Claims (9)
1. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af termisk inhiberet stivelse og stivelsesholdige mel ved termisk behandling af naturlig stivelse, som er blevet for-tørret til et tørstofindhold på mere end eller lig med 98 masse-%, især fortrinsvis 99 masse-%, og har en pH på mindst 7, kendetegnet ved, at den termiske behandling sker i nærvær af mindst 0,1 vol.-% oxygen til atmosfærisk oxygen ved en produkttemperatur på mellem 150 og 200 °C i en vibrerende spiraltransportør.
2. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at den termiske behandling sker i nærvær af mindst 0,5 vol.-% oxygen.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1 eller krav 2, kendetegnet ved, at den termiske behandling sker i nærvær af mindst 5 vol.-% oxygen.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, kendetegnet ved, at den termiske behandling sker i nærvær af mindst 10 vol.-% oxygen.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 4, kendetegnet ved, at den termiske behandling sker i nærvær af atmosfærisk oxygen.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, kendetegnet ved, at den termiske behandling sker ved en produkttemperatur på mellem 155 og 175 °C.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 6, kendetegnet ved, at stivelsen er til stede i granulær form.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 7, kendetegnet ved, at stivelsen har et amyloseindhold på mindre end 5 masse-%, fortrinsvis mindre end 2 masse-%.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 8, kendetegnet ved, at stivelsen er en amylopek-tin-rig majsstivelse.
