Um die grofsen Schwierigkeiten, welche das Suchen der Ventile bei Saugsätzen der Bergwerkspumpwerke etc. mittelst der sogenannten Ventilsucher behufs Uebertagehebens verursacht, zu vermeiden, wende ich das in beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellte und im folgenden beschriebene Verfahren an.The great difficulties involved in finding the valves in suction units in mine pumping stations etc. caused by the so-called valve locator for the purpose of uplifting, To avoid this, I use the one shown in the accompanying drawing and described below Procedure.
Das Kolbengestänge α wird mit einer eisernen hohlen Hülse b auf geeignete Art verbunden. Die Hülse nimmt den Kolben c auf und hält denselben mittelst des an ihrem unteren Theil angeschnittenen Gewindes und der darauf geschraubten Mutter d fest. Die in der genannten Hülse befindliche Ventilstange e besteht aus einem Stück, nimmt in ihrem unteren Theil den Ventilkörper f auf bezw. ist sie mittelst eines Keils, wie gezeichnet, mit demselben verbunden. Beim Betriebe vermittelt das Gestänge a den Auf- und Niedergang des Kolbens c in Verbindung mit der Hülse b, während sich die letztere auf der feststehenden Ventilstange e führt. Die Zeichnung stellt die tiefste Stellung des Gestänges bezw. Kolbens dar. Will man behufs Liderns, Auswechselns oder behufs Vornahme von Reparaturen, die sich vom Ventiloder Liderkasten aus nicht vornehmen lassen, den Kolben oder das Ventil heben, so wird das Gestänge so hoch gehoben, bis der Kopf der Ventilstange e auf dem Boden der zweiten Mutter i, die zugleich den untersten Abschlufs der Hülse bildet, und behufs Vermeidung des Loswerdens mit Linksgewinde gegenüber der oberen Mutter d, welche Rechtsgewinde hat, versehen ist, aufsitzt. Beim fortgesetzten Heben wird der Kolben mit dem darunter sitzenden Ventil zu Tage gehoben werden können. Es ist einleuchtend, dafs man bei diesem Arrangement mit dem Kolben auch das Ventil heben mufs oder umgekehrt, was aber, da erfahrungsmäfsig selten ein, gewöhnlich beide Theile reparaturbedürftig sind, durchaus kein Fehler ist, da es Gelegenheit giebt, sich von der Betriebsfähigkeit beider Theile überzeugen zu können, ohne erst die bedeutenden Zeitverluste eintreten lassen zu müssen, die das bisher übliche Verfahren mit sich brachte, den gebräuchlichen Ventilsucher oder andere Vorrichtungen zum Heben des Ventils anwenden zu müssen.The piston rod α is connected to an iron hollow sleeve b in a suitable manner.
