Shock weapons are needed, for example, to surprise criminals, such as hostage takers or hijackers. The shock weapons of the type in question here resemble a hand grenade and have a mostly cylindrical container with several, usually two compartments, each of which contains an active or effect charge, e.g. a bang and a flash charge. The effect charges are usually ignited using a manually operated ignition device, with delay charges between the compartments ensuring that the two effect charges are ignited one after the other in a certain time sequence. The bang that occurs when the individual effect charges are ignited and the additional blinding effect are intended to shock the person in question.
There is now a need to modify the type of effective charges and, in particular, to increase their number. In particular, this is intended to enable several effective charges to be fired one after the other in a time sequence of several seconds, approximately 4 seconds, in order to increase the shock effect on the person in question. Despite the larger number of effect charges, however, the size of the shock weapon should not be increased. These requirements cannot be met with the current design principle of known shock weapons.
The invention is therefore based on the object of modifying a shock weapon of the type in question in such a way that several effect charges can be accommodated in the container without increasing the size, which can be ignited in a time sequence over several seconds.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.
Accordingly, the ignition device for all effect charges has a common ignition channel in which a delay charge is accommodated. From the ignition channel, tap holes lead into the compartments with the effect charges at different points, with the position of the tap holes being distributed along the ignition channel in such a way that the individual effect charges are ignited at different times in the desired time sequence.
With such a design principle, it is possible to arrange significantly more compartments, e.g. seven or nine compartments, with bang/flash charges in a container that is not larger than known shock weapons, which are ignited one after the other over several seconds, so that the shock effect is increased several times over compared to known shock weapons.
Eine VariantePreferably, the ignition channel for all effect charges runs along the central axis of the usually elongated or cylindrical container, and the compartments for the effect charges are distributed around this central axis. The distribution can be such that the compartments are arranged approximately radially from the central axis and are distributed at different angles and heights around the central axis. A variant
ist, die Abteile im wesentlichen parallel zur Mittelachse anzuordnen, wobei dann die in diese Abteile führenden Stichbohrungen in unterschiedlichen Höhenlagen von dem Zündkanal abzweigen.is to arrange the compartments essentially parallel to the central axis, with the tap holes leading into these compartments branching off from the ignition channel at different heights.
In both cases, it is possible to arrange the compartments in such a way that the recoil that occurs when the effect charges are ignited is cancelled out by generating two opposing pressure pulses. The ejected shock weapon remains more or less in one place on the ground when the effect charges are ignited in this way.
However, it is also possible to deliberately use the recoil that occurs when an effect charge is fired, so that the shock weapon is thrown from its current position over a more or less short distance, and this is repeated when all effect charges are fired. This creates an increased irritation effect and thus a greater shock effect.
In der Zeichnung stellen dar:The invention is explained in more detail in two embodiments with reference to the drawing. In the drawing:

Fig. 3 eine teilweise geschnittene Ansicht eines zweiten Ausführungsbeispieles einer Schockwaffe; undFig. 3 is a partially sectioned view of a second embodiment of a shock weapon; and
Fig. 4 einen Querschnitt durch die Schockwaffe gemäß Fig. 3 längs IV-IV.Fig. 4 a cross section through the shock weapon according to Fig. 3 along IV-IV.
In Fig. 1, 1 designates a shock weapon which has a container 2 with nine compartments 3-1, 3-2, ..., 3-9 for one effect charge each 4-1, 4-2, ..., 4-9 and a manually operated rocker arm igniter placed on the container. This rocker arm igniter 5 has a secured rocker arm 6 and is screwed into a thread on the top of the container with a threaded plug 7 and sealed against it with the help of an O-ring. A primer cap 9 is located at the bottom of the threaded hole. The primer cap 9 is followed by a hole serving as an ignition channel 10 which runs along the central axis A of the cylindrical container almost to its bottom. Between the individual compartments 3-1 to 3-9, tap holes 12 are provided which extend into the ignition channel 10.
Dieser wird durch eine vorgespannte Feder inThe individual compartments 3-1 to 3-9, which are designed as radial cross holes, are each closed with a plug 13, e.g. made of soft polyethylene, so that the effect charge contained therein is also held securely. The radial tap holes 12 are arranged at different locations along the ignition channel, with the compartments also being distributed angularly around the central axis so that when the delay charge burns, the individual effect charges are ignited one after the other in a certain time sequence. The time sequence during ignition can also be influenced by the burning speed of the delay charge. The ignition is triggered by releasing the safety catch on the rocker arm 6 and throwing the shock weapon away. The rocker arm swings counterclockwise under the action of a spring in Fig. 1 and thereby unlocks the firing pin of the igniter 5. This is held in place by a pre-tensioned spring in
Hierdurch wird der Verzögerungssatz 11 gezündet.towards the primer cap 9 and ignites it. This ignites the delay charge 11.
In the shock weapon according to Fig. 1, the individual compartments 3-1 to 3-9 are located at different heights along the central axis A. This has the effect that when an effect charge is fired, the entire shock weapon lying on the ground is thrown a short distance by the recoil, which is repeated when the other effect charges are subsequently fired.
In Fig. 3 and 4, the same reference numbers are used for identical or identically functioning parts. The shock weapon 1 shown in Fig. 3 and 4 again has a container 2 in which six compartments 3-1 to 3-6 are arranged regularly distributed around the central axis A, which are designed as simple holes parallel to the central longitudinal axis A. In turn, an effect charge 4-1 to 4-6 is arranged in each compartment. The compartments are closed off on both sides, i.e. on the top and bottom, of the container 2 by plastic plugs 13. A rocker arm igniter 5 with a rocker arm 6 is screwed onto this container. As described above, the rocker arm igniter ignites a primer cap 9 and with it a delay charge 11, which is arranged in a hole serving as an ignition channel 10 along the central axis A. From this ignition channel 11, tap holes 12 branch off into the individual compartments at different heights, so that the effect charges located therein are ignited one after the other in a specific time sequence when the delay charge 11 burns.
Da die einzelnen Effektladungen 4-1 bis 4-6 im wesentlichen mehr oder minder mittig angezündet werden, breitet sich die Explosionsfront nach beiden Seiten aus, so daß die Flamme der Ladung sowohl an der Unterseite als auch an derSince the individual effect charges 4-1 to 4-6 are essentially ignited more or less centrally, the explosion front spreads out to both sides, so that the flame of the charge is ignited both at the bottom and at the
Hierdurch wird praktisch kein Rückstoß erzeugt.top of the container after the plugs 13 have been destroyed. This produces practically no recoil.
The containers of the shock weapons shown can also be covered with a preferably self-adhesive film 14, as shown in Fig. 3, at least on their outer side wall. This film can then be used to provide labels, for example.
