Die UKW-Drossel D verhindert unerwünschtes Eindringen nicht hochfrequenter Störspannungen, so daß die Glimmlampe Gl gegenüber bereits bekannten Einrichtungen nur dann aufleuchtet, wenn der Hochfrequenzkreis entsprechend kurz,#%-ellig angestoßen wird. Das Annähern des Taststabes T an den Hochspannungsteil der Zündeinrichtung sorgt weiterhin für eine exakte und abgegrenzte Anzeige der Hochfrequenzimpulse durch die sich dabei zwangsläufig einstellende Dosierung der Energie, während z. B. andere Störimpulse infolge geringerer Intensität nicht zur Anzeige gelangen, was gegenüber bereits bekannten Einrichtungen, wie z. B. Zündspannungsprüfern usw., einen wesentlichen Vorteil darstellt.
