Connection piece for controlling the heddle frame of weaving machines

The present invention relates to a connector for controlling the heddle frames of looms with a pair of opposing slats and end plates, which have a shaft connecting the heald frame.

There are various types of connection pieces of the type mentioned, but they are with respect to functional reliability, ease of use and manufacturing costs could be improved.

According to the invention this object is achieved in that a seat with a peripheral recess inside the shaft protruding from the one plate is formed; that the other plate accordingly the shaft and seat formed therein have a protruding slot with a peripheral protrusion which is freely insertable into the seat, the projection and the recess at each other displaced in the longitudinal direction of the connecting piece, the panels-bearing strips in engagement and wherein the strips can be locked with a clamp in accordance with the toothing.

It can be seen from the drawing that the connecting piece according to the invention has two end plates 1, 2 which are supported by two strips 3, 4. The bars 3, 4 are designed in such a way that they can be brought ^{into engagement with one another in accordance with the teeth 3 1} , 4 ¹ formed on them, both bars being lockable by means of a latch clamp 5 in the variable position given by the teeth.

At the end of the plate 1, the shaft 6 for connecting the strand frame is attached. The frame can e.g. be connected by the component 7 (Fig. 1). The shaft 6 has one with a peripheral recess provided seat 8.

In contrast, at the end of the plate 2, corresponding to the shaft 6, a pin 10 with one of the recess corresponding projection 11 attached.

To assemble the connecting piece according to the invention, the plates 1 and 2 are placed side by side and the strips 3 and 4 are joined together by means of the clamp 5 according to FIGS. The pin 10 can be pushed freely into the seat 8 (the seat 8 is therefore wide enough), whereupon the pin is fastened in the recess 9 of the seat 8 by means of its projection 11. The pin is pushed either against the outer edge (Fig. 2 and 3) or against the inner edge (Fig. 4 and 5), the toothing 3 ¹ and 4 ^{1 of} the strips 3 and 4 in engagement depending on the relative position stand.
