention is to manufacture a conventional cigarette with a filter, in which the filtering element is directly connected to a tobacco extruder with wrapping paper, which has a tangibly improved and at the same time flawless taste of tobacco smoke, as well as an improvement in filtration properties as compared to commonly used filtration materials.

At the same time, the task is to eliminate the irritating effects on the lips and tongue inherent in conventional tobacco filters; in addition, the design of the filter according to its physical characteristics should correspond to ordinary cigarettes with a filter (tobacco packing density and resistance when pulling).

Other advantageous features are given in the dependent claims.

A significant advantage of the invention is to eliminate irritation of the tongue, lips and haptic irritations when using the mouth section of a hollow filter, which also due to its smooth surface has pleasant haptic and visual qualities. Another advantage of the invention is that when using aromatic tobacco in a tobacco filter, an undoubtedly improved taste is achieved. At the same time, this measure can significantly reduce the specific material costs, since less fragrant and, therefore, more profitable tobaccos can be used in the Strang. Therefore, the essence of the invention is to create a filtering system that includes both a tobacco filter and a hollow filter.

In addition to the above, the present invention allows the use of special characteristics of the filter flow.

Another advantage is the improvement of visual perception by increasing the distance between the surface of the tobacco and the mouth end of the filter. In addition, due to the use of a section of a hollow filter in a tobacco filter, the material cost savings of highly aromatic tobacco in the filter is achieved.

As a fragrant tobacco filter materials used tobacco of good sheet quality, such as tobacco with a very small amount of expanded tobacco, tobacco from the veins or tobacco film, or tobacco, pre-enriched flavors. A portion of flavored tobacco in the element of the tobacco filter significantly reduces the negative taste perception compared to the whole synthetic filter elements. To enrich the flavors of tobacco filter material can be used known methods of heat treatment.

The wrapper material for the extrusion may consist, according to the proposed form of execution, at least of a wrapping layer of reconstituted tobacco or of a natural tobacco leaf, while the covering sheet is applied in the form of a spiral winding.

FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment with a tobacco rod 1 and a tobacco filter section 2, on which a mouthpiece hollow filter 3 is mounted, which may have one of the shapes shown in FIG. 5 section shapes. The flow of tobacco smoke is directed by a hollow filter according to the Coanda effect in such a way that the flow follows a solid surface. This effect of turbulence on the phase boundary, along with the high quality of aromatization caused by tobacco smoke, leads to an additional increased separation of condensate on the surface of the hollow filter, and without an additional increase in drag resistance.

To reduce the amount of condensate and nicotine, the tobacco filter can be vented, as shown in FIG. 2. The placement of the ventilation means, for example a series of perforations 7, is preferably provided at the end of the filter adjacent to the tobacco rod. In this case, both the mainstream smoke and the supplied ventilation air flow through flavored tobacco in the longest way, which leads to maximum enrichment of the incoming tobacco smoke flow to the consumer.

FIG. 3 shows a smoking article with a ventilated section 2 of a tobacco filter and a mouthpiece hollow filter 3, with a preliminary filter 6 placed in front of section 2 of the tobacco filter on the side of the tobacco rod 1, which serves to pre-filter tobacco smoke and / or ventilation. Thus, in the sector of light and ultralight smoking articles, a tobacco filter system according to the subject invention can be used. The pre-filter 6 can be made, for example, from cellulose, cellulose acetate, containing activated carbon paper, containing activated carbon cellulose acetate, polyolefins, such as polyethylene or polypropylene. Flavoring agents or functional additives may be added to the pre-filter material 6.

In another not presented form of execution on the side of the mouthpiece facing the section of the tobacco filter, a closed flow filtering element of a known filtering material (polyethylene, corrugated cellulose, cellulose acetate) is installed. The fragrant portion of tobacco in the tobacco filter element significantly reduces negative taste perception compared to the one-piece filter elements.

FIG. 4 shows a smoking article with a coaxial filter or a filter with a core comprising a tobacco core 8 and a casing 9 of another filter material, for example cellulose acetate. As can be seen, the sheath 9 of tobacco rod 1 reaches the mouth end of the cigarette, and the tobacco core 8 wrapped in the shell 9 ends at a distance from the mouth end of the filter, so that a hollow filter 3 is formed in this zone.

The hollow filter 3 is either a hollow tube or a nozzle according to FIG. 5a, either a tube or tube with a concentric inner tube according to FIG. 5b. The inner tube 4 in FIG. 5b has, as an embodiment, a circular section, and in the embodiment of FIG. 5c is a rectangular sectional view and FIG. 56 another geometric shape. Example 1

The tobacco used in the filter is brought to a tobacco temperature in the range from 60 to 150 ° C, preferably 80 ° C, for 1-15 minutes, and subjected to high relative humidity, and cut into pieces with a width of 0.3 to 0.6 mm.

The tobacco filter is supplied from the mouth end with a hollow filter, a so-called filter with a notch, and on an ordinary cigarette machine it is connected using wrapping paper with tobacco extrusion. Cigarettes leave a pleasant visual impression and do not cause irritation of the tongue or lips when smoking.

Example 2

200 kg of tobacco were wrapped, thinly cut from 0.3 to 0.6 mm wide and further processed for use in filters. Mouth hollow filter consists of polyethylene, and the inner tube is connected to the outer wall of the hollow filter with three jumpers. The tobacco and hollow sections of the filter are made in the form of double filters and are attached to a tobacco rod by means of wrapping paper. Wrapped tobacco extrusion includes a blend of tobacco with a high content of veins and tobacco of relatively low cost. Resistance when tightening the declared filter was 82 mm BC, that is, it was in the range of resistance when tightening for filters made of ordinary materials. An organoleptic test taken from a group of 12 volunteer tasters showed that the cigarette on the subject matter of the invention had a significantly better taste compared to a cigarette with a solid tobacco filter without a hollow mouthpiece. Tasters were also interviewed about their visual and haptic impressions. A unanimous opinion was received that the negative perception of the visual, haptic, linguistic or lip-related aspects was significantly reduced compared to the reference cigarette.

Claims (14)

CLAIM 1. A tobacco product consisting of a wrapped tobacco rod and an adjacent filtering system connected to the tobacco rod by wrapping paper, the filtering system comprising a section of tobacco filter, characterized in that a) the filtering system to improve the organoleptic properties is additionally a hollow filter (3) placed coaxially with the mouth end on the section (2) of the tobacco filter, b) the filter consists of fragrant tobacco, without the use of medium veins, reconstituted or expanded tobacco, c) the filter has a resistance when tightening from 20 to 50 mm of water column per cm of the total length of the filter and g) the filter has a tobacco packing density of from 350 to 450 mg / cm ³ . 2.
