The invention relates to a housing system for electrical devices, with a plug and a socket as well as a control or switching arrangement between the socket and the plug.

Such devices have been known for a long time and are mainly sold in their design as so-called socket-separator units. Such devices are so-called mono products, i.e. they are sold as a whole designed for the relevant application and product design. In the meantime, however, a need for a wide variety of consumer devices has emerged on the market, where it is important to be able to control certain electrical consumers from external circumstances.

It is now the object of the invention to provide a housing system which is constructed from various standard modules and can be easily adapted to the various device requirements.

To solve this problem, it is proposed to construct the housing system from a housing base with a plug, a first housing top with a socket and a second housing top with the control or switching arrangement and to connect the two housing parts

In Figures 1 and 2, the first embodiment of the invention shows the first housing upper part 1 with a socket 2 and the second housing upper part 3, which has a control or switching arrangement. In the present case, this is an electronic random number generator. In Figure 2, the housing lower part 4 can be seen, on the underside of which, exactly under the socket 2, a plug 5 is arranged. The socket and the plug are arranged in an interchangeable manner in the housing upper part and in the housing lower part, respectively, and can be exchanged for plug systems as required in other countries.

The second embodiment of the invention shows a splash-proof version. The device is constructed in the same way as that shown in Figure 1, but the first upper housing part 1 is replaced by an upper housing part 6 in which a cover 7 covers the socket 2 and protects it against splash water.

Figure 5 shows a cross-section of the basic structure of the housing system, whereby the socket and the plug are shown for the sake of clarity.

since known components have been omitted. This is an arrangement according to the first embodiment. The first housing upper part 1 is placed on the housing lower part 4 in such a way that the socket and plug lie on a common axis 8. The upper part is provided with a spring 9 which engages in a groove 10 in the lower part. The fastening is carried out by pillars 11a and 11b formed on the upper part in pillars 12a and 12b formed on the lower part. All pillars are hollow and are connected to one another from below by screws (not shown).

The second upper housing part 3 is attached to a pillar 14 of the lower housing part on one side with a pillar 13. On its right-hand side in the drawing, it engages under the first upper housing part 1 with a part 15 molded onto the side and a groove 16 and is secured by the latter. The second upper housing part 3 also rests with a spring 9 in a groove 10 of the lower housing part as shown in Figure 5a. Pillars 17a and 17b are also arranged on the second upper housing part 3, which carry a circuit board 18 with electrical components. These components 19 represent the random generator forming the control or switching arrangement. Finally, electrical lines 20 lead from the circuit board 18, which are held separately from one another by webs 21 and lead - in a manner not shown - into the area of the plug and the socket. The arrangement of the webs 21 can be seen even more clearly in Figure 6, as can the circumferential groove 10 in the housing base 4.
