"Manual car wash"

The innovation relates to a car washing system which is essentially based on a 20 1 liquid container (canister model) and has been completed by the accessories listed.

In known car washing systems, nylon brushes, arranged horizontally and/or vertically, are used to move either the car or the system itself via electrically-hydraulically controlled devices, thus cleaning the car. Draining the water from the car using an air blower in the last work phase always makes manual re-leathering desirable.

Containers for applying water using pressure are known in both mobile and portable versions, but are subject to complex mechanization.

The innovation is now based on the task of creating a car washing system of the type mentioned above, which requires neither an electro-hydraulic system nor a complicated mechanical device.

This task is solved for the user by providing a sturdy liquid container for cleaning the car together with the accessories listed.

Furthermore, the innovation enables the user to not be tied to a specific time or place, avoid long queues in front of standard car washes, the car can be cleaned completely, i.e. even on curved surfaces, areas that extend into the underside of the car. The particular advantage of this innovative car wash is that the dirt is removed from the surfaces to be cleaned by a washing brush with paint-friendly bristles. The constantly flowing water washes away the dissolved dirt and thus does not rub it into the paintwork as is the case with washing with a sponge.

Another advantage is that after washing the car, the remaining water on the paintwork and window surfaces can be removed using an absorbent cloth/leather (Vileda/chamfer leather or similar). In this case, it is necessary to wring out or wash out the soaked cloth/leather. To do this, the lid of the container can now be opened and the cloth/leather in your hand can be immersed in the remaining water through the particularly large opening. By waving and wringing with one hand in the container, dirt particles adhering to the cloth/leather are washed out. If the hand with the cloth/leather is pulled out of the container, the cloth/leather can be roughly wiped off with the other hand and most of the water slides back into the container. Wringing the cloth/leather over the filling opening with both hands catches more liquid.

Economical water consumption is practiced in addition to the actual car washing.

The innovation is explained in more detail below using a description of an exemplary embodiment.

Fig. 1 shows the basic structure of a manual car washing system of the new type. The system consists of a liquid container on which the filling opening with a cover, the carrying handle and the compressed air transfer devices are attached on the top. On the bottom of the container, the drain opening is designed as a screw thread to accommodate the liquid transfer devices.

Fig. 2 shows the interaction of the individual parts of the container (1) with carrying handle (la), the external thread (Ib) and the filling opening (Ic), the screw-on lid (2) with sealing ring (2a), the retaining strap (2b) and the internal thread (2c), the drain opening (3) designed as a 1/2" screw thread and the sealing plug (4) and sealing ring (4a). To use it as a manual car wash, the sealing plug (4) is now removed and the screw-in hose nozzle (5) 1/2" with screw cap (5a) is screwed into the drain opening (3) using the sealing ring (4a). The screw-in hose nozzle (5) is designed in a curved shape at the factory. The 2.5 m long plastic hose (13) 1/2" is now attached to this screw-in hose nozzle (5) with screw cap (5a). The washing brush (14) with integrated shut-off valve (15) is attached to the end of this plastic hose.

The screw-in hose nozzle (7) 3/8" is subsequently inserted into the 12 mm hole (6) in the container (1) using one of the two sealing rings (8). Using the second sealing ring (8) and the hexagon nut (9), the screw-in hose nozzle (7) is screwed into the inside of the container (1) in an airtight and watertight manner. The 1.2 m long plastic hose (10) Gt 5 mm is put on the screw-in hose nozzle (7) and the screw valve (12) with hose nozzles is put on the other end, and the hand bellows (11) is put on this.

If you intend to clean your car, the following procedure is recommended.

Close the screw valve (5a) on the screw-in hose nozzle (5). Close the screw valve (12). Open the screw lid (2), fill the container (1) with drinking water or rainwater. The container (1) is then tightly closed using the screw lid (2). At the "washing area", after the screw valve (5a) on the screw-in hose nozzle (5) has been opened, the washing brush (14), whose valve (15) must also be open, is taken in one hand and the bellows (11) in the other hand. Air is pumped into the container (1) by squeezing and releasing the bellows (11).

Due to the integrated check valve (Ha), no more air can escape from the bellows (11) in the opposite direction. The only way for the air volume of the bellows (11) of 102 ml to escape into the container (1) is via the screw valve (12), the plastic hose (10) and the screw-in hose nozzle (7). The closed screw valve (12) is necessary so that the pressure in the container (1) cannot flow back. As the pumping continues, the water now escapes onto the surfaces to be cleaned via the open screw valve (5a), located on the screw-in hose nozzle (5), as well as via the plastic hose (13) and the washing brush (14) with the rotary valve (15) open.

The pumping capacity of the bellows (11) with 102 ml air volume is sufficient so that even after the water has come out of the washing brush, short pumping breaks can be taken without the water flow interrupting.

To ensure that the pressure within the system does not drop or get lost when the container (1) has to be moved, the rotary valve (15) on the washing brush (14) can be closed very quickly and opened again just as quickly after the container has been moved.
