Description
Lift cistern, in particular for toilet systems The invention relates to a siphon cistern that is particularly suitable for toilet systems. They are different Devices known which cause the cistern of a toilet or one other flushing device suitable for repeated use by actuation a transmission member, for example a tension member, quickly via a flushing pipe is emptied, after which automatically a further drainage even with immediate refilling the cistern is prevented until the process is arbitrarily initiated again will. Newer flushing devices work according to the suction lifter principle, whereby a temporary flooding of the highest point of the siphon line of the suction process is initiated, which then also when the liquid level in the cistern drops is continued until it is completely or almost completely emptied. Of the The inflow to the cistern is regulated by a float valve, which at Shuts off the inflow when a certain liquid level is reached in the cistern.
The flooding of the siphon is known to be the case preferably achieved in two ways. First of all by the fact that the float valve The set liquid level is always higher than the highest point of the siphon line. In this case, however, the drain pipe or the entire suction device or both are in the Resting state blocked by a bell placed over it, so that neither air nor Water can get into the siphon line. This device is at fault afflicted that it only works properly if the seal by the bell is perfect. But experience has shown that this is after a short time Time of use no longer the case, so that not only when lifting the bell water gets into the lifting device, but also in the idle state. But there with this one Device the water level is higher than the highest point of the siphon line, there is a constant flow of water from the cistern to a greater or lesser extent and a further flow into the cistern takes place. The resulting water loss has become more in use over time and considering the large number of such devices in use Flushing devices considerably. They also tried, instead of the one bell to attach a second shut-off bell, which lifts itself automatically as soon as the air is ventilated the outer bell allows water to enter the siphon in large quantities. However Even in this way, water loss is not certain in the long run avoid. One then proceeded to design the lifting device in such a way that that the normal water level in the cistern is lower than the highest when idle Point of the siphon line, and then has the suction process in the siphon device initiated by either using a water-filled cylinder, in which a displacement piston is installed, the upper opening of the lifting device temporarily flooded, so that the suction process is initiated and now Liquid is sucked from the cistern through openings which are close the bottom of the cistern. In another form, the. Suction process initiated by an auxiliary nozzle in the waste pipe of the suction lifter device is installed, the valve of which is arbitrarily opened briefly for actuation, so that now also in this way liquid is sucked in through the openings which are close to the bottom of the cistern. Avoid both devices though the water loss resulting from a leaking bell, but are relatively complicated. In addition, when the displacement piston is used the inconvenience that resilient members must be attached, which the Have to bring the displacement piston back into its rest position; such springs fail Experience has shown that theirs in a short time as a result of being flooded by the rinsing water Service. In addition, the execution of the displacement piston and the cylinder must be relatively high accuracy for such devices, if not interference should be caused by jamming or corners of the piston.
The device with the auxiliary nozzle also has considerable disadvantages, because it requires an additional valve, which .be good sealing, because it is under the full, often considerable water pressure of the water supply line. aside from that water losses are also possible here if the auxiliary nozzle is operated for too long, since then no more water will be lifted out of the cistern, but a permanent one Inflow from the water pipe via the nozzle takes place as long as its valve is open. Finally, there are devices of this type with an auxiliary nozzle and auxiliary valve also relatively expensive to manufacture.
All of these disadvantages are largely eliminated by the design according to the invention Avoided device which has the advantage that it is in every commercially available cistern can be retrofitted in place of a simple device with a bell valve can, if a standpipe is known per se by means of a suitable screw connection Art sealingly inserted into the bottom opening of the cistern.
These advantages are achieved in that with a lift flush cistern with a vertically arranged standpipe that penetrates the bottom of the cistern and a float-controlled inlet valve according to the invention below the upper one Edge of the standpipe serving as a siphon downpipe openings are arranged above whose siphon suction pipe located in the standpipe opens, its suction port in the Near the cistern floor breaks through the wall of the standpipe, and that on the Outer wall of the standpipe a preferably ring-shaped water tank with in Inside openings located near the bottom is slidably arranged. By lifting of the water tank its openings with the openings of the standpipe in Covered so that the siphon effect of the cistern through the leaking water and thus the flushing process is triggered.
In a further embodiment of the invention, there is the inner wall of the ring-shaped water tank from a sliding on the outer wall of the standpipe Tube which can be moved by means of a tension member. The movement of the pipe is through Limited stops.
In the drawing, from the further important features of the subject invention can be seen is an exemplary embodiment of the siphon cistern designed according to the invention shown. FIG. 1 shows the lift flush cistern in the idle state, FIG. 2 the lift lift cistern with the water tank raised.
In the bottom of the cistern 6 a standpipe 3 is firmly inserted, which is in communication with the flush pipe. When using a suitable adapter, in which the standpipe 3 is screwed, the whole device can with the help a nut in the bottom opening of the cistern.
In the standpipe 3, the siphon suction pipe i is arranged, which is closed at the bottom is and is connected to the cistern, for example through a connector 2, which breaks through the wall of the standpipe 3 and just above the bottom of the cistern exit. This connecting piece is sealed off from the standpipe 3. The siphon suction pipe i is open at the top. In the idle state, no water can pass through the nozzle 2 and the Suction pipe i get into the standpipe 3, if in itself known way through a float inlet valve the water level io in the cistern below the upper openings of the suction tube is held.
Another pipe 4 is pushed over the standpipe 3, the diameter of which is dimensioned so that it is easily moved on the standpipe 3 without significant play can be. This tube carries the container 5 of any shape, which opposite the wall of the pipe 4. seals tightly. The container has, for example The shape of a box, in the bottom of which the tube is 4. tightly fastened. The container is completely or partially open at the top and at or near the bottom with one or more check valves 7 are provided, which water into the container Flow in, but not let flow out.
The standpipe 3 has lateral near its upper closed end Inlet openings 8, for example slots, and the displaceable tube 4 has below, near the bottom of the container $ similar openings 9, which are so attached are that they move when moving the pipe 4. up to one through a Stop limited end position with the openings 8 of the standpipe 3 largely cover.
The upper edge of the container 5 is with the tube completely lowered q., ie in the rest position, below the lower edge of the openings 8 and below of the water level, which is set by the float valve so that it is between the upper edge of the container 5 and the lower edge of the openings 8 is. It can so in this rest position no water can flow through the openings 8.
The pipe q. with the attached container 5 can be in any in a manner known per se, for example by means of a cable, lever linkage or the like, arbitrarily be lifted up to a stop and then takes the position shown in FIG a. After the lifting force has ceased, the pipe 4 returns with the container 5 by its own weight back to the rest position shown in FIG.
The function of the lift flush cistern is as follows: In the in the Fig. I shown starting position flows at up to the highest water level io filled cistern water through the check valves 7 and the upper openings of the container 5 and to a lesser extent by the non-sealing space between the standpipe 3 and the displaceable pipe 4. and its openings 9 in the container 5 and fill it up. In the suction pipe i, too, the water level only rises up to the Height of the water level io in the flush loads; so the water does not run out of the suction pipe into the standpipe 3.
If the pipe q. lifted briefly with the container 5, so d, ate If the openings 8 and 9 are opposite each other, the content of the flows Container 5 through the standpipe 3 into the flush pipe. This also creates in other flushing devices known way a suction lifter effect, with the Suction pipe i Liquid flows from the cistern into the standpipe 3. After lowering of the container 5, this suction of the liquid through the nozzle 2 continues until the water level in the cistern has sunk so far that air through the nozzle 2 is sucked in.
If you lower the tube 4. with the container 5, the container fills up again with water, and the siphon cistern is then ready for operation again.
With the help of the invention, however, a further water saving can be achieved can be achieved by short rinsing in cases where a small amount of rinsing liquid is sufficient. For a full flush it is necessary that the pipe 4 with the Container 5 is only lifted briefly to initiate the siphon effect. That can either happen arbitrarily or it can be an inevitable with means known per se Lowering the pipe q. be brought about after about half a second.
But if you have the tube, 4 with the container 5 so long in its upper Limit position (Fig. 2) is left until the contents of the container @ through the openings 8 and 9, air flows through these openings into the standpipe 3 and prevents the siphon effect. Even after lowering the pipe q. then does not occur Suction more. It is completely sufficient to make the container 5 so large that that it holds about 1 to 2 liters of water, since with short rinses only this amount of water is needed.
