Claims (13)

1. Fremgangsmåde til at omdanne insekter eller orme til strømninger af næringsmiddel, der omfatter trinnene af: (a) at kvase insekter eller orme, idet der derved opnås en mos, hvorved insekterne eller ormene derved bliver formindskede i størrelse, (b) at udsætte mosen for enzymatisk hydrolyse, idet der derved opnås en hydrolyseret blanding, (c) at opvarme den hydrolyserede blanding til en temperatur på 70 - 100 °C, og (d) at udsætte blandingen for et fysisk adskillelsestrin, idet der derved opnås en fedtfraktion, en vandig, proteinholdig fraktion og en fraktion, som indeholder fast stof.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvorved partikelstørrelsen af insekt- eller ormeresterne i mosen under trin (a) fortrinsvis er mindre end 1 mm, mere fortrinsvis mindre end 0,5 mm.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvorved mosen bliver hydrolyseret ved benyttelse af en protease ved en temperatur på 35 - 65 °C.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, hvorved proteasen er en syrlig protease, og mosen er syrnet til en pH på 3 - 6.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 4, hvorved proteasen bliver benyttet ved en pH på 6 - 8.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvorved den fysiske adskillelse omfatter dekantering og/eller centrifugering.
7. Sammensætning, der omfatter i det mindste 45 % efter vægt af afledt materiale af insekt- eller ormeprotein og højst 25 % efter vægt af insekt- eller ormefedt baseret på tør vægt, hvori sammensætningen yderligere omfatter kitin, og hvori det afledte materiale af protein har en pepsinfordøjelighed på 50 - 80 % som målt med pepsin-HCI fremgangsmåden.
8. Sammensætning ifølge krav 7, der omfatter i det mindste 50 % efter vægt af afledt materiale af insekt- eller ormeprotein, som har en pepsinfordøjelighed på i det mindste 85 % og fortrinsvis 90 - 95 % som målt med pepsin-HCI fremgangsmåden.
9. Sammensætning ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 7 - 8, hvori insekt- eller ormefedtet omfatter i det mindste 40 % efter vægt og fortrinsvis 45 - 70 % efter vægt af mættede fedtstoffer baseret på vægten af fedtfraktionen.
10. Sammensætning ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 7 - 9, der yderligere omfatter i det mindste 4.500 mg/kg Ca baseret på tør vægt.
11. Sammensætning ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 7 - 10, der omfatter 55 - 85 % efter vægt af afledt materiale af insekt- eller ormeprotein.
12. Sammensætning ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 7 - 11, der yderligere omfatter en eller flere af aminosyrer, som er valgt fra gruppen, der består af arginin, lysin, isoleucin, methionin og tryptophan.
13. Sammensætning ifølge krav 12, der omfatter 3-7 % efter vægt af lysin baseret på den tørre vægt af sammensætningen.
