The hollow filter element adjacent to the mouth was made of polyethylene, and the inner tube was connected to the outer tube by three jumpers. The tobacco filter element and the hollow filter element were combined into a double filter and fitted to the tobacco rod using wrapping paper. A tobacco rod wrapped in a shell contained a significant proportion of veins of leaves and inexpensive varieties of tobacco. The filter according to the invention had a pull-in resistance of 82 mm of water column, which corresponded to the resistance values for filters made of conventional materials. Organoleptic testing in a group of 12 voluntary probands showed that the corresponding inventive cigarettes compared to cigarettes with a single-element tobacco filter without a hollow mouthpiece have a significantly better taste. In addition, the probands were surveyed regarding their visual and tactile impressions. It was unanimously agreed that the test cigarettes performed significantly better than the control cigarettes
