Description
Storage container with stopper for moisture-sensitive Objects, e.g. B. for spark plugs The invention relates to a storage container with stopper for moisture-sensitive objects, e.g. B. for spark plugs, within which the object is elastically mounted and the effect of moisture influences detergent.
According to the invention, the stopper consists of two cup-shaped, with the open ends telescopically nested parts together one that keeps away moisture and removes it from the effects of moisture Enclose by means of serving chamber, which through openings in the bottom of the resilient, serving as a seal against the inner wall of the container outer plug part communicates with the interior of the container. This way is easy with Means both the desired elastic storage of the object to be stored by placing it on the plug and accommodating the influences of moisture Keeping away means secured in such a way that the means when removing the too protective object from the container are not spilled and after storage another object can still be used.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention shown, namely Fig. I is a section through the container and the stopper, Fig. 2 is a partially sectioned side view of the seal, Fig. 3 is a plan view of the seal and FIG. 4 shows a section through the cap which is to be inserted into the seal is and then together with this one sealing plug for the Container forms.
B. The main part I of the container consists of a vapor-impermeable Material, e.g. B. metal or plastic of low vapor permeability, e.g. B.
Polyethylene. Finds the container for storing spark plugs 2 use, it has a cylindrical shape with an opening at one end. The opening is to be closed by a plug, which consists of a cup-shaped Cap 3 is formed with side walls 4, which in a cup-shaped seal 6 with Side walls 5 is inserted telescopically. The cap is made of clear Material, e.g. B. glass or a clear plastic, so that you can get the texture a moisture absorbing agent 7, e.g. B. - silica gel, through the bottom 8 can observe through the cap.
Silica gel is blue when dry. It changes when it absorbs moisture its color by first turning reddish and then white. As long as the silica gel is a Has coloring, it therefore offers against the presence of moisture in the container adequate protection. A rib of the cap fits into a groove 10 of the seal and holds the cap and the gasket together so that the whole is a container stopper can be used.
On the inside and outside of the walls 5 of the seal are Ribs ii and I2, which are offset from one another. So it is for example one of the ribs I I opposite the space between two ribs 12. The normal The inner diameter of the ribs 11 is smaller than the outer diameter of the side walls 4 of the cap, while-the ribs I2 usually have a larger outer diameter -Have as the inside diameter of the container I. Will the stopper in the container pressed, the rubber is in the areas I3 opposite the ribs II and in the Areas 14 bent out opposite the ribs I2, so that a sealing pressure occurs, of both the ribs II on the walls of the cap 3 and the ribs 12 on the Seals the inside of the container I. There can also be a certain sealing pressure between the curved areas 13 and 14 and the container wall or the cap 3 occur, whereby the sealing effect of the ribs 12 and 12 is supplemented. By mutual Offsetting the ribs II and I2 is achieved that each rib of a pillow-like Section is supported that provides the seal pressure. This makes it a reliable one Working of the seal is less dependent on a tight fit. Although each other staggered arrangement of the ribs II and I2 forms the preferred embodiment, the seal can also be achieved with other designs. So the ribs II and 12 can, for example, also be arranged opposite one another provided that the walls and the ribs 11 and 12 are sufficiently elastic. In the event that either the ribs or the ribs I2 cease to exist the curved areas 14 or I3 opposite the remaining ribs 12 or II by contact with the neighboring surface, the sealing function of the defunct Take over ribs II or I2.
The bottom of the seal has rows of holes I5 that allow access to the moisture absorbing agent 7 in the plug. As As can be seen from Fig. 3, the holes 15 are arranged between ribs 16, which rest on the spark plug 2 and offer this an abutment.
The seal 6 can be made of any elastomeric material, e.g. B. neoprene or made of vinyl resins.
The seal is advantageously made of an elastomeric material, that withstands the temperature required to absorb moisture Medium 7 to dry. In this way it is possible to stop the wad; after that Load moisture-absorbing agents to the limit of their absorption capacity is to be reactivated by driving out the moisture through heating.
Neoprene and vinyl resins are examples of such elastomeric fabrics, which can withstand the temperatures required to reactivate drying agents must be applied.
When the container is manufactured, the cap 3 and the seal 6 usually composed with the inclusion of the desiccant, which the Side walls 4 of the cap fills. That formed by the cap and the seal The whole can then be pushed into the open end of the container I so that it forms a sealing plug. By observing the silica gel which through the transparent bottom 8 of the cap is possible through it, you can feel about it Make sure that there is still adequate protection against moisture inside the container consists. After pressing the stopper into the container, the stopper can be secured by a sealing tape I7, the flange-like edges I8 and 19 which grip a seat 20 of the cap or an edge 2I of the container.
