Description
- Verwendung von 1-Oxy-2-methyl-4-acylaminonaphthalinen als Desinfektionsmittel Auf Grund der guten Eigenschaften der i-Oxy-2-methyl-4-acylaminonaphthaline-und ihrer Salze können diese Produkte als Desinfektionsmittel zu Haarwässern, Salben und ähnlichen kosmetischen Präparaten zugesetzt werden. Die Produkte sind farblos und im allgemeinen gut beständig. Sie können aber in besonderen Fällen wegen der vorhandenen phenolischen Hydroxylgruppe und möglicherweise entstehenden freien Aminogruppe Farbbildung verursachen, indem die an sich farblosen Verbindungen mit anderen in der Substanz anwesenden Stoffen schwachrötliche bis violette Verfärbungen bilden. So kann z. B. eine `alkoholische Lösung des i-Oxy-2-methyl-4-acetylaminonaphthalins, als Haarpflegemittel verwendet, bei besonders disponierten Personen eine Verfärbung des Haares hervorrufen.
- -Es wurde nun gefunden, daß man diese Farbbildungen verhindern kann, wenn man Zubereitungen, die ein i-Oxv-2-methyl-4-acylaminonaphthalin oder ein Salz einer solchen Verbindung enthalten, eine kleine Menge (z. B. o, i bis i % berechnet auf das gesamte Präparat) Benzoesäure oder Oxybenzoesäure oder eines Salzes oder Esters dieser Säuren hinzusetzt. Dieser Zusatz verhindert die unerwünschte Farbbildung, ohne die guten antimykotischen Eigenschaften zu beeinflussen.

Claims (1)
- PATENTANSPRUCH: Verwendung der i - Oxy - 2 - methyl - 4 - acylaminonaphthaline und ihrer Salze, vorzugsweise des i-Oxy-2-methyl-4-acetylamifionaphthalins als Desinfektionsmittel, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß kleine Mengen Benzoesäure, Oxybenzoesäure oder eines Salzes oder Esters dieser Säuren zugesetzt werden.
