Abstract

The drop blind has a concertina-folded structure (2). The bottom end is secured to an aperture (5) of the profiled rail (1). The blind is operated by cords (15,16) running to the top fixed rail and hanging down for control. The ends of the cords are run through the bottom rail via guides (14) in an end cap (7) which has a press fit onto the end of the bottom rail. The end cap has a vertical groove on the outside (17) to guide the cords and shaped guides to feed the cords into the rail. The end cap spaces the cords away from the side of the blind and provides a set amount of leverage for the cord operation to minimise uneven operation of the blind.
